Overall - good

I have been a letting tenant with Chappells for the past 5 years. Paula was my first contact when I moved to Swindon & she was lovely. She has now been replaced with Nikki who I have found to be friendly & helpful. There were some issues when I first moved in which were all resolved within a reasonable time frame. I have had no major issues with them in the last couple of years. Overall I think they are a good estate agent.

Property Landlord

As a landlord with Chappells since Dec. 2019, I have found them to be very inefficient with basic processes not automated. I have had to request the rental payment statement each month and sometimes several times before this is received. In fact I have still not received the April, 2024 statement although this has been requested about four times and as we have now moved to a different agent I have just given up chasing this. Regular property inspections are not carried out and during the four and a half years Chappells have managed our property only one property inspection has been done. That was only because this was requested. Luckily we have a very good tenant who looks after our property but this may not be the case. The inspection reports are out-sourced and are of a very good quality. Read T & Cs carefully as the company's interpretation is not always legally enforceable. I would not recommend this Letting Agent hence we have moved to a different agent.
I would like to thank Chappells for their reply but would also like to say that all that I have said is correct but I could have said much more. From our experience the personal service you refer to falls far short of that we experience from other agents we use.

Lettings

I never, ever leave reviews on sites such as this.

But this is the modern medium to cascade what I think so..

Paula (office manager I believe) is beyond helpful. Paula - thank you!

All I had to do was sign a document for the letting.
