More than 1k for a room in Paris. Nice location. Heating in not working since 1 month. 16 Celsius in bedroom. No answer to multiple email. One star, because it is not possible give zero or less one.

Very good experience

I can't understand why people are giving negative reviews of this company?
I have had to contact them on numerous occasions, they always reply within 24hours. The price of the room is good. The whole process from start to finish was flawless. I nearly used another company due to the odd bad review of Chez Nestor, but I am pleased I did not.
I arranged a room for my son who is at Uni in France. My next two children are looking at the same and I will be using Chez Nestor each time.
Really good, would not hesitate to recommend.

Predatory company; do not use them

Chez Nestor, as other users have noted, is very expensive, and they offer poor service. The only situations they consider as emergencies are electrical and plumbing, and they will never send people on the weekends as they write on the site that they will (even when the kitchen or basement is flooding, as has happened twice during my stay).

I will say that if you are a foreign student without a guarantor they can be very helpful, but there are other companies that you can sign up for a guarantor's service and they will prevent you from falling victim to predatory companies like Chez Nestor.

My experience in my rental was as follows:

A roommate confessed their love to me and began displaying stalking behaviors towards me. I told Chez Nestor I felt unsafe in the house, and gave them examples of what he was doing to me. At the time, it was usually just us two home alone in the house of 8, because 3 people had moved out and 2 were away on business while the other 1 worked at an office and this guy would choose to work from home.

They charged me the full move out fee (€579), my deposit (€900), and my rent (€820) to leave. Total, that is €2299. That is INSANE. They knew it was a situation of abuse and they took advantage of my desperation to leave. I will share this story as many places as I need to in order to prevent this horrible thing from happening to other people. This company may not be a scam, but it's not far off.

they will screw you as much as they can

they will screw you as much as they can

quality of rooms is BAD, dirty, bad forniture which wuill broke down in no time and charged to you

if you have an issue, say with plumbing, they will send third grade technicians which will do a mess and leave;

check out rules are a joke and you will be charged unreasonable amounts

A safe choice but expensive

In terms of the customer service I received, I can't complain. The apartment and bedroom were clean and if anything went wrong, it was fixed quickly. However, for what it is, it is extremely expensive and I just discovered that I have to pay €79 just for the privilege of having my deposit returned to me, which felt like they were taking the mick, if I'm completely honest.

Wouldn’t recommend

Pros:
Good customer service
Decent bedroom

Cons:
Not good value for money
Apartment had no living space (I think only the most expensive ones do)
Could be a bit claustrophobic at times, could never really invite multiple round or make any noise past a certain hour (maybe these are problems specific to my apartment)

Would recommend something like La Carte des Colocs

Amazing service, great concept!

I have been living in a Chez Nestor apartment for a while now and I really couldn't recommend them enough. I have seen some less than great reviews but from my knowledge, the team seems to be growing a lot and really improving their quality and service. My apartment is so great, I have met some amazing people, and if I ever have any problems, the team is always there to help me. The reservation process is extremely easy, especially as I'm not French and don't have a Garantor. If you're looking to easily and quickly find accomodation, with a very friendly multilingual team, then I would definitely recommend Chez Nestor - you won't be disappointed :)

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. I used them as they spoke English and thought it would be helpful when I first moved down to France, but boy do I regret it. They sell the apartment really well but in reality it is not. They try to put the blame on you, and make you pay for everything even if it's not your fault. They take forever to help you, or fix stuff. Bad customer service to put it lightly. It's incredible. I could go on and on, but I am just going to keep it simple: I am never, ever going to rent from this agency again and I will strongly advise you from doing so as well unless you have absolutely no other choice.

Extremely expensive for barely ok service. You'll end up paying 4-6x what you should be paying with them, they will impose any and all conditions on you by charging you absurd amounts for anything that doesn't go their way.

Just an agency milking foreigners in need for as much as they can.
