Can’t thank CAYP enough for their service. Especially Karen and the time she took with not just our daughter, but us as a family during the assessment process. We felt totally at ease and come away understanding more about our daughters need moving forward.
Nothing was rushed, it all felt like meaningful discussions rather than a tickbox exercise to completely understand our daughter as an individual. Nothing was too much to ask. Would highly recommend.

CAYP Psychology were friendly and our son's assessment took place in a convenient location for us. However, they seem to have had too much work/not enough people to cope with staff illness over the winter months as it took 6 weeks and several reminders to get the draft report. There were several spelling mistakes in the first draft and it then took another six weeks to get the final report.

We were quite hesitant about the idea of a private ASD / ADHD assessment but, as the NHS wait is so long, we ‘bit the bullet’ and went for CAYP following personal recommendations. We were not disappointed and would absolutely use them again if the need arose. Karen Tinsley made the whole process effortless and easy to understand; she was friendly, supportive and approachable, and we were always kept up to date with what was happening and the next stage of the assessment. The final report was detailed, comprehensive and provided us with exactly what we needed to move forward and understand our son’s diagnosis. Thank you.

Hannah Riley was just what we needed. Our early teenage son was having difficulty with OCD and her approach was absolutely what he needed. She knows how to work well with children engaging them, making them smile again and really 'got' him. She knew how to approach her work and was adaptable to our son's needs knowing what he needed and when. She had good practical ideas to move things forwards and was there to help and support. At a time that was extremely difficult she gave us hope and I will forever be grateful. It was luck we found her but we would whole heartedly recommend.
Can not recommend CAYP enough. Laura Surley was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Explained every aspect of the assessment in detail so we knew what to expect. My son was made to feel at ease throughout. At the end of the assessment's we received a very comprehensive final report. Thank you so much for all the support we received throughout this whole process.

This is our second time using CAYP- this time it was for an autism assessment for our daughter. We’ve always noticed her little “quirks,” but since she’s super academic, school never really picked up on them. This year, though, she really started to struggle, and we didn’t want to wait 2-3 years for the NHS assessment, so we turned to CAYP. The whole process only took about 6 weeks! Jenni and Heidi were so nice and kept us all relaxed the entire time. The report is really detailed, and we got a diagnosis that we hope will help home , school, and Ivy understand her needs better and move forward positively.

After receiving a fantastic service from CAYP for my son when he was assessed for ASD and ADHD with Jade Wilson, I then went on to book a Cognitive Assessment with Barbara Di Benedetto. Again, I can't recommend CAYP highly enough! Barbara was fantastic with my son, putting him at ease straight away, and she has provided me with all the information I need to help me understand how to further support my son going forward. Thank you Barbara and Jade and CAYP!

From start to finish our experience with CAYP was outstanding. Their AI Bot was extremely useful and was able to provide a good response to our initial questions. This was followed up by real people who were quick to reply to our enquiries. We had several psychologists to choose from but decided to go with Karen Tinsley as she was local to us but also had the relevant expertise. Throughout the whole process Karen took the time to get to know us, our family, our concerns and our needs. At no point did we ever feel rushed or like we were not getting her full attention. Karen would always do her best to work to our schedules and regularly made herself available evenings and weekends as it was easier for us to manage. She was amazing when she met our son and clearly has a great depth of knowledge when dealing with young people. Following the diagnosis Karen made it clear that we could still contact her should we have any further questions or require any further support. We would not hesitate to recommend the service provided by CAYP, but especially Karen Tinsley. Thank you Karen!

I’m an independent mental health professional and I would recommend CAYP. They are worth the money - I was concerned about the cost but CAYP are very competitive. This is an investment in your young person and I’m glad I did it with CAYP because it’s both a business and a person centred service. There is enough administration team behind the scenes to be efficient and available for questions. Meanwhile our experience with the professionals- in our case Dr Jane Emerson and her Supervisor, exceeded our expectations. She gave real value for money; responsive and available in-between appointments whilst also reassuring and gentle with my daughter. She is professionally thorough, sharp, reflective and genuinely curious. She really knows her stuff and went out of her way to help us understand, develop strategies, refine the report and name the very specific strengths and challenges for my daughter. I am forever grateful for the confidence this has given my daughter to understand herself better.

Found CAYP when looking for an ADHD assessment for 12 year old. After waiting 6 months with NHS Right to Choose, we found out that it would be at least a 2 year wait altogether. Whole process with CAYP took two months from initial contact to screening to assessment to final report. Dr Sara Northey was wonderful. Friendly and professional, made my child and us as a family feel very comfortable and informed at each step. The diagnosis and report is very clear and detailed. We’re really grateful to have been able to work with Sara.
Also must comment on the excellent value for money compared with other services we explored.
Thank you

Where to start, we went to cayp psychology for our 10 year old son, for a adhd assessment. Sophia was absolutely amazing from our first communication, nothing was to much for her and she kept us in the loop on every step and everything was explained so clear. I was so nervous about the whole process but from the first time I spoke to Sophia she made me feel at ease and so comfortable I can't thank her enough for all she has done for my son and my family. I would absolutely recommend cayp psychology the process is so quick and they are just fantastic. We now have the diagnosis we need to help our son and its all thanks to Sophia.

We went to Karen at CAYP psychology because we wanted to get our daughter assessed before high school, Karen went above and beyond and kept me in the loop at all stages of the assessment. We now have the answers our girl deserves and feel confident that she will get the support she needs.

Absolutely fantastic at what they do! I recently had the pleasure of working with Anna and Zoe for my son who was recommended by school to have an ADHD assessment. Our local waiting list on the nhs is around 2 years so I did a little research and found CAYP and I’m so pleased I did. Anna was available by email any time throughout and the whole process was made so easy, appointments were made really quickly and it was wrapped up and done in a matter of weeks. The report I received on completion was very detailed and contained everything I may need going forward. Also a little thank you to Lauren who very quickly resolved some issues we had with school, nothing is too much trouble for the staff at CAYP. I’m so grateful for the care and expertise shown towards my son and would recommend this clinic to anyone.

Anna and Zoe were so knowledgeable, they explained every part of the assessment to us and our daughter and made her feel at ease. They provided advice and guidance throughout the process. Only carrying out an assessment where the evidence suggested it was required. The report was really thorough with lots of useful recommendations. I highly recommend them.

Tania, has been fantastic from the start of the process right through to the final report.
Tania called me and talked through the process. We had the assessments and she made my daughter feel so comfortable which was so important for me. Her advice and support afterwards was equally helpful and I feel she went above and beyond to support myself and my daughter in the process. I would highly recommend.

Molly was kind, friendly, approachable and connected well with my son. We approached CAYP to help our son with time management and deal with procrastination. Molly was quick at recognising this and advised he would not need any complex intervention or long term consultations. After 3 sessions, she happily discharged him which we appreciate as she did not unnecessarily prolong the process.
Overall we are satisfied with the service but in our opinion, CAYP is more suited for individuals with higher needs and moderate to severe issues. But we could be wrong.
I have given 4 stars because- we felt the value for money was less than what we expected, also for £170/ hour we would expect a formal written feedback at the end of every session (but CAYP don’t do that), Molly did provide a verbal feedback in the last few minutes of the session, but we had to chase and send some reminders for the action plan chart that was prepared during the session.

Angels work here!! This service is outstanding. Not only do they come with fantastic review from our SEND community, but more recently I had the pleasure to work alongside Dan and his team to support a child who desperately needed someone on her team. Dan created a specified report following an extensive assessment process. Thank you for everything you do for the children in our community.
