Misleading - ended up worse off financially after dealing with these

Agreed for charterhouse to submit unfair lending claims on my behalf. I took out quite a few loans on maternity leave. None were deemed unfair which is fine, however one company did reduce the debt from £8k to £4.7k if i paid the full amount. I could not do that so i couldnt accept the settlement. Charterhouse deemed this a succesful claim and have since billed me £1400 + £400 recovery costs and threatened me with court action. I now have to pay them monthly and my originaly debt is unchanged and i have extra £2k debt. I have referred to financial ombudsmen.

AVOID

AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. Everything, they lie to you over the phone. They are rude and aggressive to you over the phone. They charge an additional amount of 20% onto of what ever you get and do not inform you at the point of sale or within the terms and conditions which they so call explain over the phone. They do the absolute minimum and expect you to pay for it. DO NOT FOR YOUR OWN SANITY USE THEM. They send one letter/email out. As soon as they receive any correspondence advising them that a complaint is denied that's it. There is no further action, they are done. It doesn't matter if the FCA states this or that. They are not doing anything further. All they are after is some quick cash.. They are not worth the money or time. AVOID

Can’t give 0 stars or negative stars

Absolute crooks. They not here to help you with mis sold loans or affordable issues. They just make up stuff so they can bill you hundreds of pounds for absolutely nothing. So you will be even further in debt.

Don't follow the contract, then penalise you!

Extortionate for what they actually do! Whilst they managed to get me a refund from a lender, that's where it all stopped.

Got my claim letter through, accepted & told payment would be with me in 2 weeks. 2 weeks passed & nothing came. Queried it & was told to wait again. After another 2 weeks & countless ignored phone calls & emails was finally told I need to sort payment out that's not our job. In the meantime demands came through for payment of their fee, which by their own terms becomes payable once redress is received, in my case it hadn't been.

I signed up for an end to end process with them handling everything, by the end of the process I'd done half the work for them
