Not designed to make you meet people, just a money grabbing scheme

There's me thinking it will be designed to help people meet. Actually its designed to make both parties not able to communicate. I paid for the lifetime package as 6 months was only a bit cheaper, so that wad £170 ish. What I have found after speaking to some womem, is that the men pay gor it and women dont! If i send a like, lots of women say they cant see likes! If i wanted to send a message, that costs extra so you will have to pay per message on top of your subscription. Really what is happening, is bumble is taking advantage of poor desperate men, making a subscription almost useless, its just a money making scheme. My experience of using it thats its got a constant undercurrent of, here pay more.

You go through the trouble of building…

You go through the trouble of building a profile... Adding pics, personal information and then when someone likes you the pics are blurred out and the only way to see and respond to them is to upgrade your account. And it's too expensive!!! I think it's better to join Meetup groups.

i've been using dating apps off and on…

i've been using dating apps off and on for 20 years and the entire industry took a nosedive around 2022. not sure why. but bumble is probably the least terrible of the options these days. especially in terms of the price gouging across the industry, they are the least exorbitant. but really none of these companies deserve our business. we should be using the many nonprofit dating apps that exist.

just deleted my account..

just deleted my account... this site is run by leftist... i filed 5 complains ( ALL IGNORED) about things being said on profiles about our president and conservatives, no Maga for alot of the profiles.. the last straw was a qoute " death death to the IDF" I reported it and they came back and said no action. now i think a dating site should not be political OR have death threats on it . this site has alot of fake profiles on it. I would not use this... and its too expensive.. no good filtering of profiles either.

Premium user blocked without warning, proof, or refund

I was a paying Bumble Premium user and my experience has been extremely disappointing.

My account was permanently blocked immediately after phone number verification, without any prior warning or explanation. Bumble accused me of breaching their Community Guidelines, yet repeatedly refused to specify which guideline was allegedly violated, what exact behavior constituted the violation, or to provide any evidence whatsoever.

I carefully reviewed their Community Guidelines myself and can say with full confidence that I did not engage in any prohibited behavior. I did not request money, did not copy or automate messages, did not misrepresent myself, and communicated only minimally and normally. Despite this, my account was terminated without any form of due process.

As a direct result of this unexplained block, my paid Bumble Premium subscription was cancelled and a refund was refused. All communication with Bumble Support consisted only of generic template responses that avoided addressing the substance of my complaint.

This experience raises serious concerns about how Bumble treats paying customers. Making serious accusations without proof, denying access to a paid service, and refusing transparency or accountability is unacceptable. Premium users should not be treated as disposable or denied basic explanations when money is involved.

If you are considering Bumble Premium, be aware that your account can be permanently blocked without evidence or clarification, and you may lose access to a paid service with no meaningful recourse.

Proceed with caution.

They don’t teach men to swipe left and…

They don’t teach men to swipe left and women get garbage on matches. When you report a problem, instead of fixing it, they would much rather teach you to use the app their way. They don’t care about connections. It’s all about business for them.

no care for potential users

Have an issue with making an account? Or any issue in general? Good luck getting customer service. Its bots and automation all the way down. Absolutely zero regard for people seeking support for technical issues

My matches stop responding

My matches stop responding. This is a common trend on Bumble. They don't want you to find love. Instead they weaponize it against you. They'll have someone message you to keep you hooked and paying but they'll stop randomly. Or, you might get to the phone stage and that person disappears on you as well. Those are their employees. You'll see them with their success stories as you're swiping. Another way to convince you that it's going to happen, you'll find your true love. That couldn't be further from the truth. This site pushes you to verify yourself and 95% of your matches are unverified. Make it make sense! A waste of time, effort and money. Take heed to this message and save yourself the headaches.

⭐☆☆☆☆unresponsive, hostile, and rude.

⭐☆☆☆☆

Bumble terminated and banned my account without providing **any reason or explanation whatsoever**. I am a **paid subscriber**, yet my account was shut down abruptly and I lost the money I paid with no refund or justification.

Customer service has been **unresponsive, hostile, and rude**. There has been zero effort to communicate what rule I supposedly violated or to offer any meaningful appeal process. I did **nothing wrong**, and to this day I still don’t know why my account was closed.

This kind of **mob-like policing** is completely unacceptable. We are adults, not children, and paid customers deserve transparency and basic respect. If Bumble is going to ban users, they should at least have the professionalism to explain why and provide due process.

Ironically, the members I interacted with were great and I had no issues with anyone on the platform. The problem is entirely with Bumble’s **arbitrary enforcement and terrible customer service**.

Very disappointing experience. I would strongly caution anyone considering paying for this service.

Child Endangerment / Abuse of Men / Harassment by Staff / Inconsistent Moderation

***URGENT UPDATE***
Child Endangerment: Images of minor children not fully clothed in multiple profiles.

***UPDATE***
In light of the recent data breach and other claims against Bumble, I thought it would be worth noting that, I can personally confirm (with evidence if necessary) that BLOCKED profiles are in fact being recycled. Contradicting their statements that, "If you block a user, or even LEFT swipe them, they will not reappear." Two such women's profile names are "G" and "Mint." Which I also find unusual, because Bumble has a rule that you're supposed to use your REAL name, and why I no longer use Sterbende on there. I was actually scolded by them for that.

***UPDATE #2***
Within 24 hours of writing the above update, my account was warned for "sexually harassing" another member, though I have not interacted with a single person in a long time. Bumble’s legal department has been put on notice regarding the lack of evidence for this warning. Under California’s CPRA, I am entitled to the metadata. Since I have sent zero messages, they have zero data. Their AI isn't just failing—it’s being used to commit character assassination.

***UPDATE #3***
You're going to love this, an email apology from a manager with Bumble I received today, for the above false accusation.

{
Hello,

I’m one of the managers here at Bumble who has been assigned to your outreach.

You spoke with me before about your profile wrongly being flagged in past instances.

I left a note to the team to only escalate any concerns to a manager. This did not happen here and for that I am truly sorry. I will take this up with the appropriate staff members.

Upon a careful, further review, I've determined that your account was mistakenly warned, and I sincerely apologize for this oversight.

While we strive to keep Bumble a fun, friendly, and, most importantly, safe place to connect, sometimes mistakes happen. I apologize for any concern or confusion this may have caused.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if there's anything else I can do.

}

This is a mistake they routinely make with me, because I'm non-conformist, and don't meet visual metrics. I'm sure a lot of you are having the same issue with Bumble and other dating apps. AI can be the end of all of us, if we're not careful. It could also be our best friend and ally. My daughter has a degree in animation, an industry destroyed by AI, making her degree useless today.

I removed my dream at the bottom of this review to make space for the following statement:

I'm disabled (currently a dependent with IHSS support, and I'd desperately like for this to change, but systemic neglect has made it impossible). I was hurt a long time ago, and that left permanent scars. More recently, I suffered a very serious anterior spinal lumbar hernia at L4-L5. As a result, I'm dealing with C-PTSD, neuropathy in my hands and legs, and several other systemic complications. I can't get out and do things, or meet people organically on my own without help. I don't have a social life outside my home as a result of my illnesses. So, do you people honestly think I'm going out of my way to harass others over the internet, my only form of social interaction? No, that would be suicide, and I have a right to be happy, just like all of you. Just because I'm disabled and socioeconomically challenged, doesn't mean I'm a deadbeat scrub, and it doesn't mean I put myself in my situation. I didn't get here by making bad choices—which oddly, is an opinion shared by a lot of very nasty, bigoted Americans.

This is a hostile environment for men, disguised as empowerment for women (mostly controlling women).

Two of the biggest complaints women have with men on dating apps are:
• Lack of Effort (This actually goes both directions, and I can provide massive evidence for your viewing pleasure, if you like.)
• Broke (Are you kidding me? We lose half our assets and all our money when our relationships end.)

If you're successful and all, why does your partner have to have money? This part is easy, and most miss it. The independence (self-sufficiency) most are wanting today, is not for balance, it's to have one foot out the door, because they don't expect the relationship to last, or they're unwilling to put in the effort to make it last. The fact is, we could both have all the money in the world today, and lose it all tomorrow. COVID taught people this hard lesson, but some are still learning. If people really want relationships to last, reprogramming is necessary. Interdependence (weaving strengths and weaknesses into something bigger) keeps relationships together, not independence. If any part of a whole body are off doing their own thing, then the machine doesn't work. The individual pieces of a clock don't function on their own to keep time, they work together.

Scammers

I wish I had read all these negative reviews before signing up. After 1 day of using I decided to pay for 1 week premium subscription. When I saw the app is worthless I decided to cancel my subscription. Since I couldn't find the subscription in Play Store app I contacted Google to cancel my subscription. Interestingly enough suddenly I got blocked due to scam and theft. I hardly used the app for 2 days and in this period I didn't write a single word to anyone; no contacts with anyone at all. Luckily since I had paid via Google I could receive full refund. Never had experienced another app that scam customers this way
