I had problem with the lights for the flame and fire bed on my fire. Once the problem was reported I had a call and a visit was arranged for the next day. The engineer was very knowledgeable and sorted the problem out easily.

I have just bought one of their wood stoves, and I have been running it in. It is superb. Easy to lite and very easy to run. Heat output is fabulous and looks superb.

Worst thing I ever done was to buy a Charlton and Jenrick stove.
The stove is a mere 5mths old but you would think it 5yrs
The paint is peeling off the door, the rest of the stove is badly discoloured and there's rust at the hinges but do Charlton and Jenrick want to know, of course they don't, they've been paid and are not interested in resolving any problems.
They're response as it is to everything is oh that's not covered by warranty doesn't matter that they've sold you a substandard product and your left to live with their poorly manufactured product.
Please pay heed to this warning and avoid Charlton and jenerick like the plague because should you have any issues they won't want to know.

Viewed gas fires in a local company, and saw a couple with really excellent flame effect, especially at lower settings - both by C & J. I then spent three weeks trogging off to nearby (and not so nearby) towns viewing alternatives. I’m guessing I’ve viewed every fire available. In the end I went back where I started. The fire I fancied wouldn’t fit in my house, so I had to pick a special ‘shallow’ alternative from the same company. Trouble was, the shop didn’t have this one live, so I wasn’t sure if the flame effect would be as good. So I rang C & J and asked if they had any illustrations of this fire. They hadn’t, so they just made some special videos for me! It was just as good as the ones I’d seen running in the shop. Excellent efficiency, too!
So I bought one. It’s terrific. Bit pricey, but so what? Years after the price matters a jot it will still be looking good.
It’s not that this company is one to consider, it’s more that there aren’t really any alternatives out there when it comes to flame appearance.
I got some keen offers online, and my local guy and I had a good humoured joust and came to an amicable agreement.

We had a nine-year-old C+J Gas fire that stopped working. I contacted the company and was helped by Claire who did a great job of explaining what would happen and organising an engineer. The engineer Mark was excellent and again explained what had happened and made a great repair and made several helpful recommendations. Great customer service

It's early days yet but we liked the design of the electric fire we chose

Installation was smooth and efficient. Product worked first time and no issues to report. Exactly to the standard expected.

Having just had a multi fuel stove fitted i went on the web site to register my stove and the whole process was very easy and well laid out and within a couple of minutes i received a conformation email from them

We spent hours looking at electric fires from different companies and Charlton & Jenrick were the best we could find. Good quality and the end product looks fantastic.

Recently purchased and had fitted a Charlton and Jenrick Panache 8040 gas log fire.
What a beautiful fire. So economic compared to our old fire.

Absolutely awful company. Purchased and had a fire installed July 2021. Within a month, it was switching itself off, controller wouldn’t work properly, and tape around the outside of the door was coming apart. Contacted retailer in the first instance to be told that I needed to contact the supplier directly. Contacted Charlton and Jenrick. They sent an engineer. Not fixed. Then again. Not fixed. I’m up to visit five now, and I have been left with a fire that extinguishes when it feels like it, and a cable left hanging out of my wall! Customer service are rude, (although the engineer was lovely) and I would advise anyone thinking of purchasing a fire from Charlton and Jenrick to run a mile!!!
I will be taking the matter further as it cost a fortune for us to have a fire installed that is not fit for purpose.
