I would rather give Care.com 4.2 stars, I only knocked off a star because:
1. The customer service is hard to access.
2. I paid for an enhanced background check and it hasn't shown up on my profile.
3. The app doesn't always format well on my phone.
That being said I've found most of my clients from this app. It does work well and I've been using it for years. The jobs that work best for me show up on the search list, updated hourly. I like the way each job is dated by hours posted. The search by zip code is especially useful, and helps me search areas accessible by the expressway and other routes quickly. The service this app provides is worth the money.

I've decided that care.com is a total waste of money. None of the caregivers actually respond. After 3 months, I'v spent $120 with nothing to show for it. I canceled my subscription.

I recently completed my background check through Care.com, and I’m grateful for the thorough and professional process. While it required some patience, I truly appreciate the level of detail and care taken to ensure safety and trust for both caregivers and families.
As a dedicated healthcare professional with hands-on nursing experience, I take great pride in providing compassionate, dependable, and high-quality care. Being approved allows me the opportunity to extend my services beyond my immediate area and support families wherever I’m needed.
I look forward to building meaningful connections and delivering care with excellence, integrity, and a genuine heart for those I serve.

Scam service. No trial just harassment and false hope. Businesses like this aren't businesses they are cash cows. No refund 60 bucks to get nowhere and its been 12 hours since I purchased. Smh

I cannot recommend enough to use a different service for housecleaning. This company could care less about the customer. All they care about is filling their pockets with your money; even when you tell them you made an error in registering. I personally have no intention of using their service but somehow I ended up signing up; an error, a mistake. This company should be called Uncare.com, wecouldgiveashit.com, or maybe screw you.com
I went on their site to look for assistance in cleaning my house due to severe illness. I very innocently ended up signing up for an account, not realizing I was signing up for an account. Additionally, the site showed $18.77 for the quarterly charge but when my card was processed the charged triple that amount. The site was not clear on that at all. I called them within 5 minutes after realizing the mistake i.made. They refused to cancel the transaction stating that they would cancel the subscription for the future but not the transaction. I had not used their services, I called in a reasonable time but they refused. They are complete idiots to run that business that way. There is not a caring,, compassion, understanding or reasonable company of people; They just want to keep the money. I already disputed charges. But, the transaction is pending and all they have to do is cancel it! Will they do that; No, they are a ripoff company with rip off management. I'm not paying regardless! These people are crooks and thieves that could care less about your financial situation or needs. I believe that what they do is called "stealing/theft! Pass this one by! Save your money and time.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I asked specially if there were users in my area because my business is in a small town. I was lied too and told yes. I filled out our profile exactly as they asked with photos and reviews. We did not get one lead. Then they refused to let us cancel! Don't waste your money!

I’ve had a wonderful experience using Care.com over the years. As a caregiver, nanny, and tutor, this platform has consistently helped me find meaningful, reliable work with families who truly value what I do. The app is easy to use, and I especially appreciate the built-in background check features, which help create a sense of trust and safety for both caregivers and families.
I’m genuinely grateful for how seamless the process has been—from creating a profile to connecting with opportunities. Care.com has been a dependable resource throughout different stages of my career, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for flexible, fulfilling work in caregiving or tutoring.

My parents have been dead since 2021 and I haven’t used the service and cancelled back then and again recently. My credit card got billed after all these years and I don’t use this business. No person to answer calls, hard to get a hold of anyone to get this charge reversed. My credit card company saw it was unusual after years!

It advertised 9.99 to try out one month. I chose that option and it charged 119.00 for the year. I called and they offered to refund me $80. Seems like a scam to me. Tricky tricky people

I signed up with care.com to find a care giver for my Mom they charged me $39.99 on 1/29/26 .
I was then charged $15.00 on 1/29/26 .
I received my credit card statement showing that I was charged $54.99 on 2/28/26 . I did not authorize this charge nor was I aware of it . I did not sign up for a subscription .
I was charged $54.99 again on 3/27/26 . I called care.com after holding for over 10 mins I spoke with a rep with a accent she hung up on me without assisting me I called back and held again for over ten mins .
I was told by someone who doesn’t speak English well that they could not locate my account by the email provided or my phone number I told them that’s the email I used when I set up my account . I was told again they cannot locate my account or assist with my refund request due to this I told them refund my money immediately ! care.com steals from you once you do business with them once I let them know to cancel any subscription that care.com claims I have . I will call my credit card company and request a refund because I did not authorize them to debit my credit card twice . I asked for both charges to be refunded I was told they can only refund one . I called my credit card company to ini-ate a dispute . I requested the CEO’s email only to be told by Kimberly S that she did not have a email for him . I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told none is available and one would call me in 24-48 hours . I told Kimberly this was unacceptable she let me know that she could only offer me a call back . Companies who steal from consumers under the pretense of the consumers having a subscription should be shut down they are stealing from each customer . If the customer doesn’t catch it they succeed with fraud and theft ! Buyers beware DO NOT DO BUSINESS with Care.com they are shady and steal from consumers !!!!!!!!

Unreliable, many no-shows.
The childcare / babysitters we have had through care.com were all decent.
However, the major issue is planning reliability. They just don't show up, cancel late night before or on the day.
Just today, we had care scheduled for our child at 8:30am. I called care.com to confirm at 7:00am and they told me everything is fine. 8:30am rolls around no body shows. I call again, care is cancelled. They are working on a replacement. 10:00am, wasted 20mins on the phone with them, no caregiver available...
This is the 10th time or so this has happened to us. I'm only retrying because it's a corporate benefit..

My experience with care.com has been great. I like that I can connect with the potential clients in my area that are the best fit for my skills and schedule. It helps me avoid wasting time applying for jobs outside my wheelhouse. I also like that I can modify my outreach message to each client so I can speak to the needs they mention in their post and highlight my relevant experience. I booked my first organizing gig through care.com and am regularly booked for return tasks by the same client (one of my favorites!).

Signed up for it and got a large amount of applicants but 90% are just generic applications that are just copy and pastes. My ad was for a nanny supporting a one year. Most of the applications were either babysitters, home managers or had experience with a different age group.
