Disgraceful.

I have dealt with CCUSA Australia, and unfortunately cannot find somewhere to review it. So here will have to suffice.

I had a chat with one of your staff today. I had applied for the 2020 program, which obviously got cancelled. I had requested an extension on a refund as I was not sure whether I was going to be heading over or not. I received two extensions, one by email and one by phone correspondence. When I was not able to head to Canada, I requested the refund as promised. I was told that this was no longer an option and that I needed to take the rollover. So, sold a lie. This in itself was disgusting and highly unnecessary considering refunds are still being processed over a year later.

Anyway, after being screwed over by not being able to take a refund, I called CCUSA to see if I could use my credit for next year, as I am now heading over. They said sure, and to contact the camp that I initially got hired with and to explain to them that I was hired previously. Then I was told that I would need to pay an extra $250 (WTH) for the program. This is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. Not only are you not doing anything in regards to getting me placed, but you are also expecting me to pay an additional $250 to do nothing. Not to mention an updated health check and police check, which I understand is necessary for the camp but is another $170 ish. So, this is equating to over $400 to do Camp Canada this year. I am absolutely APPALLED at the shocking level of service that has been provided. I am expected to essentially organise my own job, I don't understand why you expect another $250 - the program fees are to get me a job, however I would already have one.

Not only this, but it is being told that I am not able to receive the discounted price of $650 total (only $150 extra) as I have a credit (WTH). This is absolutely outrageous that you are trying to scrounge even more money out of us. The discounted price is for paying upfront, which I have done/would do. Obviously if you're willing to offer that price for new participants who you actually have to find a job for then you shouldn't be charging participants from 2 years ago an additional $100 to do literally nothing.

I WANT MY MONEY BACK

I want to start by saying that if you are interested in carrying out a cultural exchange in the United States, CCUSA is the best alternative, a super support team, excellent communication (very important because I was in the US for the entire quarantine and I never had any inconvenience) simply the best.

I have been very fortunate to spend six summers at 3 wonderful summer camps through CCUSA. The Application process was very straightforward and the CCUSA team were always on hand to support me - particular when I required addition support at a difficult time for my family just before I was due to depart for camp. CCUSA went above and beyond at this time and with onward support throughout the summer. Being a camp counsellor and then fulfilling head staff roles has positively influenced me and I cant emphasize the benefits of working at camp enough! I fully recommend CCUSA!

CCUSA was the first camp agency that I have worked with. The whole process was very efficient and well organized. I really felt that there was nothing left to chance which made me very confident approaching my first year working at a summer camp. As for my experience at camp, I could not have asked for a better summer especially during the time of a Pandemic. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and would highly recommend CCUSA to anyone thinking about working a summer abroad.

I have used CCUSA for the past 5 summers and they could not have been more helpful and supportive through the whole process of going to America and Croatia. CCUSA made daunting tasks such as the VISA process as smooth and easy as possible. Thank you to Caity and Duncan who are always happy to help answer any questions (big or small) at all hours of the day, and a special thank you for finding me a role at Camp California in Croatia this summer which was an amazing experience. Thank you to CCUSA for giving me two places to call my second home!

Ccusa has been the sponsor, they were supporting me through the worse time like the pandemic, they really take the time to explain carefully about the steps to follow to get your visa and they really are right in all the recommendations. Thank you CCUSA, you really helped me a lot. I highly recommend it

This is now the second time I’ve used ccusa and yet again they provided me with the most amazing summer imaginable. I visited a completely new destination this year and they made my transition so smooth and simple. Ccusa have helped me gain more experience than any other agent I’ve used previously and this will definitely not be my last summer using CCUSA and their amazing team!

CCUSA mad my summer in America the best i've ever had. They were so easy and comfortable to work with and everything went smoothly. I cannot recommend them highly enough and if anyone is considering working at a summer camp they should 100% use CCUSA.

In my first year I had no idea what the process involved and how to apply correctly for something which could be very confusing if not for their guidance.

Their support and advice made the whole process very straightforward and were on hand throughout for any questions or concerns that I had.

They were also extremely helpful when at the US embassy waiting for my visa appointment with numerous members of staff on hand outside to help check our documents and ensure we were in the correct place and to talk us through the whole process before heading in.

Big thank you CCUSA for ensuring I was granted my visa each year and able to enjoy the best 4 summers of my life!!

Super Helpful!

I used CCUSA 3 out of the 4 times I went over to America on a J1 visa to work at a summer camp. Every time I had a question or was unsure about something I got a quick response with really easy steps to follow or had a straight forward answer to my questions.

There website is easy to use and shows where you are up to in the application and visa process and even has helpful checklist to ensure you have all the paperwork you need.

If you are ever thinking of going over to work on a summer camp I would highly recommend CCUSA to help you get there.

Following two years with another summer camp provider, I made the move to CCUSA. They have supported me to work at camp for 7 summers, including during the COVID 2020 summer. They have been very thorough, attentive and easy to work with, especially during the uncertainty of the pandemic. I am thankful to have made the switch to CCUSA and would highly recommend them to anyone that wants to work at camp. Their fees are some of the lowest in the field and I believe they have the highest level of customer care. Thank you CCUSA for 7 incredible summers!

I have been working with CCUSA for the last five consecutive summers. They were massively influential in getting me into America in 2016 and 2018. They’ve then offered me an opportunity to work in a Croatian summer camp and was extremely helpful with the recruitment process. I have been participating in CCUSA programs for the past five summers. My first summer, I completely stepped out of my comfort zone, and join a camp in the states, and for the next four summers I have been working in International summer camp in Europe. Through all five years CCUSA team was always very professional yet friendly, very supportive and they always made sure I have all the right informations. Summer camp is always a great idea, but knowing you have such an amazing team by yourside just adds on an unforgettable experience. I would absolutely recommend getting in touch with CCUSA office and learn more about their programs! I will definitely get in touch with them again to start planning for another amazing summer!

So I’m already sitting at home wishing I was back at camp! CCUSA made it so easy for me to be able to have the best summer of my life! It’s so hard to put into words how incredible my summer was because everything was just so phenomenal! I would recommend this to absolutely anyone, I was able to become someone I never thought I could be whilst being out there and I can’t thank them enough for that either! I have been with CCUSA for the last 4 summers and can't speak highly enough of the service they provide. I communicate with Dave and he is always at the other end of an email when I have questions or problems. The rest of the UK team are fantastic. When I had challenges obtaining my VISA for this summer in the country I was living in at the time, the team both in the UK and USA did everything they could to rectify the situation which resulted in a positive outcome and I was able to go to camp this summer despite the pandemic.
