Everything went according to plan. (Porto Costal / Spiritual Variant). My daughters joined me in Baiona, which added to the planning complexity. Not having to do the detailed setup of the stays and baggage transfers removed a lot of planning work and let me focus on enjoying the journey. Buen Camino!

Structure of your service is very good. Could inform clients better from the outset, were inconsistencies around luggage within our group.

All of the accommodations and dining were outstanding. There were some detail miscues regarding some of the bookings but they were resolved and did not cause any big problems.

The whole trip was so much more than I could have hoped for! Our guide, Mark, was fabulous. You could tell he really enjoys what he does and was so excited to share his knowledge with our group. He went above and beyond when it came to socializing with the group, providing daily walk information, recommending places to stop, and helping us get our certificates in Santiago. I really couldn't have asked for a better guide for this adventure! The hotels that were arranged for us were all great and places I would recommend to anyone traveling to these areas. The luggage service was amazing, and we didn't have a single issue. The nightly dinners were at places that all had wonderful food and fantastic service. I would definitely use Camino Ways again and can't say enough good things about my experience!

We did the Camino del Norte route and did speak with Camino Ways reps about this. They said it was fine for mountain biking. Maybe if you are an expert mountain biker and we told them we were NOT. There were no other bikers. The “gentle rolling hills” as described on Day 1 description is not true! There are steep ascents and descents with rocks and deep ruts! And we were told by walkers that Day 2 was even harder. The entryway for the trail in San Sebastián had a metal gate that did not allow bikes to get through. We had to lift the heavy mountain bikes over and this should have been our first clue that we should not bike this trail. Shame on us for not doing our research and just trusting the Camino Ways reps who apparently just want to sell their package tour.

The communications process was great! There was some inconsistency in regards to the amount of luggage permitted.
However, the tour itself was very well organised, accommodation was comfortable, clean and a great representation of each stop.
Our tour guide Mark Auchinincloss was exceptional! His knowledge, experience, helpfulness and patience made this experience truly memorable. Even well before the tour started Mark's communication with the group and his assistance was fantastic. Thank you for an experience of a lifetime.

Transport to/from airport and daily transport of luggage was seamless. It was easy to check in at all facilities where we stayed. All facilities were clean and quiet and easy to find. My only suggestion is that the apartments in Pontedueme provide instructions about how to use the air conditioner. It might also be helpful for people to know that breakfast there is on the lighter side. I have recommended Camino Ways to friends and hope to use them again. I love Camino Ways!

The communication was reliable and consistent. The hotels/accommodations were great. Our luggage were at the when we arrived. The ride from the Porto airport to Sarria and from Santiago to the bus station in Porto were on time and comfortable. Excellent service.

Great and helpful guide, amazing experience on the Camino. Everything went smooth and as promised.

First, the experience of Camino is one of shared goodwill and humanity. Camino Ways is a great facilitator of helping to organize and of making sure of the quality of your trip, From wonderful logistics to mostly superb lodging and food arrangements, they enhance your time on the Camino.

We rode the via francigena in june. The vendor has since been incommunicado.

The wife rented a bike from caminoways. The bike was not delivered on time to the hotel in Rome before we had to travel onward.

When we were on the onward journey caminoways told us we had to pay a 200 euro fee to have another bike delivered at our next destination. After a bit of argument they dropped this demand. We were however served complaints about them not being able to take responsibility for subcontractors who did not deliver. I personally find this argument to be a direct provocation - what do I need an organizer for, if not to find trustworthy subcontractors?

We were denied usage of the bike for two riding days. Upon contacting caminoways to ask how they wanted to handle this we have not heard back.

We have travelled with saddle skedaddle, velo voyageur and others before. We will go back to these, more trustworthy vendors.

The website was great. The hotels selected were really good. Everything about our trip seemed seamless.
We never had any issues with our luggage service.
As a result of all of this we had a wonderful time.

Mark our guide for the trip was excellent, he was very organised, well informed, friendly and caring.
Communication, hotels and food were all very good.
Very enjoyable experience.
I have rebooked for next year.

This was my first Camino and I was so grateful for the reliable support provided.

Some accommodations were outside the quaint little villages- so we missed out on that part of enjoying Camino. Also- we had requested double beds rather than twin, and this was not honored- especially disappointed that this was not arranged at Catolicos Reyes in Santiago.
Also, communication and support was not great. For instance- they would not help with specific luggage request- just referred you to Correo- which does not work on our selected dates.
I would say to book with a local Spanish arranger rather than someone from Ireland - who doesn’t appear too familiar with local providers. So I do not recommend. Another organization was able to help us with luggage. And other fellow Pilgrims paid less and stayed at more convenient locations.
Overall just OK, and a bit overpriced. There are better options out there.
When these things were brought to their attention during the trip they just kept saying we’re sorry - but never corrected or took care of issues.

For me this whole Camino experience was a a thoroughly positive experience. From signing up through to walking the Camino itself. I was able to do so with confidence. The hotels were well selected. Clean and comfortable. A special mention must go to our excellent guide, Mark Auchincloss. A lovely individual, he is also someone who really knows the Camino and all things that surround it.

I booked the upgraded package from Caminoways for the part I walked of the Camino del Norte. This meant I paid significantly more for the hotels.
One place however was a complete dump: a literal junk yard with dilapitated cars in front, the roof crumbling, chicken running everywhere, very dirty bathroom, awful breakfast with every single item coming out a plastic wrapper, broken coffee machine, etc.
Caminoways had booked me at this place (20 walk from Unquera) for 2 nights claiming there were no hotel rooms available at the town that I would walk to on the second day, Llanes. This meant that after having walked to Llanes I had to take a taxi back to this so-called hotel to be taken back again to Llanes the following morning to start my hike. When I arrived at the dump I immediately tried to get a hotel room in Llanes and had no trouble whatsoever finding a good room. This meant that Caminoways’ claim that there were no hotel rooms available in Llanes was false. They just wanted to book me somewhere as cheap as possible.
I will never do another Camino walk with Caminoways again.
Please be careful when booking with them, they make all sorts of claims they cannot make true.
Finally, their route description is impossible to work with. I have done many Camino walks and have an app which is actually very good. I have the impression that no one from Caminoways has actually walked any part of any Camino.

Camino Ways provided an outstanding experience from start to finish on our Portuguese Coastal Camino. From our very first inquiry, their team was responsive, knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail. The planning and booking process was seamless, and everything was perfectly organized before we even started walking the way.
Every hotel they selected exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were comfortable, welcoming, and ideally located after long days of walking. We were especially impressed by the value we received excellent quality while keeping the trip very affordable.
What really stood out was the peace of mind they provided. Knowing that support was available if we needed it allowed us to focus on enjoying the Camino and the incredible experience of the journey itself.
Our father-daughter pilgrimage was everything we had hoped for, and Camino Ways played a huge part in making it so memorable. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again in fact, we’re already talking about returning next summer to walk the French Way with Camino Ways.

It was a great trip with CaminoWays. This is the second trip with them and we would do it again. Scheduling, accommodations and transportation was what we were expecting.
