It has now been almost two years since our wedding, and our issue still hasn’t been resolved.

We were very happy with our wedding photography itself, but unfortunately the experience afterwards with the photo books has been disappointing.

The photo book included in our package was not of a standard we would expect for a wedding product; we also pre-ordered two extra books, that were £200 each. The images were printed very small and the layout felt cramped, meaning it didn’t feel like a finished photo book we would want to keep or show.

We raised this at the time and were told a contribution would be made towards a replacement photo book, but this never happened. At one point the case was also handed over when the original contact was no longer able to continue, and after that the issue was never properly resolved even after multiple chases.

What has been most disappointing is not the product itself, but the complete lack of follow-through over a prolonged period which has been energy zapping. We consistently responded when contacted and tried to resolve things directly, but were ultimately left without any resolution.

We did eventually create a £20 photo book ourselves, which is of noticeably better quality than the ones we were supplied.

We don’t leave negative reviews ever, and this is the first time we have felt the need to do so. After almost two years of trying to resolve this privately, and with no response to our most recent communication, we feel it is only fair to share our experience so others can make an informed decision.

We are so grateful to have found you guys for our wedding and I could not have ever imagined the wedding video being better! We felt so comfortable with Karl, some of our family still talk about him as the cool ninja with the drone, Haha! We also want to say thanks to Steve for his help more recently as we waited.

Update: Section 75 claim was successful after the service was found not to have been delivered in accordance with the contract.

They have also been reported to Trading Standards.

Advise anyone to consider using them based on their reply here, lack of reply to myself and the claims team, their lack of conformance inline with a contract and how they treat customers. A wedding video is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Please take care in your choice of supplier. My takeaway is to provide more positive reviews to the wonderful suppliers I do encounter, and that while in my whole life I have only ever needed to supply 2 negative reviews, unfortunately this one was needed having ruined my one opportunity for a video keepsake of our special day.

Terrible communication, massively exceeded the 16 week delivery date and have provided an unusable video link. While they had unfortunate circumstances on their side they are not a single man company and more effort should absolutely have been done to better communicate. They completely ignored my emails between January and April which is completely unacceptable. When they finally reached out with our video 8 months(!!) after our wedding all they have provided is an online viewing link with no option to download and again no response after querying this. Avoid.

We are so glad we found Karl as our videographer. Originally, we hadn’t planned to have one, but we changed our minds just four weeks before the wedding after so many people told us we’d regret it, and they were absolutely right. We would have missed out on the most incredible footage if we hadn’t booked him.

From our first meeting, Karl was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. He worked with us to create a clear plan for our two-day wedding celebration so that every special moment we cared about would be captured.

When we met him on the wedding weekend, we loved him instantly, he honestly felt like one of our guests, a genuine friend. He blended into the background so naturally that most of the time we didn’t even realise he was there, yet he also stepped in at the perfect moments to give just enough direction to capture beautiful, emotional footage. We were genuinely sad to see him go because he was amazing energy to have around!

We cannot thank him enough for the thoughtfulness and creativity he put into our video. He captured the whole weekend perfectly, and we feel so lucky to have these memories to watch forever. We would recommend Karl to absolutely anyone and feel we have made a friend. You will not regret booking him!

We got along so well will Karl and we are so glad we booked with you guys! All our love and prayers go out to him and thank you to the rest of your team for steping in to complete the project, we could not have asked for a better film and its amazing to relive it all these months later, totally worth it and a feeling we will have for may years to come.

We had an intimate wedding on 12th September 2024, and I honestly can’t believe it’s taken me this long to write this review. Hiring Karl was easily one of the best decisions we made. We weren’t sure if we needed a videographer for a smaller wedding, but we’re so glad we went for it because we still watch and love our video so much.

Karl fit into our day so naturally. We thought it might feel a bit strange having someone filming such a small wedding, but it didn’t at all — he blended right in and ended up being a big part of the day. We still talk about him all the time when we chat about the wedding.

The video he created is incredible. The music he picked was perfect honestly better than anything we would’ve chosen ourselves and those songs have now become our “wedding songs”. He captured so many lovely, real moments, and we even have some of our favourite photos from screenshots of the video because he caught us laughing and just being ourselves.

We’re so grateful to Karl for giving us something we’ll treasure forever. Couldn’t recommend him more.

Captured Weddings really know what they are doing. Super organised, with a couple of meetings beforehand to run through our day/timings/location/what's important to us etc. Then on the big day itself Sonny was amazing, professional, polite and friendly which is important when you're letting someone you don't know into the most important day of your life. He put me at ease straightaway. Communication was always reliable with timelines given so we knew what to expect.
As for the video it is just beautiful. I'm in awe of how 12 hours of footage is summed up perfectly in 8 minutes with all the main parts, and managing to get everyone in the video at some point. A memory to cherish forever. Thank you, we are so glad we found and chose you.

I got married in May this year and came across Karl's instagram page when looking for a videographer. I can honestly say the things that caught my eye were the small details Karl captures in his videos, moments between couples, families, friends - all together making an incredible video full of the most special moments.

Karl understood the assignment to a tee - I wanted minimal fuss, just a good highlight capturing moments that would be special to us.

I've just received all my videos and I could not be happier (through the happy tears, I've sobbed a lot haha) I will be recommending Captured Video to anyone I know getting married and looking for a very cool guy who's going to make you feel that way too by your side videoing your day.

Fantastic choice deciding to go with Captured Weddings. We booked them for Videography and they have created just the most beautiful video flooding all the memories back! The team are genuinely nice people really care on the day to get the best shots they can without being in the way. Would book them again without any hesitation!
