Oh my what horrendous treatment my 77…
Oh my what horrendous treatment my 77 year old mother is experiencing, a car hit her back in February, we have a video of the incident, she had been pushed from pillar to post all this time, she pays Halifax for the insurance but it’s underwritten by LV? The car was written off and taken away weeks ago. she excepted an agreed sum for the car , so she used a credit card to pay a deposit for a used car with the intention to pay the card once she received the insurance money as she needs the car for hospital appointments . She was directed to the total rite off department and marshmallow, I think this is the other parties insurance provider who has no clue on what’s going on,This has been truly horrific for her, this is still unresolved and causing her so much stress at her age it’s the last thing she needs. She has asked for this to be escalated to no avail, please be careful when purchasing Halifax insurance, I have banked with Halifax for over 20 years I have my car and home insurance with them and I will 100% never use them again nor any of my family who are switching to an other banking company’s.
I had an non fault claim 9 months ago…
I had an non fault claim 9 months ago and they still don't give me bck my NCB even the underwriter sent many emails to them to confirm it was an no fault claim andthey allow my NCB but Halifax it ignore. Once a customer service confirm I can have my NCB back after my policy end but eventually they gave me zero NCB and another from customer service told me whatever the other said before it was irrelevant, just told me to ignore it. Never ever to use this company again! Never ever use this company again! Never ever use this company again!!!
How many people are involved in Halifax…
How many people are involved in Halifax car insurance?? You get passed from claims advisor to the actual insurer( I think it’s hard to tell)
Someone correctly claiming against me but are being told I wasn’t insured when I was and can prove it.
All a real mess.
Awful experience - Dont ever use
If I had read the review here previously, I wouldn't have used Halifax online car insurance. My premium went from £50 to £114 because they assumed that I made a claim which I didn't. When they eventually discovered that it was a non-fault incident after about 5 calls in almost 1 month, they wanted to change the premium to £93 and could reverse back to my usual premium. I requested to cancel the policy that would still change me extra £35 before I could cancel. Awful experience, Unprofessional and unhelpful consumer service
Poor start to policy
Found out that previous insurance company had logged an incorrect claim against me on the database. They’ve told me that it most likely won’t be updated until after the deadline given by Halifax, called them to try and get deadline extended but they couldn’t do it so now my options are cancel my insurance or pay £100’s more with no guarantee that it will go back down once CUE update. No help at all for an issue that’s not my fault and I’m trying to rectify, really hope I don’t have to contact them again while insured by them.
Never get any products with these
Months of waiting
These ain’t with the call they never do a thing
Wait? Oh yes they do they pass the buck to some other company.
What’s wrong Halifax to scarred to call me.
Sending me no letters as requested
Some one sent a email telling me basically look at my last email from when last year?
These ain’t and never will be interested at all they give out wrong information and lie,s about not saying things.
What company puts on a claim car stolen
These do and you know what it was my keys.
My car was sat outside my house.
So have I been paying for 2.5 years of insurance that was for something different??
Will I know ?? NO why because to them it’s my fault that they made a mistake no you need to look at this and stop sending out stupid tex messages or I’ll drive to your head office and I’ll do this think called protest how you treat people and get away with it I will never know.
Finally
If you wanna go to court fine I’ll be there not my mistake just admit it that it’s wrong but your staff won’t
100% increase to my car insurance despite no claims!
Having been a loyal customer of Halifax for 25years, I’m disgusted with the recent car insurance quote and auto renewal they tried to sting me with. Last years car insurance cost me £348, which I thought was on the steep side having never made a claim and have been driving over 20years.
I received an email from Halifax last week, informing me they were making life easy and auto renewing my car insurance, however it would be at the new price of £690!!!!!! Nearly a 100% increase! I made no claims last year nor have I ever, I’ve had several mortgages, a car loan, home insurance, car insurance and bank accounts with Halifax over the years, and for all your loyalty that’s the way you get treated.
Awful experience
Awful experience! Got a new car told me my current insurer wouldn't cover me for the new car so meant I had to cancel my policy and get a new one and have had to pay £120 to do so!! This was NEVER explained to me when I asked in advance how much it would cost to cancel. Also got a £40 broker fee which can't be explained! AVOID!
If it had choice to give no stars I…
If it had choice to give no stars I most certainly would! I used to be a in house debt recovery manager for Halifax few years back now so I have a good idea of how call centres and call logging etc goes. What complaints procedure is . What the structure regulations are risk wise !
That's why I know for a fact me trying to report my cars went on fire have CCTV footage of it that I'm now on day 3 trying to report it that iv spent 7hours over 3 days being passed from halifax to there absolute weapons that they have working for them as under writers . They transfer you to closed lines out of hours you then get told underwriters dont have a claim but I have a Halifax claim reference number. They have took the utter P out me for hours . I asked to speak to a manager and 5 times 5 different people without breathing first answer no sorry none available ...... I know the call models I took a big part in them when it merged to Lloyd's so dont dare tell me none available or they dont take calls they dont even have names or an email. ??? So I politely said I'll hold for one to be call cut!! Not once lots times. Not once have I sworn or even raised my voice I have now a tally of 18 people I have spoken too . Last one last night was the best yet . Call back Monday at its 5.20pm our lines close 5.30???? All calls recorded legally and I'm wanting full call transcripts and if anyone can point me in the right direction to log my car and have its dealt with as I 1 have no car and 2 . If the shoe was on the other foot and I never made a report you be damn sure Halifax would weedle there way out of it. And be the first to say I breached something!! Treating customers fairly your in breach of your own terms and conditions . from the other reviews would appear your staff are severely obnoxious and rude to others also not just me . If any my staff call cut they would be put the door. Its a major risk to the business .Disgraceful behaviour and needs to be put over to the risk manager who risk assess these employees or call monitors ? Noone clearly!so that's Leaves you wide open as financially the business will take a massive hit seeing as so many breaches which YOU will now need to compensate for. The racial reference also because of my accent I'm scottish so hardly like I'm from another planet . ALL can all be heard on the calls you pull. !!! Infuriates me as some might just not be able to cope with that kind of treatment especially after traumatic time with the fire . So fix it Halifax!!!
Awful customer service regarding…
Awful customer service regarding renewing my car insurance. I have been a loyal customer for many years.I had to call and make some changes so they increased the premium ,no discussion or customer care. Now I have removed from renewing my car insurance. I wouldn't want to stay with a company that treats customers this way.
Halifax's false accusation of customer deceit
I Used USwitch to buy my car insurance with Halifax and answered all questions absolutely truthfully. I had a previous accident which I recorded but there was no option to declare it as my fault.
Halifax contacted me after purchasing the insurance to say that I had made a false representation in my application by not saying it was my fault and that they would;
1. Charge me an additional £337
2. Record on the industry claims website that I had made a false claim.
I then tried via the Web chat and successive emails to explain that the discrepancy was due to the limitations of USwitch's software and that I had not misrepresented my accident.
Now I am finding it impossible to find a Halifax operative who will actually deal with this issue and my subsequent complaint. No-one calls to resolve the issue. They rely on faceless emails.
Emails take days for a response and always by different people. No record of my Webchat has been provided despite requests and their threat of recording a fraudulent claim still hangs over me which will obviously be damaging for years to come.
Another appalling example of a large company whose poor business practice directly works against their customers.
Loyal customer but won’t return
After years of being with Halifax and a loyal customer - Auto renewal 25/01/24 cancelled 21/02/24 was charged 1mth fee £25 and £96 on top to cancel total £121 for less than a month’s cover.
Was told £40 admin fee to send online correspondence and to communicate via phone. Will never have my customer again.
App not working properly refused…
App not working properly refused payment Told to ring Halifax
Rang next day price went nearly 50%overnight
Found another company still in pocket after cancelling
Do not be ripped off by this company greed
Car insurance provider refusing to insure a new car
I have used HALIFAX CAR INSURANCE for years and I’m also banking customer. However, I decided to change my car a very normal car. Nothing expensive so when I asked to change my car insurance over I was told that they couldn’t do it as they wouldn’t insure that car, so I was given an option to take out another policy which was £150 more than the current policy I had or cancel the policy. In the end I had to Cancel the policy the information I’ve been given by an employee the day before was totally incorrect and I ended up paying £80 for the pleasure of cancelling my own policy just because a car insurance company wouldn’t insure a car. As I paid annually I also have to wait 8 days for my own money to be refunded
It’s getting beyond a joke as CAR INSURANCE people now it’s just all profit and money making and ripping people off
Would never choose Halifax insurance…
Would never choose Halifax insurance again, my car was an MOT fail and not worth fixing, I bought a little run around and tried to change my insurance, Halifax wouldn’t simply change my policy to the new, cheaper car and insisted on a new full year policy at double the price of my original policy! I couldn’t pay that amount so asked to leave but they charged me almost £100 to leave mid policy even though that wasn’t really my choice! The only positive part of the company were the two customer service reps on the calls who were lovely but their hands were tied by the crooks that run the company. So far I’ve managed to dissuade 2 colleagues, a friend and a family member from purchasing Halifax insurance as it was one of their lowest quotes, this company don’t care at all about the customer, they will take you for extra cash at every opportunity, do not be fooled by low quotes!
Appalling Customer Service
Appalling Customer Service, Appalling Call Waiting Times & Appalling Prices id rather have have Syphilis than ever buy Car Insurance from them again !!
Simply worst ever car insurance!
Simply worst ever car insurance!
Don't even bother!
Halifax deducting money from my Bank Account!!
I paid my Halifax car insurance back in November. They have now (December) written to say they are deducting a further £32.78 from my bank account because they say "we have been recently notified of an update to claim dated 10/07/2023."
Yes, I rang them up in July as someone had bashed my wing mirror but I decided NOT to make a claim on my insurance.
I spent ages on the phone last week to Halifax trying to find out why I have been charged for "an update" to a claim I didn't make. After being transferred within Halifax I was then transferred to their underwriter Covea. Covea informed me I needed to ring them back after the New Year break.
This I did today, only to be told I need to speak to Halifax! The man at Covea tried to ring Halifax for me but after approx. 20 minutes he gave up as no one answered their phone.
I'm now contacting the Financial Conduct Authority. Trying to get any sense out of Halifax is a waste of time.
They renew the policy with nearly …
They renew the policy with nearly double price without proper contact first
They put my quote up by 50%
They put my quote up by 50% despite no change in my circumstances. A small increase I wouldn't have bothered about, but I thought that was downright greedy. Quickly found numerous significantly cheaper quotes elsewhere. Always shop around!
