Avoid Carlinklife At All costs. They are not a reliable company

They claimed that they needed 2 weeks to build a "custom" unit to fit my specific automobile, and would send me a tracking number when the order shipped. After 2 weeks had passed and no tracking number had been provided, I emailed asking for the tracking number. In response, I was told that the order had shipped the day before, (Friday), and that they would provide me with the tracking number on Monday, "once the system had updated". The following Tuesday, after I still had not received the tracking number I emailed asking for it again. They then provided me a China Post tracking number, which indicated that the shipping ticket had been created, but the item had not actually been shipped. They then failed to respond to 2 followup emails. Then all of a sudden, without any explanation whatsoever, I received a notification that a refund had been issued. I spoke with "Customer Service" via website chat, and was told

"Hi! We are reaching out regarding your order. Our records show that the shipping carrier has returned the package to us. We are currently unsure if this was caused by an issue with the shipping address or the recipient information. To ensure the security of your transaction and your funds, we have issued a full refund to your account. You should also receive a refund notification email in your inbox shortly."

This is complete nonsense, both because the tracking system clearly indicated that they carrier never received the package, and of course, any reliable company would have promptly contacted their buyer to clarify any address issues had they occurred, not just cancelled the order without any notification or explanation, particularly when they had supposedly built a custom unit, which presumably they would not be able to sell elsewhere. When I pointed this out, the agent stopped responding in the chat window. This is clearly not a reliable company, and I should strongly recommend that any would be buyers go elsewhere. I have no way of knowing if they have actually given me a refund or not, but given my experience, I am immediately instructing my credit card company to charge back the full purchase amount.

I was asking their chat box for details…

I was asking their chat box for details on my order and they were not responding. when i asked "are you there?" "hello?" there responses was "? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?" then after asking to cancel my order and a refund, their response was "F*&k u!bbb"

Do not buy from this website

I recently purchased a car module from this seller whose website listed a recommended installation shop in my area. Unfortunately, the shop had never heard of the seller, which was a red flag from the start. During the first installation, the module caused my car’s screen to flicker. The seller suggested changing the dip switch to a configuration not mentioned in the instructions, which I did for a second installation. This time, the screen went completely black. Obviously, the device is defective.

The seller offered to send a new video cable, but each visit to the shop incurred labor costs, and they refused to cover these expenses. There was no guarantee that the video cable was the issue.

I had to open a support case with PayPal, which refunded the full price of the module, but I was left with $210 in labor charges and the $96.40 return shipping cost to China. Overall, a frustrating experience with no resolution for the additional expenses.
