John from Buildspect slagged me off in an email then accidentally sent it to my husband. He is arrogant and in our opinion is terrible at his job. He likes to waste time (and your money) by loosing documents and rerequesting them and asking the same questions over and over even after being given the info in writing. Rip off. Avoid. Use someone professional instead

Great company to deal with from the very start from general inspection report to providing detailed expert report for the defects for vcat purposes. Glen was very understanding about our situation we were in regarding the defects and we did not have much time left with builders warranty. I'm an Owners Corporation Manager for a building in Camberwell (along Seymour Grove) and have been dealing with Liz Coghlan and Glenn Edwards.
Both have been fantastic to deal with and Glenn has been an incredible help for myself and the Owners Corporation who are trying to get on top of building defects before the building warranty expires. The main identified issue has been water ingress to the basement (concrete) car park and Glenn has been a wealth of knowledge.
I've been using Buildspect for a while and this is why!

We engaged Buildspect to review a building for defects and to respond to a building notice. Communication was prompt and the report was delivered ahead of the due date and under budget.

When there was a part of the inspection that was accidentally not undertaken, they returned to complete the inspection at no extra cost.

The key issue that we encountered was that on one invoice we were double charged for a substantial line item. This was only uncovered when I went through the invoice and compared it to previous invoices. However, this was quickly rectified when I raised this.

Nick Warton who conducted the inspection was efficient and great to work with.

My dealings to date with Buildspect have been excellent. The communication and assistance with my requirements form Liz (whom was my initial contact) has been most helpful. Michael whom conducted the inspection was very personable, knowledgeable and professional in all aspects. He was also precise and clear with answers that I sought regarding my questions. Every part of my interactions with Buildspect has been extremely professional and prompt. From the ease of booking to the regular updates and genuine willingness of their team to ensure that my property was sound and to building code. They have been extremely helpful in sourcing material suppliers to assist with rectifying building defects and advising on next steps. As someone who does not have any contruction experience, their expertise and knowledge has been invaluable in giving me an honest and realistic evaluation of my property.
