Nick is not just a exceptional luthier but also a highly skilled artist. Having badly chipped my les Paul I had resigned myself to it never reclaiming its former glory. Nick refinished it in a custom tiger burst and I cannot tell you how incredible it looks. Gibson themselves could not have done a better job and this was a fraction of the price. He has taken a stock les paul and turned it into a family heirloom. So glad to have found burman guitars. This will now be my go-to for all things guitar.

I have a Telecaster that I purchased in 1976 for £200, I hadn’t played it for at least 25 years due to damage caused by my young nephew at the time and general wear and tear. Nick did a great job of repairing the damage and general refurbishment…It feels like meeting up with an old friend…the guitar I played in my very first band! Would recommend the service Nick provides without hesitation.

I sent my tele style home build to Burman guitars twice in 2025, first for a neck reset then later on for a rewire of its 4way circuit. I also recommended Nick to my brother who needed a fretless bass setting up. Nicks work is first class, great communication and the quick turnaround meant I got my guitar back for Christmas. What a treat. Sadly I didn't meet Nick in person, could be a positive because I know I'd have come away coveting his sola guitar even more.

I commissioned him to craft a Sola guitar from his collection, customizing it with my preferred colors, pickups, and wood types. The result was an exquisite guitar, entirely handcrafted by Nick, that's irresistible to play. Throughout the process, he kept me informed with consistent updates. Owning a Burman guitar uniquely tailored to me fills me with great pride!

I was recommend to Nick Burman after my new guitar suffered a Nitro burn in the hot weather we had. Nick made an excellent job of repairing it and kept me informed of its progress. It know looks like it was when new.

First I took my Fender Stratocaster to Nick to be set up and have new lighter gauge strings put on - I then purchased a Harley Benton Telecaster and wanted the same work done plus new locking tuners installed. In both cases Nick did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. Nick was very friendly / professional and knowlegeable and I would not hesitate to recommend his services.

This is the 2nd time I've taken one of my guitars to Nick. This time it was my first guitar, an epiphone that hadn't been played for nearly 20 years and needed some TLC. Nick has done a great job of bringing it back to life and I feel like I've just bought a new guitar! Great price and service

Nick repaired a much loved classical guitar and finished a stalled home project of building an electric guitar for me. He did an amazing job on both jobs and I would highly recommend. Lovely chap too.

Last year, I purchased a Fender 50's Vintera Stratocaster as a 50th Birthday present to self. The guitar has a lovely tone, but I discovered it had annoying string buzz across the fret board.
I tried a guitar technician in Norwich twice! but was not happy with the results. I was getting frustrated with the guitar and then I remembered Burman Guitars. After meeting Nick at his workshop, he carried out a setup on my Strat. The guitar now feels and plays fantastic. All done at an affordable price. Nick was so polite, knowledgeable and helpful. I also got to see and try one of his stunning custom guitars! Highly Recommended.

I had an old fender Stratocaster that over the years had been slowly misaligning and in need of a set up.

I found Nick from a respectable local shop and took a punt.

Nick is a highly skilled luthier with an eye for detail. I asked him to make me one of his Sola guitars from his range with my own tweaks on colour, pickups and choice of woods. I received a beautiful guitar that is hard to put down totally hand built by just Nick himself. I also got regular updates on the build at all stages. I feel very proud to now own my very own Burman guitar!

Nick set up my Maton SRS70c that I bought just before lock-down. He did an excellent job and it sounds like a new guitar! I couldn’t put it down for nearly two hours after bringing it home. Highly recommended! Thanks Nick

Great friendly service! Having a few worn out frets replaced and a set up has made my beloved Yamaha Acoustic, play and sound better than ever! Am really chuffed! Nick, has also promptly repaired my Bass allowing the show to go on!

Nick very kindly took my Takamine 12 string that needed a lot of tweaking to get even playable. Just a few weeks later it’s as good as new. The action is spot on frets polished fretboard treated and everything is explained and broken down. Extremely friendly softly spoken genius! Will be back most definitely! Thank you!
