UFO Con San Francisco


A lot of heart goes into organizing this small Con on the Bay. With a 2026 attendance of about 90, it’s darn little. I wanted to love it but the fear-and-paranoia conspiracy elements were not my thing.

Some of the speakers at UFO Con 2026 shared fear-based conspiracy theories that were only loosely connected to UFOs. I was dismayed when a speaker warned us about government mind control via microchips administered by vaccine, I couldn’t believe that after the presentation the same presenter was selling a tincture that’s supposed to resist the mind control.

There were a few interesting speakers I did enjoy a lot. I met some nice people and got some cool swag from the vendor tables. They did a great job of including local artists, crafters, authors, and a psychic even though it was a small event. The organizer is a sweetheart. I just think it’s irresponsible to give the stage to low-vibe paranoia mongering.
