Honestly no tutoring is better than this place. Their tutoring is basically self studying and they answer questions occasionally. I could get better and more thourough explainations on youtube. Most of their tutors are not even qualified and google the answers when you ask a question as if I couldnt do that myself. Some are also rude, telling you to give up. Honestly regret using C2 because they ruined my chances of getting a good SAT score. My score improved by only 10 points from using them for a year. So disappointing. Use a better tutoring place like Princeton Review or something. Anything is better than here.

Susan and her team have been such an enormous help for both of my children! We love the personalized test prep and all the practice tests the kids can take at the center. You are in good hands with C2 Westport!

We used C2 Education in Millburn for the past 2 years for our now rising HS senior. We have had an excellent experience. They have been supporting him with his GPA and have helped raise his SAT score over 350 points.
We highly recommend them.

C2 center in Torrance helped me a lot during my junior and senior years of high school for both tutoring and assistance with college applications. The teachers are very friendly and patient, while the head coordinator was always very communicative about my schedule. I never had any issues about possible money scamming or rude behavior during my time. On many long days after school, my friend and I were welcomed to complete assignments/homework at the Torrance center in quiet study rooms. C2 helped me a lot with my college application essays and offered many personal advice to let me reach my full potential.

The quality of the tutors has gone down. I have prepaid for a bank of hours and while my kids used to find C2E very helpful, they said all of the good tutors have left and the current ones are not helpful. I have tried remote tutors and it was also not helpful. I ended up paying an outside tutor even thought I have MANY unused C2E hours. I have also called to complain that the tutor was not helpful to my daughter and they merely replied with "try the zoom" tutors.

We paid for a large package for tutoring with assurances that the center would work with us on schedule since my daughter plays sports. Her tutors left the center, the remaining ones could not answer her questions, and the times available were so limited we could never get on a schedule to come in. I was promised a refund 4 months ago which is mysteriously missing. This place is a scam stay far away

We found C2 online and there was a location close to our home. I emailed and received a phone call from the nearby location and I explained my daughter needed study skills help and time management. We went in, paid $60 for a test and were then pulled into a room to discuss. The woman talked down to me and my daughter and told her that there was no excuse for her low algebra score as she had just taken the class. I explained on the phone before the exam that algebra is a topic she struggles with. We were then presented three very costly options ranging from $5,000-11,000 and no mention of progress, refunds, referrals, nothing. They suggested she take 2-hour courses in Science, English, and Algebra/Geometry each week. My daughter scored almost perfect grades in science and English, there was no need for this. They just want money. I agreed to a trial class for two hours at $125/hour because the woman we spoke with is not a tutor and I was willing to try and see. During the "class" my daughter was given a workbook and that was it. No instruction whatsoever for $250. This is a total scam and parents beware!
C2's SAT preparation was just what our son needed to achieve great scores which helped in getting accepted to his first choice college, Boston College.

"I urge families, do NOT make the mistake of choosing C2 Education! My experience with them has been nothing short of appalling. Ever since Simon, the Center Director at C2 Education, Berkeley abruptly left in December 2018, the entire operation has gone downhill.
I, along with my oldest and middle child, had a positive experience with Simon, which led me to purchase an additional 100 hours of tutoring in the hopes that my youngest child could benefit as well. Little did I know, when the pandemic hit in 2020, these hours (remaining 56) suddenly had an expiration date that no one bothered to inform me about. Had I been aware of this, I would have never invested in more hours.
I have had to deal with a constant turnover of incompetent staff: Michael, Andrew, Tina, Selene, Lisa, Jonathan...the list is endless. Each one had a different story, showcasing a complete lack of professionalism and consistency. And let's not forget about the condescending tutor, Christopher, who had the audacity to belittle my youngest child and suggested she had a learning disability. Why would a tutor ask if you’re dyslexic and from another country because of grammatical mistakes and you’re there for Chemistry? It was highly inappropriate for Christopher to make assumptions and condescending remarks about a students abilities or background.
Despite the contract clearly stating that C2 Education has the discretion to reinstate hours, I've been met with resistance from Thomas, District Manager for C2 Education, who outright refuses to do so. It's an absolute disgrace on how they do business.
Consider this a public service announcement: there are plenty of other tutoring services out there that not only offer better value for money but also treat their customers with respect. Unless you want to endure the nightmare I have experienced, steer clear of C2 Education."
I was about to use the remaining hours that I purchased from the C2 Education in 2022. Only to find out that that the corporate office decided to enforce the expiration date. While I was talking to few directors at other centers in different states to find out some information, I got the impression that the expiration date was not enforced strongly before, which explains that I never realized that there was one. Come to think of it, who has the expiration date on the education services? There was no issue in any of previous years. Even last year, the center contacted me with a promotion and failed to mention that the remaining hours would soon expire. I specifically remember that the reason for not purchasing additional hours was due to not being able to use the hours as expected and hope to use the following year, which is this year 2024, for the SAT. Wouldn't that be enough to alert a client that those remaining hours needed to be used before the expiration date? Wouldn't it be courteous to inform its client that any remaining hours will soon expire and need to be used? The new director at the center does not even want to help or listen to my side of story, and tried to sell more hours. Really, you already gave wrong impression, and the resolution is telling a client to buy more hours. Trying to talk to its regional director but told that not allowed. Called the corporate office multiple times but no answer. By the way, I was able to contact its previous director and was told that they informs clients regarding expiring hours, and in my case it may not have been done so. Is the C2 Education simply more interested in getting money but not provide proper services. It does not sound like an education institute but more like scam business.
Updated: I sent an e-mail provided, no response. I think it is just their way of saying "I responded" but not really. Called the headquarter office about 100 time, "No one available". So no one is working???
What the c2 Center Director verbally promises does not match what is lurking beneath the legal jargon of the contract. My Center Director KNOWS she promised us our hours would never expire when we signed our initial contract. I have her admission recorded. She further states in the recording that it was a well known company wide policy that contract expiration dates would not be enforced and hours would never expire. Center Directors have no integrity and neither does upper management as now they're suddenly enforcing contract dates! Don't be surprised if c2 centers continue to close down, one by one, and they are sued or forced to declare bankruptcy. For anyone considering signing a contract, be warned. Read the fine print and do your research! c2 is quick to take your money, but once it's theirs, RETENTION and REFERRALS become top priority, not your child's educational goals.
Their diagnostic tests are not official College Board or ACT exams. They're actually designed by c2 to make your child appear stupid so you panic and they can prescribe that you buy an exorbitant package of hours to remedy your child's perceived academic deficits.
c2 Directors are actually salespeople disguised as college admissions consultants. Fact check their credentials.
Once you sign and pay, the c2 Director will demand your child comes in 4-6 hours per week. This way, you'll hurry up and burn through your hours and then buy another expensive package of hours before their "special promotion" ends. Retention of current students (extending YOUR contract) and having YOU RECRUIT new students for them through referrals is how c2 Centers make their profit. Plus Center Directors get nice bonuses if they reach their revenue targets. Cha-Ching!
Current families who recruit new c2 families and/or write 5 Star reviews on social media will receive compensation in the form of bonus hours or giftcards so DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE. Nothing genuine or altruistic is going on here.
Check out the uncompensated & candid/1 star reviews here and the ones on the Better Business Bureau (Grade: F, Unaccredited), Reddit, and Quora.
Update: I sent an email to their customer support detailing how c2 deceptively terminated my "unexpired" (paid in full, upfront) hours. No surprise: it fell on deaf ears at the highest level. Their automated replies to customer complaints is a testament to their lack of care. c2 has no conscience much like the fellow who offers to help an elderly lady cross the street but steals her purse instead. They'll say anything to make a sale.
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and my State's Attorney General's Consumer Protection office. I hope to spare other families from being swindled by c2. If you were also duped by c2, please share your experience with TrustPilot, the BBB, consumer protection agencies, and Yelp. Warn your family and friends!

I had an information meeting with the director and coordinator. They gave me the amount for the hours needed for my daughter. I told them I had to speak to my daughter’s father to make a decision. They told me I was able to apply for a loan so when I did make a decision I would be ready. I did not receive a contract with terms and conditions but they charged the amount to the loan. They told me my daughter would not be able to start until I signed a contract. I was never presented with a contract. They emailed my daughter’s schedule and at that time I told them I was never presented with a contract. After I told them I had not signed a contract but I was charged for the full amount. They proceeded to emailed me a contract. I told them I was no longer interested since I no longer felt like they were running an honest business. I asked for them to refund the loan. The director responded with an offer to give us additional hours for the inconvenience. At this time I informed him I was not interested. My daughter has not received services. The credit card told me to give them 15 days to receive a refund. I called today and they informed me a refund has not been initiated. I emailed the director once again and no answer. I’ve been trying to contact someone else but there is no customer service number. They are fast to respond when they are trying to sell you their services but now they are silent. Worse experience I’ve had with any business.

Phenomenal experience in Millburn NJ. Tutors are so patient and knowledgeable. The director is always available as well. Excellent choice for us.
I went here for SAT tutoring, and one of the tutors, Yujie Ling, berated me and asked, “WHETHER I WAS BORN IN THIS COUNTRY?” Even while working with different tutors, I found it hard to concentrate due to his constant yelling. I spoke with other students, and they had similar experiences with Yujie. I immediately complained to the center director and contacted C2’s corporate office.
Their customer support email does not work. You always get an error message back. I emailed C2 executives but was ignored. I finally got a response from one of them years later with a one-liner email “thanking me for my feedback.” 😂
Surprised to see that Yujie supposedly still works here. I guess this type of behavior is acceptable to C2. These people don't care. C2 and its center directors only care about money/meeting sales targets. It even says this in the center director’s job description.
The teaching at C2 is very subpar. Each tutor has 3 students, and each student is working on entirely different things. Students would sit doing bookwork, and the tutor would check the answers. Rinse and repeat. It was common to see tutors on their phones or talking with others.
I can’t say I learned anything at C2. I did just fine on the SAT and got into a good university. To all the folks thinking about enrolling here — don’t. Don't fall for the sweet talk the center director gives you to sign up. You’re better off using free online resources rather than paying thousands of your hard-earned money to go to C2.

C2 is very untrustworthy! I was hesitant about enrolling my child. The director told me that he would add 10 extra hours and that the hours would never expire. He even said that I could save some hours for when my younger child gets to high school in a couple of years. Almost a year after signing up, I am told that my remaining hours will be terminated a year from the date of signing the contract. The previous director did NOT say anything about hours expiring. He specifically said that the hours would never expire. Very shady business tactic! Upper management takes no responsibility!
Update: I emailed the customer service at the address left on their reply to my review. Still no response a month later! C2 does not care at all about the unscrupulous business practices of their center directors. Their customer service replies are all show. I have lost thousands of dollars because I was lied to when signing up. No one should entrust their child’s future to a company so untrustworthy.

We bought many hours on C2 as they said I could use it for all my kids. Last year they terminated all my hours without telling me. Now when I went to use for my other kid, they are not renewing those hours. Very shady business. Should be sued.

C2 runs an unscrupulous business out of germantown, Maryland. The manager is highly deceptive and the deception goes all the way up to the top.
before you sign any contracts, please have them reviewed by a lawyer. Also, pay close attention to the refund policies. The teaching is sub par. There are some good teachers but they are hard to get appointments with. The books provided are OK. Thats it. My recommendation: Don't spend money on C2.if you plan to, be careful because the they are completely unscrupulous. Don't fall for the sweet talk.

Not happy. I paid for classes for my daughter, and it was not cheap. They explained that the would accommodate her schedule between school and competitive Diving. For the most part, things were consistent and rescheduling was accommodated. However, there was a change in staff and I literally had several texts and calls from various people ver the past few months to try and schedule my daughter for her classes. One person would schedule her, then another would call me and ask the same questions about her availability and then the schedule would be messed up and I would get another call from yet another person to schedule her. I don't know how many times I have texted and called with her dive schedule only to have someone ask me again and change what day or time she was supposed to be there. Now I have 5 hours left and I cannot get anything scheduled. For a few months now I have been trying to use these hours for her college essays. It is pointless after October.
Alot of money and many scheduling issues with classes full. How about accommodating those who already paid first. Not happy. I lost money and my daughter is losing out with help.

We have been long-standing clients of C2 Education's La Crescenta branch and initially had good experiences, mainly due to the quality of the teachers. However, our recent experience under the management of Center Director Maggie Lee has been deeply disappointing. Despite paying for 6 classes with specific goals in mind, the center diverged from our objectives. Maggie Lee's unprofessional behavior added to our frustrations.
We were promised two free classes to make amends, but even this was not honored; the second free class was abruptly canceled without any notification. If you're considering using their service, please be aware that while the teachers may be skilled, the unprofessionalism and lack of accountability from the Center Director could seriously undermine your experience.
