Looking at 68 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found the printers unreliable, frequently encountering issues like paper jams, blank pages, or devices stopping working soon after purchase. Customers also faced significant frustration with connectivity problems, including difficulties with WiFi and software compatibility, especially with non-Canon cartridges. The high cost and forced use of genuine ink, which often don't last long, were also major points of dissatisfaction. However, some people were satisfied with certain products, highlighting good print quality and speed. Faulty MB2750 printer

Faulty MB2750 printer which was purchased 16 weeks ago and is still under warranty. Contacted Customer services via chat and by telephone to be told that it has to be returned to them for repair or replacement. Canon were supposed to contact me to arrange this by email bit haven't done so to date. Further chat with them today to be told that it will take up to 5 working days for first person to contact me and a further 10 working days before a resolution is made once they have the printer. All in all owe will be left without a printer until early next year which is not good enough. No one at Canon seems to care or are interested. Very poor service.

Do not buy from Canon direct

I purchased a flagship camera direct from the canon store thinking that it would be better support than my usual camera stockist. How wrong could I be. UPS are absolutely awful, took days to deliver (and lied that they had attempted delivery. Then they threw the camera over a fence at the end of the road. Canon's response is to take a week deciding what to do. Don't bother emailing as they do not reply to emails. It makes me question if I should swap systems.

Excellent service

Following a recent purchase of a new laptop with Windows 11, I was having problems scanning. I could not scan TWO pieces of paper and save them as ONE document. After speaking to two other tech support operators, I spoke to Cannon. The chap I spoke to was very patient and understanding (I am a dinosaur) and listened to my problem. After an hour he identified the problem, installed updates and provided a new app which resolved the problem. I was very pleased and grateful for the excellent service I experienced. Thank you Cannon

Canon MG3600 printer is awful

Canon MG3600 printer is awful, doesn't work with MacBook. Why they can't make software / drivers work between the Mac and the Canon is beyond me - it's a basic requirement for a printer company surely?
When the colour or black cartridge runs low, the printer throws up all sorts of problems. Any non genuine cartridge does not work so you pay high cost for poor experience. DONT NOT BUY! I wish I hadn't. It's been over a year of painful printing experiences - just avoid, if they can't be bothered to make the printer work with common laptops then don't waste your time trying to bodge it through

Excellent repair service

We bought our Canon printer from Argos for £36.Fault developed so Argos advised us to contact Canon direct.
Canon sent a prepaid postage label,we sent it off and it was returned within 2 weeks,as informed, fault sorted. The fault was our using non Canon cartridges,so printer was returned with 2 new cartridges fitted at no cost.
That is excellent service with which we are very pleased. So,speak as you find👍

What an utter shambles

I had a subscription for ink for my PIXMA TR4500 series. I received the notification on the 19th Sept that it was coming up to fulfilment time but that if I sent an email requesting cancellation within 24 hours, the repeat order would be cancelled. I duly sent an email requesting cancellation in good time. Imagine my shock when I then got a dispatch notification. In the first place, I noticed that the cost I was at least £8 higher than what it should have been. I reached out urgently but I was told that the order was already on the way and to return after receipt (utter waste of numerous resources). I returned promptly on the 26th Sept and advised Canon on the 4th Oct because I didn’t hear anything back. I was told on the 8th that they were expecting delivery that day and ‘Once this happens the order for your refund will be triggered and once your bank clears it within the next couple of days, it will appear on your account’. I waited another week and reached out again on the 16th because there was no acknowledgment or refund confirmation email. I received a response saying that the ‘store team will be contacted to confirm the status of my refund’. The million-pound questions are- why was the ink dispatched in the first place, even after cancellation was requested within the window specified and two, how does it take weeks to process a customer’s refund? The sheer waste of the, I feel, deliberate refusal to cancel and the hassle of making numerous calls and sending numerous chasing emails is totally unacceptable in this day and age. I need my £38.46 refund asap.

Complete Failure of Service - Order Placed 4th October

Subject: URGENT: Complete Failure of Service - Order Placed 4th October
On October 4th, I placed an order for a printer that was advertised as in stock with a guaranteed next-day delivery. This delivery failed to occur.
Upon contacting Customer Service (CS), I was told that despite my confirmation email, the warehouse had apparently not received the order. A representative apologized and confirmed a new delivery date of October 14th. This already represented a ten-day delay from the original promise.
The printer did not arrive on October 14th.
I immediately contacted CS again, stipulating clearly that if the product could not be delivered on October 15th, I required an immediate refund. CS responded with a promise: if the printer was not delivered by October 16th, a full refund would be issued.
The delivery failed for the third time, and the promised refund was not processed. The company failed to uphold its refund commitment.
The printer finally arrived, without an apology, on October 20th. This product was delivered sixteen days after the guaranteed 'next-day' date.
The cumulative failures—three broken delivery promises and a failed commitment to process a refund—demonstrate an unacceptable standard of fulfillment and customer support.

If you have Snapdragon Don't purchase a Canon printer

Don't purchase a Canon printer if you have Snapdragon or Arm processor on your laptop as they wont download the drivers I purchased a GX 6050 printer a year ago and found that the printer wont work on my new surface pro, After various conversations with canon they stated that no cannon printer has Snapdragon/arm compatibility, They did temporary fix with a Microsoft version were you can do limited functions, But not double sided scannning/printing etc, In fact its not worth the effort, All the apologies in the world from them wont address my £370 out of pocket now,
My big disappointment is that canon are so reluctant be up-to date, This was my first canon and now last purchase, Going back to HP

Thank you Canon for the high quality after care support

I wanted a cheap but cheerful printer for the occasional use. I bought a PIXMA printer.from Argos under £40! I really struggled to get it to connect to WiFi. In the end I phoned the Canon UK support line. Phone answered promptly and an incredibly helpful technician guided me through the process and stuck with me even though the problem was in part the WIFI. It’s a long time since I have received such helpful after purchase help. Thank You Canon and the technician who was so patient and helpful. The printer also works well.

Full repair under warranty - working swimmingly

I use my Canon Pixma G650 for semi-professional purposes - printing prototypes of products and samples before I get them sent for professional print. I also make some art prints using the expensive Canon Fine Art media. For these purposes the print quality has really been exceptional for the price, and so I was gutted when the printer developed an issue about 10 months into ownership. Canon UK support however were very helpful (spoke to a real person via phone not some AI chatbot) and I sent the printer off for repair and just got it back today within a couple of weeks and all issues fixed with ink topped up. Can't really fault this level of service!

Model Canon x Pixma using Canon PG-560XL/CL-561XL - DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree with everything said about these printers being poor. I work from home and all I wanted was a small home printer with feeder scanner and decent cartridge use. DO NOT EVER BUY this evil litle printer and spend hours pouring over the ADF / Scanner misfunction as I have. Its enough to send anyone over the edge. I bought mine from Ryman and am taking it back.

Canon TS5150 printer

I have had this printer for a long time but it just gets worse and worse. In an ordinary house without central heating on 24 hours a day it just eats paper and constatnly tells you that there's a paper jam or that there's no paper in it at all. You have to get at the back of the printer to access the paper jam so it needs to be put on top of something not in a shelving unit or you can't even get to it! It always seems to be worse after you've bought new expensive ink cartidges so if you just smash it up and throw it out - which is what it will leave you feeling like doing after 20 minutes of trying to print one lousy side of A4 - you waste the cost of the cartridges as well!!

Avoid these problems by not buying one in the first place. I don't know how it obtains the reviews that it gets in the press. It certainly doesn't merit them in the real world.

Canon TR4600 printer is absolutely USELESS! The worst printer I have ever experienced in 40 years! Non stop problems on a daily basis. Extremely frustrating and not worth the money. Will NEVER buy a Canon printer ever again.

These printers are absolute garbage

These printers are absolute garbage. Bought the top of the range that Argos had it lasted a month and came up with a support code 7700 spent hours on the phone to the support team who eventually said send it back. Got a replacement and guess what same issue again

Canon MG2500 does not support…

Canon MG2500 does not support borderless photo printing. Doesn't matter what you try, you can't print a photograph without margins. Doesn't tell you this on the box before you buy it.
