They have charged me twice and have not returned my deposit. Despite months of emails and phone exchanges still no response.
The collection department claims they can not do anything and once I was promised to have it returned but it that was over 2 months ago now.

Total thieves and scammers

Carlease company has been cheating its customer since many years . In my case they have used my credit card information to charge me twice the rent amount and once I reported this to the owner name Aswani , he has refused to refund my money despite the fact that using someone credit card is a criminal offense . In fact this company is running its business based on such frauds wherein they charge to the customer without the consent of the customer and even do not give back the deposit amount after returning the car . In my case there is total AED 1500 deposit + 2200 double charge amount ( Total AED 3700 ) is yet not paid despite my regular follow up with company . I have filed a complaint with DED and I am now filing a criminal offense complaint in police as well . Please refrain to use this company for car rental .

Just the same as everyone else on here, they would not return my deposit. I handed back the car on the 9th July 2018 and have rang them every week and used the 'deposit tracker' service numerous times. It is now October. Often they would say it was 'in process' or the line would get cut off, hmmmm. I contacted the police but they didn't reply so I used the DED consumer rights website and rang 600 545 5555. Within a week my deposit has been returned. Don't let them get away with it.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! You will not have your deposit returned. Even after the contractual 20 days post handing the vehicle back you will be made to chase and chase any refund.

The company will also not allow you to speak to the deposit tracker team directly by phone. Instead you will be left with having to wait for call backs - which never come and emails which are never replied to.

Totally unprofessional and a terrible experience. Avoid this company and go with a more reliable company such as Hertz.ae

Have been following up for 2 months with unanswered emails, when I threatened to go to the police they assured me my payment would be in my account, it has been a few weeks now and still nothing.

Like everyone else here, I have been chasing my deposit of 1500aed for 2 months now. They avoid calls and emails as much as they can. I called them every single day to keep pushing them but the staff are so unhelpful. Eventually I had enough so I contacted Dubai Police, CID department. When I informed Carlease that I had gone to the police, they refunded my money the next day. It is absolutely disgusting behaviour from them but I urge you all to contact the police and inform Carlease as this will make the process quicker. I will never be using these scam artists again!

I really wish I had seen these reviews before and I would have never dealt with this company!! Most incompetent people working for the company, worst customer service encountered, pointless lame promises and yet no response received. I have been following up on my deposit return for over 2 weeks now, and they fail to revert. I picked them up from entertainer (although I could not use the app to avail a service and had to rent the car on a normal rental basis). Never dealing with them again and will make sure to spread the word-of-mouth much as possible.

WARNING do not do business with this company. They will take a 2000 AED security deposit from you and NOT refund it despite telling you over and over that it is "under process". Complete scammers. Company has confirmed we are due a refund yet we have been waiting months while it is under process. Beware!

We hired two cars from this Company on 9th April and have still not had my deposits returned now 22 May. We have email them (they don't reply) and called them several times but just excuses. I was promised it would be returned on 15th May but still nothing and have now incurred interest on my credit card of 279 dirhams because of this Company. Avoid them the service is terrible and I cannot believe they are allowed to trade like this. PLEASE REFUND MY DEPOSIT !!!

It’s been over 100 days since I returned the car, and till today I haven’t received my deposit yet, although the terms mentions that it will be returned in 20 working days. I’ve sent several emails and reminders but unfortunately didn’t get any kind feedback, just ignorance. Even my consecutive phone calls and follow ups failed to get me any kind of feedback or update on the status. I got fed up with promises that the concerned team is currently busy and will call me back shortly.

If you don’t have an extra 1500 AED to give away. I highly recommend avoid dealing with this company. Just stay away with peace of mind…

Terrible service once you return one of their cars. They have had my (£300/$400) deposit plus my remaining car rental payment for 3 months and counting.

I have had to constantly chase this company every week to find out what is going on and get progress updates, however I am still out of pocket.

Will definitely select an alternative car rental company if I ever find myself in Dubai again.
Would not recommend.
