I had an extremely disappointing experience with Cashfloat. The cost of borrowing is eye-watering and feels completely disproportionate to the amount borrowed.
For example, borrowing £700 over 6 months resulted in a total repayment of £1,179.05. That’s nearly £500 in interest for a short-term loan. The repayment structure is also confusing and uneven: the first payment is £168.45, followed by four monthly payments of £224.60, and then a final payment of £112.20. There’s no clear justification for why repayments fluctuate so much, which makes budgeting harder.
What’s most alarming is the interest. The fixed annual interest rate is 185.39%, with a representative APR of 611.74%. Cashfloat openly states their loans can range from 295.58% APR up to a staggering 1294% APR, which is shockingly high by any standard.
This kind of pricing feels predatory and targets people who may already be in financial difficulty. While the loan may be quick to obtain, the long-term cost is brutal and not worth it. I would strongly advise anyone considering Cashfloat to explore safer, more affordable alternatives first.

All of our rates and repayment schedules are clearly displayed before a customer accepts their agreement, so each applicant can review the total repayment amount and decide whether the short term loan is suitable for their circumstances.
In relation to the repayment structure, our optional Easy Start feature is designed to make the first and last repayments lower, giving customers more time to get back on their feet financially. There is no additional interest charged for this and the total amount repayable remains the same. Customers can choose to switch this feature off during the application process if they prefer equal instalments.
Repayments are outlined in full within the loan agreement before acceptance. There are no hidden fees, and we do not charge any upfront costs.
Payday loans are designed strictly for short term or emergency use and may not be suitable for everyone. We always encourage customers to carefully consider their options before proceeding.

Not a company I would do business with…
Not a company I would do business with again even if they were offering loans at 0.1%. After multiple issues with emails not getting through together with staff who are polite enough to talk to, yet don't appear to action the simple requests, they create what I see as a perfect storm of chaos and incompetence. Not a good company.

Had 2 loans out with them paid both…
Had 2 loans out with them paid both back on time but declined 3rd time though my score is now higher and finances are better emailed and got no response and never had this before with them always paid and never late left a great feedback before as they were great and never judged but somethings changed over the 7 months

Things were tight just after Christmas and being paid monthly is a struggle in times like that . Luckily I found Cashfloat and their help was much appreciated. The application was straightforward and dealt with very efficiently.
