I have only tried the Rapid Cut 4000…
I have only tried the Rapid Cut 4000 once thus far and on fairly hard German clearcoat and it seems to cut fairly well, but not as well as the Heavy Cut 3000. Although the low dusting of the 4000 is welcome as the 3000 creates a hell of a lot of compound dust. The 4000 seems to me anyway, to smell a little bit like an old school toilet cleaner, so if you’re wearing a mask when correcting paint, then it won’t bother you too much. Lastly and although I do need to try it a few times to potentially find its sweet spot, but I had noticed on the first try that although the gloss levels are supposed to be high, it still micro marred a little and needed a finishing polish to restore the true gloss. Time will tell if it’s truly a great product, opposed to just a good one.
