Coffee is just ok

Coffee is just ok, this is the most expensive coffee shop! Pure rip off! I find it strange people drink there! Must have lots of money. Some of the pastry shrank but the prise is a joke! Will never drink there again !

Such the worst taste of Hot chocolate

Such the worst taste of Hot chocolate. Please try from Costa/Greggs/PretAManger before servicing any hot drinks. Once I attempted in Liverpool back in 2023. I decided not to go there again.

Today (19th Feb 2025) I accidentally tried again Hot chocolate from Nero Caffee, Victoria train station. This is enough for a lifetime. Waste of my money.

Great coffee but rude service

Great coffee and cakes etc but I have to mention the very rude assistant who served me, having apparently first told my wife which coffee was hers and which was mine, this being out of my earshot, I asked her which coffee was which and she said I’ve told you twice, so rude, the person in question was a foreign lady in the Horsham branch.

NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!

I can give 0, I would have deffo done so!!!!!!

I love going to Nero in Beckenham, always friendly service, welcoming and good coffee!
Today I decided to visit the Nero Express in Liverpool Street station London on my way into the office, but wish I never did!

I waited 17 minutes to get my coffee! There were two staff members but only one was making the coffees, not sure what the other ones duty was, but didn't seem like a lot! They made me wait first of all ages to order a coffee, cause they were more occupied with click and collect orders. After a long wait I ordered my coffee, but then didn't receive it after another 10 minutes. Many people behind me received their coffees even though they ordered after me. I was then screamed at twice if I want chocolate on my cappuccino, after I said yes twice already, on the third scream if I want chocolate the one lady behind the counters said to who ever the rude one was that made the coffee, yes he wants chocolate. The lady that made the coffees were bloody rude, pretend she didn't receive my order and then made me feel like a piece of rubbish. Quick to let me pay for my coffee, but waiting for 17 bloody minutes to receive my coffee, never again would I want to visit any Neros coffee shops after this experience. I would rather give my hard earned money to a coffee shop that cares. Really annoyed about the service I received!!!!

Dreadful conditions and rude staff

The facilities at my local branch in Cobham are going from bad to worse.

It used to be the tables not being cleared of dirty crockery, and crumbs, etc on the floor, but this has now extended to scruffy baristas who also display rude and/or ignorant tendencies.

On my last visit a lady in front of me in the queue was rudely, and assertively, spoken to by your barista who had misheard the details of the coffee required.

Having worked behind the bar in pubs myself, we were never allowed to wear scruffy jeans, which looked like they hadn’t been washed in an eternity, and trainers.

There seems to be no pride in your business.

Thank you very much Ellie.

We love coming to Cafe Nero at Wokingham for its warmth and ambience. Ellie makes a great coffee and presentation clearly shows her passion and attention to detail. Her pleasant demeanour makes it a wonderful experience.

Keep up the great work !

Not allowed a proper mug! Kingston branch.

I suppose I could be considered fussy but I really prefer to have my coffee from a proper mug, rather than a paper cup. It’s just a much nicer experience, so I was disappointed to be told that despite the stack of lovely clean mugs, I wasn’t allowed to have one because if they gave me one, everyone would want one! Go figure!

Cafe Nero Ilkley.Don’t go

Cafe Nero Ilkley.
Often go into this cafe Nero mainly because it’s dog friendly but I have been increasingly concerned about the general dirtiness of the place. The floor area around the counter is very grimy generally the floor which is wood is filthy. I went into the toilet. The door handle was broken. The back of the door was grimy, the sink enamelwa# relatively clean but the back of sink near wall was dirty as was the overflow area. The floor edges were very grimy as was the pipe work, the toilet brush was dirty/rusty. The toilet seat would not stay up. Needless to say I will not be visiting again and would prefer the Vitello lounge almost next door which wa# very clean in comparison

Scoring purely on their “milkshakes”

Scoring purely on their “milkshakes”. It is NOT a milkshake, rather flavoured milk. I find it ridiculous that they charge £4.95 for a “milkshake” that tastes like Nesquick. There is no ice-cream involved at all! This should not be classed as a milkshake, rather flavoured milk frappe. If you love genuine milkshake made with ice cream, I would not recommend Cafe Nero.

Spent money here for years, think I'm done with that

Purchased a gift card through the app, the recipient was unable to redeem it because it kept glitching when they tried. They contacted customer services who told them to tell me to ask for a refund. Well I did, and they've completely ignored me for weeks despite saying that people should get a response within 48 hours. I've sent multiple messages and gotten no replies. It's a joke and I haven't got my money back.
I've always chosen Caffe Nero as my #1 go to for coffee and I think I'm completely done with that.
Got the gift card to cheer someone up and instead it's caused both them and me so much stress.

Incredible staff member, Darragh

Incredible staff. The staff member who served me was knowledgeable, polite and very friendly. When I got to my table, he appeared soon after to enquire if I had dropped £10, which I had. Thank you sir, you are a credit to Cafe Nero, Bangor, Northern Ireland.

New Oxford branch

This is a lovely new cafe in the High Street Oxford. Sadly everytime I go in there 70% of tables are taken up with laptop users. I've lost count of how many times I've walked out because there are no free seats. Very disappointed too many times!

Caffè Nero Staff are friendly and love the coffee…

Caffè Nero Louth Lincolnshire. Staff are friendly and love the coffee but the shop floor is filthy. It looks like it’s not seen a vacuum and mop for weeks. Furniture is stained and tired. The toilet needs a revamp. It’s a shame as they have strong competition from Costa which is spotless.

Nice coffee

Staff are very friendly and efficient, they try their best but are under pressure. The coffee and food lovely, the decor is tired and shabby and the toilets need a goood cleaning. I'm surprised that they are not pulled up by the authorities. Whoever manages Caffe Nero really needs to get a handle on this

Poisoned at Bath city centre

This morning, for the first time, I decided to try breakfast at Caffè Nero in the center of Bath.

I specifically went there to try the famous maritozzo and the much-advertised and highly praised pistachio latte, driving about 20 minutes and involving my partner in the experience. I want to emphasize that I rarely write reviews, but in this case, it is absolutely necessary.

After spending more than 20 minutes at the counter to receive my order—one hot pistachio latte, one hot tea, two maritozzi, and a sandwich with mozzarella and salami—I was served by a Chinese/Filipino-looking guy who barely understood the language and was clearly struggling. His colleague, despite not being busy, completely ignored the situation.

He heated the sandwich for a full five minutes without even asking me, and needless to say, the result was inedible—what was supposed to be salami turned into something toxic! The pistachio latte was actually a vanilla-flavored milk with no trace of pistachio taste whatsoever. The hot tea, or rather the boiling water used for it, had a disgusting taste—I can’t say whether it was due to the dirt in the cup or the kettle itself.

The two maritozzi were absolutely hard, probably stale.

Before leaving the place in a hurry, I used the restroom, which is located upstairs. The level of filth, lack of hygiene, and the awful smell were simply disgusting—I have no words to describe how revolting it was. I refused to use it and was forced to pay an extra charge to eat inside rather than take away, despite the fact that basic sanitary conditions were not met.

The dirt behind the counter, where drinks are prepared and food is plated, is truly shameful. Both my partner and I now have severe stomach pains, as if we had suffered some form of food poisoning.

I genuinely believe that £20.80—especially considering that I didn’t even receive my change and had to beg for a receipt—is an absolute scam. The management should urgently intervene, and honestly, I feel completely ripped off!

I will never spend another penny in your establishments—SHAME ON YOU!

Chairs are for people, not dogs!

I love my local Neros. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
But I do object to dogs being allowed on chairs.
It is raining outside and there are 6 dogs in here. 1 is constantly barking and 4 are sat on chairs, a dachshund is even eating off the table. People have to sit on these chairs, and it is wrong that there maybe mud, or god forbid anything worse for them to sit on after.

Cafe Nero Sligo

Cafe Nero. Sligo, Co Sligo. Called today. Looked good from outside. Staff were unfriendly. 2 capachinos were not tasty and left a bitter taste. Dirty table tops. Poor atmosphere. Moved tables to find one that did not wobble. Toilet dirty. Coffee was expensive and had to pay €3 parking. Would not go back. So much for the best coffee this side of Milan.
