Kitchen staff decides over my hunger
First simple and short decription of my experience:
- too expensive for it not delivers you what it promises
- NO sushi-grade fish in their sushi-inspired products (they call sushi)
- no sushi rice used
- the rice in the "sushi" are not seasoned adequately (e.g.lack of rice vinegar)
- really really LONG waiting time till food arrives (we were only 3 guest in restaurant)
- kitchen staff decides what she wants to serve you
- warm dishes (grill sticks) were served cold
- cold dish (the sushi) was served at room temperature
- tempura chicken and tempura shrimp are deepfrozen breadcrumb coated products
- frozen soyabeens were tawed in hot water and served
- very bad communication between waitress and kitchen staff
- waitress was not aware the order i placed
- bubble tea is pineapple siroop with some litchi and mango flavoured boba in it. No tea in it at all!
CONCLUSION: NO!!!!!! I will NOT again go to that place to order sushi or bubble tea unless it is the ONLY open food place in the entire denmark and everything else is closed.
I am giving 1 star for basic politeness of the employees and for a basic restaurant set up
For food i give 0 star because it was edible and looked like Sushi but it wasn't "Sushi". It is rather a Sushi inspired product wrapped in Nori sheets. These "Sushi's are far far away from the Sushis that you would get - especially for this price (198kr for ad Libitum) in other Sushi restaurants. The quality and the taste of the Sushis in Egedal Café were like that of a home made "experiment-sushi" by a beginner. Also the tastes of the products were acceptable and edible but its not slightly close to real Sushi taste.
The fish in those "sushi" were not the sushi-grade fish. It was rather cold smoked fish. All fish, surimi, rice and the toppings were at room temperature.
Then i ordered the lamb kotlette and crispy chicken on stick. These were served cold. Taste was good and would have been better if served warm.
I tipped all the items i wanted at the beginning of round 1. I had ordered 10 different items and the needed 30minutes to serve me 4 items in a Café that had ONLY 3 people in the entire room. The two others ordered openfaced sandwiches, which were orepared ahead and placed in their "show"-shelves.
Then another 25minutes later the waitress came with 2 further items. So i asked her, if the rest will also take so long to be served then she replied "i am pretty sure that these are all the items you ordered." Then i explained to her that i chose ad Libitum. Then she went to kitchen and then came back and told me they will serve the rest withing 5 to 10minutes interval.
In total 9 items out of 10 have been served. And i assumed the last will arrive in another 5to10mins. But then the waitress came to me and said, that the kitchen staff decided not to make the 10th item because she believes that I would not be able to finish it (😱😱😱😭😭😭its my first every experience in a restaurant that the kitchen staff decides over my hunger🤣🤣🤣). Then i told the waitress to let the kitchen staff make the 10th item. And it wad delivered after another 10minutes.
