After my first driving instructor, I had very little confidence and almost gave up on wanting to pass my driving test. That all changed when Carl became my new instructor — honestly, the best driving instructor I’ve ever had.

You don’t come across many instructors who genuinely want to help and support you to pass your test and become a safe, legal driver. Carl showed real passion for teaching and always reassured me that making mistakes is part of learning. He made it clear that he was there to guide beginners into becoming fully fledged drivers.

Carl was always professional, patient, and supportive throughout my lessons. I was genuinely shocked (and over the moon!) when I passed my test.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone more highly than Carl.

Carl was an amazing instructor. Lessons were enjoyable and felt more fun than nerve wrecking the more lessons I had.

Carl was a great laugh to learn to drive with, always made you feel comfortable while learning no matter what happens making you enjoy your lessons which makes even easier to learn.

It's rare to find driving instructors like Carl, who teach you at their own pace and will be honest at telling you when your ready to take your test, without trying to exploit you by giving you too many lessons. I felt absolutely no pressure during my driving lessons, unlike some other instructors, who force you to do manoeuvres certain ways, etc. Brilliant instructor overall

Really good driving instructor couldnt have asked for a better one- I learnt alot and passed first time thanks to Carl.

I was extremely nervous starting lessons, and I chose the right instructor. I'd heard from friends around Manchester who had terrible experiences with big companies, but with Carl having his own private school, it's his passion and something he's put a lot of time and effort into training the next set of drivers. There were moments when I'd get worked up and stressed but with Carl's patience and expertise, he coached and made me relax. Every lesson was fun and by the end of it, we always found something positive to reflect on and goals moving forward. Carl also didn't care how long I'd want to spent on something, he'd listen to my Why's and if he felt I was perfectly capable then challenge me and once I could see it was nerves he would make sure that I was happy to progress onwards. I loved driving with Carl and honestly miss being in his energy. He's knowledgeable, fun and an amazing teacher. Couldn't recommend enough and I would give 5*.

Absolutely stellar instructor! He was very informative and patient with me as a student. He was never codensending. He made each lesson feel like a true lesson without the fear, but the respect for what you were learning to do. To be completely fair I did do a few lesson with my grandfather in his own vehicle before I started learning. But within days I was on public roads and really getting ready to learn the road. And when it came to my test, I passed first time.

Overall he was very encouraging and I would highly recommend him for anyone learning for the first time or if you've been driving with others before.

I absolutely recommend Carl, he’s amazing at what he does! He’s so patient and kind, and if you don’t understand something he’ll always find a way to explain it so it makes sense to you. Every time you get in his car, he never fails to put a smile on your face.

I had my driving test on the 16th of September and passed first time I couldn’t have done it without him!🚗

Was really stressed about getting on the road and was my main goal at the time. Carl simplified it for me so to say it was a life changing service wouldn’t be an overstatement. What a funny great guy too!

Carl was my second driving instructor after things didn’t work out with my first. I was really nervous starting again with someone new and learning different techniques, but Carl instantly made me feel at ease from our very first lesson. He’s incredibly patient and explains everything so clearly, he has an analogy for everything, which honestly helped me remember things so much better and become a safer, more confident driver.

I genuinely looked forward to my lessons every week — improving my driving, having a laugh, and even having what felt like mini therapy sessions in the car! On the day of my test, I was unbelievably nervous, but Carl was so supportive. He even sent me a message that morning with a positive affirmation reminding me that I’d got this, and that day, I passed first time!

I honestly don’t think I could have done it without him. I recommend Carl to everyone, he’s completely honest and fair about your driving, a genuine and down-to-earth person, and an absolutely brilliant instructor. I cannot thank him enough.
