I redeemed a gift card for a digital Visa last Friday. It has now been six days of being ignored — endless emails, ridiculous hold times, and still no card.
If you’re thinking of buying a gift card from card.gift, don’t. This company is a complete sham. Go to the post office and buy a physical card — at least you’ll actually receive what you pay for.
They have taken $100 from my client for a digital product that was never delivered, then had the audacity to charge an extra service fee on top. No explanation. No resolution. No accountability.
This isn’t just bad customer service — it’s negligent and misleading. I genuinely don’t understand how businesses like this are allowed to operate. Avoid at all costs.

I'd leave it a zero 0. Gift cards. Come lies this year of 2026. They say you can pay bills leave it on Google wallet. Not true. This year I can't pay bills or get a full refund or any refund for their lies. I called customer service they Said I can't pay bill's. Says on website you can pay bills. Not TRUE .For 6 months I buy a new card at that time it was 5 bucks for a card now its 6.95 for a damn card . Nothing mentioned on back of csrd you can't pay bill's. Why in hell would I waste money on a gift card for anything else ? Gift card on back says you can pay bill's that's a BLATANT LIE. YOU CAN NOT PAY BILLS ANY MORE. Customer service says no bill's but card says you can. Why don't they change the back of their card's saying you Can Not Pay Bill's any more ? Probably a scam avoid at all cost
Probably a scam. Someone has to sue them for scamming people. After the cashier tried multiple times to pass the card they blocked it, and refuse to issue a new card. Eventually I had to pay using my own money. Also if you try to call don't expect an answer. It will take 20 min minimum.

E-gift cards not received
I purchased two $400 Mastercard e-gift cards for my son, despite your website advertising that he would receive them instantly in his email inbox - this certainly hasn't been the case. Hours later and he still has not yet received the gift cards but my card has been charged. This is false advertising and frankly fraud given that my money has been taken yet my son hasn't received his gift vouchers. Buyer beware!!

Received the gift card from work. Unable to activate it. Contacted them via phone and the hold message asked to contact them via their website. Over 2 weeks now and still haven’t heard back.
Update April 2026: did not receive any response until 4 days ago via Trustpilot. I contacted the card network again via email (request #476296), and still waiting.

Seems like a two -bit operation. Likely slim to no CX resources in place. Clear the digital platform doesn't work. Not sure how or why mastercard or visa would agree to let them distribute content.
I'm curtntly out $459 5 days out from Christmas. I've reported it as a scam to my institution who will handle the refund process.
Digital Gift card you don't receive
Bought a digital card for a colleague, expected it to be automatic, was then sent an email saying my purchase was being reviewed and would take 24hours. But they took the money immediately, so what are you reviewing? Emailed them and that is a minimum of 24 hours and no one on phone line. Dodgy!! Wouldn't use again

Had a terrible experience with this company, my first time trying them and definitely my last!
They did not send the gift card at the agreed time, in fact, they did not send it at all! When questioned via email by myself, they just cancelled the order. Very unprofessional and this has never happened to me with any other card service I’ve used.

I received a $20 from my workplace as did many others who work with me. I went on line to purchase a Coles gift card. It was going to cost me $13.50 to purchase it plus another $1.50 for GST. So that would leave $5 to spend at Coles. What an absolute joke! I will inform my employer not to buy card.gift again.

They hide poor reviews
They won't publish the 1-star review I wrote for the Holiday & Hotel gift card, which is a very poor-value card that locks you into their hotel booking portal. Who knows how many negative reviews they hide to make sure people keep buying unpopular or poor-value gift cards.
