Slow slow slow

They somehow are ''experiencing a high volume of calls'' for the last 6 months that I have called. There's no way you will get ahold of a human over the phone if you don't wait for 30minutes minimum. Their customer service email address used to respond within 24 hours for a few years, now since a year ago, they take a minimum of 1-2 weeks to answer the simplest of questions. Absolutely horrible, not sure what changed over there but take your business to FHC instead.

Stay away from CRL…

Instructions are terrible and incomplete. Wrong track came. They admited they were aware of the problem but sent the wrong track that was made incorrectly anyway. They promised to overnight it. They didn't. It came a week later. Height demensions were wrong. Had to modify the sill guide to make it work.
Over priced for the quality an Customer Service.

I recomend buying from Anyone else and avoid CRL at any cost!

Very poor customer service!

I purchased CRL Shower Door hardware for our custom glass shower. My kit was missing 4 screws that were suppose to be included when used with 3/8" glass. All the CRL rep (Perla) wanted to do was argue about the missing screws. She also stated that "CRL is not responsible for any purchases that bought from another company". I can't believe that a company as bis as CRL would give a customer a hassle over 4 screws worth about $2.00! I will never purchase another CRL product! CRL's customer service sucks, big time!

Should be 0 stars

Should be 0 stars. Absolute cowboys. CRL happy to use/promote unrated insurer which is just reckless. Since Alpha insurance went under I shudder to think how much CRL have pocketed in the overinflated 'surveys & admin' fees that they deduct before the return of unused premiums. £150 back but had to fork out another 2k to a new provider. When I used their official complaints procedure CRL sent me what I consider a rude, condescending and unhelpful response. CRL even had the brass neck to write me a letter offering to find me a new insurer now I don't have cover!
I have taken the matter to the FOS but they are really struggling to get anywhere with this.
I really can't understand how CRL have managed to cover themselves within the law.

Complete con men CRL

Complete con men CRL, now I've been pushed to Peacock Ark policy.
Impossible to sell house with this latent defect policy as most banks do not recognise Ark!
What a complete con latent defect policies are.
I'm now stuck with no re course.
I'm a self build purchaser and am right in the s%%t because of these dodgy policies.

My first build to find out that the money paid has been lost. No refund and it turns out they pocketed the money and did not direct any internal staff to pass this onto any 3rd party. They should be totally ashamed

CRL are an appauling company

CRL are an appauling company to deal with
We purchased 20 new build structural defects policies with them for a new development
The insurer went bankrupt within 41 days of our policy commencement and CRL do not want to know
They have washed their hands of the whole thing yet retained
£16,000 of our premium for nothing
Do not deal with them, they promised to source an alternative and we have not heard from them in 18 months
We have had to purchase 20 new policies with another company
The say on line that they are doing everything possible to support their customers effected, we have not received any support from them and our "dedicated point of contact" does not want to know !

The company i work for had taken 25 CRL insurances on 25 units at well over £25,000 expense. Only to be told upon collapse only approximately £8,500 actually was for the insurance and the rest was for "administration and surveys". I have it in writing absolutely no surveys were carried out. So thats approx £16,500 administration fees.

Why are these fraudsters not being investigated?

CRL SHAMBLES.

With Ark transferred over to peacock & they trying to apply extra fees for missing paperwork which CRL hold. Apparently CRL director is: Mr Steven Mansour. Still shows on LinkdInn as director. Has loads of companies of which many are dissolved. Someone needs to answer for this instead of hiding. Why is CRL website still ongoing? Take Responsibility CRL & Mr Steven Mansour. At least give us some answers & be honest.
On the other hand, Peacock Insurance need to be more sympathetic & help customers of CRL instead of making them go round in circles.

Shocking company

Shocking company, cowards hiding behind the phones when Aplha went under.
Interested to see to review below was reported by CRL mentioning that Compariqo have nothing to do with CRL. I received a flyer through my door last week from CRL endorsing Compariqo for retrospective insurance. They were even so kind as to give me a reinstatement value for my home! Id be happy to upload if I could.
It will catch up with them some day....

I should have gone with my gut feeling…

I should have gone with my gut feeling and used Premier Guarantees but I was informed CRL were a reputable company on my self build. Communication was bad from day 1 (2016) I then found out by accident in November 2018 that Alpha had gone under in May 2018.I had paid extra for more visits by building control to both parties two lots of membership fees which totalled about 5k.No help from anyone just had to get another 10yr warranty at 13k (after completion ) as house had to be sold. They too tried guiding me to Ark insurance and Compariqo so glad I did not the worse part was no communication at all.STAY WELL AWAY

Just wow!

I have never dealt with a company so dishonest in all of my life. Took premium from me 3 days before they went into administration and I have since found that of the money the took from me only 2,500 was for the insurance, the remaining 5,330 was for "administration" and "surveys" - they have complete no admin nor have they completed any surveys and when I make contact with CRL for a refund she refers me to Ark who havent event took any money from me and do not know anything of the 5,330. Keep away from Compariqo too - they are run by the same criminals. The employees must be getting a kick back if they can go into the office each day to earn an "honest" living! Save yourself the trouble and stay away!!!

So far not a penny back, I understand we may get our premium back that I estimate less than £1000! So where did all the other money go??? Crl never actually answered that question (they kept it)
Do not anyone even go with them, they are evil

We bought a £4,000 building insurance…

We bought a £4,000 building insurance policy for a new build from CRL and in January 2017 found out the day we were due to exchange on our mortgage that Alpha had gone bust.

We had to purchase a new warranty for £5,000 to complete the mortgage.

Having done everything we were told to do by CRL and the FSCS, today we received a cheque for the grand sum of £710.24.

So deeply dissapointed and left with a balance of over £4,000 on a credit card I now can't afford to pay off. This seems incredibly unjust.

Peacock who are handling registration / administration of CRL have been amazing 5 stars...All info re-sent and insurance promptly issued by underwriters. Also clearly pointed in right direction for claiming back premiums from CRL. An awful experience with CRL who acted disgracefully since Alpha went bust.

We also had a Building insurance…

We also had a Building insurance through CRL which was Alpha, when they contacted us they said they had exhausted all possibilities and couldn't find a new insurer for us ( we didn't even know Alpha had gone bust for a year and CRL said this was because they were try to find new insurance) what a load of rubbish.
Today we have received a letter from CRL stating that they can now insure the structure under Compariqo.
Having read peoples comments on this Company I will stay clear of them, how on earth are they allowed to just carry on taking money under the guise of being trustworthy.
Thankyou Trustpilot and your reviewers.
