During my private workshop today I learnt so much about techniques, use of colours and spacing. Carla's calm nature created a feeling of tranquility and her encouraging way makes her an excellent tutor, I would thoroughly recommend this workshop.

As a complete beginner, I had no expectations of the art I would produce. But with Carla’s thoughtful guidance, my friends and I not only enjoyed the experience but felt so encouraged by Carla and the paintings we created that we are all inspired to continue independently. I really enjoyed the workshop at Hare Hill Barn, Cartmel. Carla is such a lovely person. Approachable, offering lots of encouragement and happy to share her skills with the participants. The time went so quickly and I would definitely recommend her workshops to anyone wanting to try watercolour painting.

Such a fabulous afternoon watercolour workshop with Carla. Her beautiful studio with soft background music was so calming. Myself and two friends spent the afternoon making Christmas cards under Carla’s expert guidance. It was such a treat and would recommend it 100%.

It was like a breath of fresh air! We both absolutely loved the afternoon. Carlas expertise, together with her beautiful persona , taught us so much in just a couple of hours.

My daughter gave me a surprise birthday present- an afternoon painting with watercolours. It was so lovely to learn new techniques under the guidance of Carla who is very warm and encouraging. We came away with some really nice pictures and I framed them straight away. They look beautiful .. and above all.. I had time spent with m lovely daughter, including a piece of cake.

I attended Carla’s watercolour workshop at the weekend with my daughter. It was a Christmas gift.
We both enjoyed Carla’s gentle, encouraging teaching style, demonstrating and explaining brush and paint techniques. The morning flew by and we couldn’t believe the gorgeous paintings we managed to produce with her guidance.

What a lovely relaxing and mindful way to spend a morning! Carla has a great natural teaching style and her mum was also really hands on and helpful!
I’d gone as a beginner and had no idea what to expect but absolutely loved the session and would definitely recommend it. Carla is very encouraging and positive and the time flew by.

I had a wonderful 1st watercolour workshop at Beetham Nurseries with Carla and her lovely mother this week.

I felt very welcome from the moment I stepped into the marquee which is a huge plus for me as I attended on my own

The class was fantastic, learned more than I would have expected in 3 hours

Carla is so lovely and calm natured! She is so positive with feedback and finds something lovely to say and then ever so gently suggests something you could try to improve what you have created. We absolutely loved our morning painting! Carla created such a calm and pleasant environment to paint in that it felt more like you were having a morning round at a friends doing something you all enjoy. She gave clear instruction and plenty of time to paint. I have definitely developed my watercolour painting from the session. Thank you so much!

Delightful workshop - I booked the watercolour workshop as a gift experience. Carla was great, the workshop was really enjoyable and the studio which is where the workshop takes place is beautiful!
