Must buy

I am a DIY enthusiast and I have changed so many locks in my life.

I have found the ABS AVOCET to work well, to be reliable and to look well made. They have a competitive price if bought on Ebay.

My first ABS lock is 11 years old and still works perfectly.

They are certified with the highest level of safety although this technology has been around for many years and is not any more cutting hedge. There are more secure options but the improvement is not massive, the price is! I have found a website selling a tool to specifically pick ABS locks.

Highly recommended for your house or flat.

Had new upvc door fitted with avocet lock, key broke after only 3 months. Told by avocet just to purchase a replacement key. Not happy with quality or customer service.

"Premium" product and within one year the the thumb turn is sticking and difficult to lock/unlock (i have removed it from the door to check that the door is not at fault, and the problem persists). Customer services are happy to check it over if i simply buy myself a new one and send mine back to them. I am told "There are several possible explanations not all of which put the cylinder at fault." implying i am somehow to blame. Rather annoying since i fitted all of the doors on my house with this product.

I was convinced by a locksmith to buy this product when I changed my front door lock 2 years ago. In that time, we have had to purchase 6 replacement keys at £30 each because the cheap plastic bit at the top of the key regularly breaks. It is ridiculous and unsustainable. Don't buy it.

I bought three Avocet ABS locks a couple of years ago. The lock on the front door has broken in that a piece of the lock around 1cm in length has come lose and fallen off. The entire EXT section _hasn't_ snapped off as designed to do when attacked its just a smaller barrel shaped bit has come out. It hasn't been attacked and in fact nothing actually seems broken but its not clear how to put it back together again.

The reason for my poor review is that I purchased this lock with a Manufacturer Guarantee. Now they don't want to know. They won't consider repairing or replacing and ask me to go back to the retailer. The reailier is on their approved list but they ask me to go back to the manufacturer..... (!)

So unless I can be bothered filing a small claim I will have to buy a new lock keyed to the same as the other locks we bought.

Avocet isn't the cheapest brand. Their lock should not fall apart with normal wear and tear and they should provide better customer service than this.

Lots of options (size, colour, key colour, suites, etc) so I was able to buy exactly what I wanted. My order arrived nicely packed within 2 days. Very good service.

Eurocylinder lock appears to meet all the security requirements; delivery was quick and fitting was easy with clear instructions provided.

Excellent service, quick efficient delivery, would highly recommend.

The locks and the padlock feel top quality, I would buy again from them.
My only observation is that the plastic bit on the top of the keys feels cheap, would love a completely metallic key. Gave 5 stars because overall is a great product.

Prompt and efficient service.
Quick turnaround and delivery. No problems.

Great service and quality euro cylinders ordered arrived in a couple of days will be using again 👍

I purchased 3 “keyed alike” locks from ABS locks and they arrived the next day. The order was accurate, and they all worked perfectly.

3 months later, I thought I had a problem with one of the locks sticking, and when I reported it to ABS they immediately sent me a replacement free of charge (which was made to fit my exiting key). They did not require me first to return the first lock, which was great as I would have been unable to lock my back door. When I fitted it, it became clear that the original lock had been working perfectly, and it was my own door furniture that needed oiling. (So I simply paid for the replacement and kept it as a spare)

Highly recommend these locks, they are top quality and the service I received was very good. The only slight oddity is that as the keys have magnets in them, occasionally 5p coins stick to them in your pocket!

Needed 3 extra ABS Keys cut to code. The job was done quickly and the keys arrived in perfect order and in good time. Only negative feeback was cost of postage - set at 20 Pound for all international orders even though my package was small (3 keys). Also, I had no idea the job had dispatched and no tracking number provided.

Prompt service and delivery. Excellent customer service, however took website contact function and two emails to get a response.

great product ,great delivery , will buy from them again.

Great Company, first class service and very security minded.

The keys were a very gold fit at a great price and quick to be delivered.
