All info is behind a pay wall.

The link said that the basic info was free. It took it's time loading all the info on the car and of course when I went to read the info it came to a pay wall. So it's not free after all.

Great price & protected us from unscrupulous sellers!

Bumper was very well priced and the reports generated were easy to read and full of details as we searched for my sons first car. Bumper spared us from sellers claiming clean titles! when in fact, in 3 instances sellers claimed only two owners, no accidents, etc...the cars had been salvaged/rebuilt and not disclosed! Do your due diligence and consider using Bumper...

Do not use this app or website. Innacurate, no support and tricky trial periods nearly impossible to cancel…

The information is often either " no information" or wrong. No theft records when the police verify the cars are stolen .no support, impossible to cancel, no.live or chat help. All around poor quality app.

Didn't work but gave me a refund

Put in the vin on a 1970 dodge challenger for 99 cents.
Results came back saying it was a 2007 Honda. and they they charged me 28 bucks for not cancelling membership. I thought the trial was to see if you wanted a membership.
A 30 second search on mopar forum told me everything I needed and this site failed to get one single thing correct. Hoping to get my money back

EDIT: They actually made the process pretty easy to get a refund.

Found where my car was bought, and where it went

I found some issues with rust on my Buick, Bumper informed me that my car was from the north east. Their customer service was excellent regarding some billing issues.

Your ability to locate a specific vehicle in our database can be dependent on a number of factors, such as the amount of information collected on that vehicle by government agencies, insurance records and industry sources. Additionally, our data includes vehicles after 1981 when the standard 17-digit VIN was created. Automobiles, motorcycles, trucks and buses may contain vehicle history records. Unfortunately, we don't have history reports for RVs, motorhomes and tractors.

CONFIRMED CANCELATION — then they charged me anyway. Documented fraud.

On July 16, I emailed Bumper support to cancel a $27.99 charge, quoting the cancellation confirmation number (628625741). I explicitly stated that I did not authorize this transaction and required written confirmation that it would not be processed.

They replied saying the refund was “on its way.” I even removed my Trustpilot review, giving them the benefit of the doubt.

And what did they do? They processed the charge anyway.

This is not a misunderstanding — this is willful deception. You don’t send a refund confirmation, reassure the customer, and then charge their card behind their back.

⚠️ This company operates in bad faith. If you’re reading this:

✅ Document everything.

✅ Don’t remove your review.

✅ Initiate a chargeback immediately.

✅ Report them to Apple Pay / your bank / consumer protection agencies.

You only get fooled once. After that, it’s war.

There are nothing but cunning and not…

There are nothing but cunning and not customer friendly. Their website does not have an option to delete your account nor the card details stating it as default payment. Do not take their subscription, you will be charged $27.99 every month though they market the $1 for 7 days. I remember I cancelled the subscription right after I viewed my car report and then yet they charged me for 2 months. Gladly I noticed and now I don't want anyone to be scammed the way I was. Be cautious of them.
