Very strong chemical smell
Very strong chemical smell. Had to leave the rug outdoors for several days and then try to vacuum thoroughly AND then try the baking soda cleaning tip. The rug still smells. Same experience as the last time I bought a Kelim rug on the internet, unfortunately. So this time will be the last. But the carpet looks ok, as expected.

We would like to explain that wool naturally contains lanolin, a natural wax that can sometimes produce a distinctive smell. This scent can become more noticeable during storage or when exposed to higher temperatures. It is harmless and tends to fade over time, particularly with good air circulation.
However, we completely understand that a persistent smell can be very frustrating, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Please note that you purchased two Patina carpets, which are refurbished older carpets as you're probably aware, so its condition and appearance can naturally differ from those of a newly produced carpet.
All older carpets that arrive at our warehouse are carefully inspected and cleaned when needed before being shipped to our customers.
I can't see that you have been in contact with our customer service regarding this, but if you have any concerns about the condition of your carpet, you are of course very welcome to contact us. We will be happy to help you find a suitable way forward.

The carpet is beautiful
The carpet is beautiful and it is matching the description.
The only problem was that it was delivered in a gas station without any other option. They delivery companysent a message saying they tried to deliver at my apartment which is a lie because I was at home and there was no call, ringing, or SMS. The carpet is pretty heavy so it should had been delivered at my address.
