My visit to their location was met with a friendly hello, how may I help you today approach. Avondale was there to take care of my request and did so with knowledge, efficiency and helpful suggestions. Her product knowledge is great, and she had my order taken care of in very short order. Thanks for the great service, it's very much appreciated!

I ordered a pair of navy blue kilt hose from Burnett's & Struth and was initially impressed with how quickly they arrived. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The hose I received did not resemble the color shown on their website. Whether I was sent the wrong pair or the photo was just misleading, I’ll never know—because there was zero communication, clarification, or apology from the company.

The real issue? Their complete lack of customer service. Despite the color discrepancy, they refused to provide a return label. I had to pay $26 out of pocket to return the hose via Canada Post, since I don’t have a discounted business account like they presumably do. Still needing the right color, I ordered a second pair—this time paying another $18 for shipping on that order.

Here’s what I ended up spending:

• $69.95 for the original hose

• $18 shipping from them (first order)

• $26 return shipping from me

• $18 shipping from them again (second order)

That’s $62 in shipping fees for one pair of hose. And not a single effort from Burnett's & Struth to make it right—no apology, no store credit, no return label, nothing. Just silence.

This is not how you treat customers, especially in such a niche market. Given how few options there are in Canada, I really wanted to support a local business—but after this experience, I’ll be ordering directly from Scotland from now on.

Burnett’s & Struth lost a customer for life, and I’ll be warning others. A premium price should come with premium service. This was anything but.

Good service and fast delivery. Supports answered questions. The order was delivered in 4 days.

I ordered on line a Tartan Tie Cameron on a Sunday night on line. I received it in the post on Tuesday morning before noon. The service was quick efficient from start to finish. Will continue to shop with Burnett and Struth. Long time customer who has always been pleased with services now and in the past.

I ordered an item for a gift and asked for it to be shipped to the recipient. When I got the notification for the shipment, the label had been created with the order to come to me, but it had the recipient's phone number.
I called the store and fortunately, the order had not yet been picked up by the delivery service and they were able to correct it.

Definitely shop with Burnetts Struth. Their customer service is above and beyond and the quality is exceptional.

I needed kilt hose for a wedding. I have large calves and Burnett's & Struth had no problem accommodating me with Harris hose. They're well made, comfortable, and a deep green that compliments my tartan. The shipping was prompt and I'm very happy with my purchase

The Officer's Sgian Dubh was the original military multi-tool, first commissioned for use in the Crimean War!

Not only is this Sgian Dubh very well made, but is also fully functional. The only knock on the knife is the poorly inlaid 48th Highlanders crest, that's it.

Oh, I hope that in the future Burnetts Struth offers the plain Officer's Sgian Dubh, sans any crest.
