Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 205 reviews, reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers consistently find the platform user-friendly and efficient for connecting with verified tradespeople, saving them time and hassle in finding suitable professionals for various jobs. Many appreciate the ease of navigating the website and the quick responses from tradespeople, often leading to jobs being underway within a week. The service is highly praised for its ability to provide access to a pool of skilled and professional tradespeople, making it a go-to for both small and large projects. However, some customers reported issues with the platform's process, finding it confusing for first-time users or experiencing unreliability from some listed sole traders who did not follow through with quotes or appointments. A few reviewers also expressed dissatisfaction with the company's handling of disputes or concerns, feeling that the platform sometimes protects tradespeople over homeowners, or that their token system needs improvement.

Have used Builderscrack for years

Have used Builderscrack for years. Love the fact that you're not chasing and wasting time looking for tradies, they come to you and want the work. Can check their reviews easily and workmanship from real clients. Great for both small and large jobs.

Builder's Crack

I have used Builder's Crack for several jobs now, and all the tradies I've worked with have been efficient and gotten the little jobs done. I've been able to access smaller companies who might have missed out on work otherwise, and that I would never have found myself.

Very helpful

Builder's crack is an easy to use network that I have used twice. Both times I have met trades people that are competent and well priced. I will be using those tradies and BC in the future.

Paying for Leads That Go Nowhere

I’d like to raise a concern about how the token system currently works on Builderscrack.

As tradies, we pay for tokens to connect with homeowners and quote on jobs. However, homeowners can connect with multiple tradies at once, and often they simply choose the cheapest quote. While that’s understandable from their perspective, it means the rest of us lose the tokens we paid for, even if we provided detailed quotes and professional communication.

What’s more frustrating is when homeowners connect with several tradies and then withdraw the job without even having a conversation. Despite no discussion or opportunity to quote properly, the tokens are still deducted from our accounts.

This system puts all the financial risk on tradies. We invest money just for the opportunity to quote, but there’s no protection if the job is withdrawn or if the homeowner doesn’t engage.

I believe there should be:
• A refund of tokens if the homeowner withdraws the job before meaningful contact.
• A limit on how many tradies a homeowner can connect with per job.
• Better accountability for homeowners who repeatedly post and withdraw jobs.

Builderscrack is a great platform with real potential, but the current system feels unfair to tradies who are paying to use it.

Thank you for considering this feedback.

Hi Bibek, thank you for your constructive feedback. It sounds like a chat with our Trade team would really help, because we do have a policy for tokens, there is a limit of three tradies that can connect, and we do monitor jobs. In terms of a marketing cost, Builderscrack is one of the most efficient ways to build your pipeline, so while it is frustrating that not every job ends in a win, it's still marketing your business and saving you time managing a website, ads and other activity.

I've asked one of our Account Managers to give you a call so that you can learn how to make the platform work for you. You've already got some great 5 star reviews and it'd be awesome to keep that going! Cheers, Rach @ BC.

I find builderscrack not really good…

I find builderscrack not really good for tradespeople. They charge a lot to chase a job and it is not guaranteed that you will win the job so I waste money for nothing. It was better when they charge you a commission when you get the job instead.

Don't sit on the fence, give it a go.....

I have used Builderscrack for the first time recently as I didn't know who to contact about the garden job I had nor any real idea about the cost - just a budget to work to. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it will be my 'go to' place from now on for any future work I need to have completed. Very easy to use, easy to communicate with whoever makes contact with you and if you're sitting on the fence (as I had been for some time) I would highly recommend giving it a go.

This site is a great way to find local…

This site is a great way to find local trades people who are able and interested in doing the smaller jobs. Having a profile to view covering previous jobs and accreditations is a huge benefit when selecting who to connect with. I have found the process of listing, connecting, hiring etc a little confusing, which I put down to my inexperience but I muddle through and get there in the end!

Great way to find tradies

I’ve used them twice now and found great tradesmen each time. Being able to read reviews and get up to 3 quotes for each job made me confident in advance and the quality of work matched the reviews

Its a scam, don't use.

They seem to have now turned into a scam site that harass their previous clients for money after you stop using their service, I started using them periodically when I first set up my business, pay for the leads when I could afford it, I did this again a few months back but was getting enough work through other advertising to not need it so stop using it and ignored it, now they are sending me harassing messages saying I owe them money.
None of this is defamatory, I no longer wished to pay for the service as I was no using it, they started sending me harassing emails threatening my credit now builderscrack is trying get this review removed and trustpilot is allowing this.
