Buyback surgeon made it easy to ship to them, and track the process of where they were at looking at my phone. Once they had assured it was working and perfect they sent the money through PayPal efficiently. Thankful I was able to track the process which made it easier for me to know where my phone was.

I had an issue with a device I sold them and basically a condition dispute. I did not like that they dinged it for a little dust. The phone was stellar but they sent images with dust. Anyway... The owner reached out and asked me to call him. I did and we spit the difference - a reasonable solution.

Be aware if you select Paypal for the payment you will pay a fee. Truly BuyBack Surgeon NEEDS TO PAY THESE COSTS or alternatively remove it as an option.

I had a great experience selling my IPhone 13 max to Buyback Surgeon. I was a little skeptical at first selling to a third party company but they make the whole process super easy! You just answer a few questions and they give you a quote, send you the pre paid shipping label and ask that it’s received within 14 days. I was actually slightly worried that I would be out of the 14 day period because I wasn’t able to ship it right away. It didn’t seem to be an issue and communication was great. They let me know when it was received and then with just a few days I was notified that my Amazon gift card had been sent. I was able to get double the amount for my phone vs what Apple would have given me! Next up we’re selling our old Apple Watches and I’ll for sure be giving Buyback Surgeon my business once again.

Super easy! I traded in a broken phone that was “recycle only” for most places. The few that offered anything were all lower than Buyback Surgeon. After it was shipped as received, they sent the payment the next day. Very happy and satisfied! I will definitely use them again in the future.

However, I am leaving this review up because the experience was the opposite of the hassle-free sale I expected. I understand that buyers and sellers can have honest disagreements about the quality of used goods. But downgrading an offer by a whole $100 for imperceptible wear (which looked like dust) does not feel like a grading re-evaluation in good faith. It feels like an attempt to squeeze a customer who has already mailed in their device.

The fact that the original offer was reinstated so quickly after I pushed back—and after the owner called me at 5:00 AM and texted repeatedly to change this review—confirms that the initial price drop was likely a tactic rather than a genuine assessment. I chose this service over Facebook Marketplace to avoid haggling, but I ended up having to fight for the agreed-upon price anyway

ORIGINAL: After I went through the hassle of mailing them my phone, instead of the agreed $370, they suggested $270 because they didn't consider the phone flawless. The photo they had as evidence SHOWED DUST ON THE PHONE SCREEN. It's a typical scam, they always pretend to find something wrong with the phone, lowball you and hope you accept.

So many people have messaged me on Facebook Marketplace I'd already have my cash if I'd just sold it there.
