Great service from Buldbase Barnsley.....from the salesman D.H. To the delivery driver spot on...recommended....

Crawley Branch... good service. Ordered on-line Monday.Had call within about 10 mins to advise Thurs was earliest delivery date due to current situation.Suited me (cannot go anywhere at present!).Delivery arrived Thurs morning,driver placed on my drive near back gate.Very professional & courteous.Will definitely use again (delivery from another company took 3 weeks and 3 attempts after EMails & phone calls to make simple delivery of IN STOCK items!So nice to know immediately when delivery will be made and actually receive everything you paid for!).
Keep up the good work..... customers will remember those companies who performed well in these difficult times.

EXECELLENT! Amazing staff and turnaround. Thanks to Robbo I had my order the next day (delivered) and I was very impressed with the service and how friendly and efficient this company are! Special shout out to Robbo and Martin (driver) for such a great service.

I used Buildbase in Stoke on Trent for the first time June 1st 2020, to call the service excellent, is just how it was, Barry answered the phone and was most helpful, calling me back twice within minuets with information of stock level and price, item was not available elseware, so placed the order, collection was just as efficient, with Dave at the gate, item and paperwork ready and waiting.
It's now most likely that I will be back for more of the same

Swadlincote Branch - Brilliant - would rate them higher if I could! All staff from counter, to warehouse, to driver dropping off goods were ALL fantastic!!

All staff were very helpful, efficient, happy, friendly and full of banter :-) Excellent service.

Awsworth (Nottingham) Branch:
Excellent click and collect service. Properly organised for social distancing. Paid over the phone and agreed a pick-up time. Arrived on site and supplied order number, was directed to a numbered loading bay and asked to remain in car until order had been dropped behind car. So only contact was a brief conversation to pass order number to the chap at the entrance.
Well done!

Unhappy with the Kenilworth Branch. The website states they are open, I telephoned to check and someone answered but immediately hung up.... I tried a second time... same thing happened. Assuming they must be busy i drove to the facility. The gates where locked with a van parked across them. Signage indicated that the brand was open, the stores front doors where open.

If not open, why not detail this on the website clearly... whom ever answered and hung up the phone is obviously very rude, if they didn’t want to answer the phone then why not have a recorded message?

Ive since purchased my building materials from a more professional supplier and wont be returning to Buildbase Kenilworth in the future.

Not happy at all with rushden site , got told a couple of weeks ago that due to reopening it will take up to take up to 2 weeks to deliver plumb slate 1 ton bag which i tottaly understood due to the situation but 2 weeks arrived no delivery nore phone call, rang the Monday after the 2 weeks to check to see where my order was to be told they will ring me back as they will check to see, waited about 3 hours no phone call so I rang back and to be told they don't have the stock even though 2 weeks ago they did so asked for a refund over £150 as it was going to take over 7 days for them to supply it to me they tock my details for the refund to be told it will take 5 days for them to process it , guess what I have no payment yet in my.account rang them up today to be told again they will ring back and guess what they didn't i rang them to be told they had processed it there end and said they were going ring the accounts to see what's going on as it should be in there they said they would ring me back they didn't they Also said they would send an email to me today showing they had processed it their end and guess what no email ,
Quick enough to take the money but my god what and woeful customer after service in trying to get my money back .

Build base Rushden Northamptonshire first time I used your site in rushden as it is local and thought to surport local places but I'm afraid I will not be using you ago ,
Please could I have my refund which you are holding on to and some advise please don't say we will ring back and never do .

I have to say that a young lady called Sam at newark build base is a credit to the company
She has dealt with 2 sales delays I purchased 1 on line and 1 by phone order during the covid 19 lockdown.
She does go above and beyond to meet customer needs even stayed late to accept a delivery from the supplier so I could have delivery next day
Give that girl and pay rise fast

Rang to make my order and the lady was very helpful due to where I live being difficult to deliver to. On delivery day they have delivered and been very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend them and will use again in the future.

I ordered 1 fence panel on the 18th March was told it would take a week for it to arrive ,the day before lockdown Buildbase rang to say the panel had a arrived but they could not deliver ,which I totally understand so agreed for deliver after the lockdown .For the 2 weeks I have been told 2 different delivery dates but they never turned up.I finally talk to someone who informs me that they have never had a delivery of my panel .Ive lost count how many times people at Buildbase have promised to ring me back .I eventually asked for a refund .Will not take my business there again and will tell my family and friends the same .The customer service is shocking .

Phone over a week ago to make a purchase the man on the phone took my number said he will ring back and now a week later am still waiting for the call back so I took my service now elsewhere

I placed an order, which was due to be collected. I didn't require the goods due to a personal circumstance, so I emailed my local branch (gainsborough) 3 days before the collection date and asked for a refund. I rang the branch as I had not received any response. Spoke to a gentleman on the showroom extension and the service he gave me was disgraceful. He said "oh yes, you were the one that didn't show up" and asked for my phone number. After I gave him this I asked if I would be contacted to confirm the refund and he replied "I hope so" and hung up on me.
I still havent had a response or refund and this is over 2 weeks ago now. There doesn't seem to be any number, email or complaints proceedure to escalate this further with the company?

Have recently made a few purchases at Buildbase Cheltenham, with great service. Especially the case with my most recent, which was unfortunately out of stock. After a few calls and emails to and fro with Chloe, their sales lady, I didn't manage to get the item, but the service was fantastic and received a speedy refund. Will definitely continue to use Buildbase in the future!

Updated....since putting on trustpilot order was delivered free of charge and sorted out quickly just a shame it took this to get something done. Ordered 2 sheets of ply online (that were in stock) for collection. 2 days later still not been given a time slot to pick them up. And no reply to emails. Tried phoning store to be told they dont deal with online purchases and have to wait for order to come through.

Ordered gravel online, gateshead office called to confirm order and arrange delivery (which was prompt) I live in a tight street. The driver was very polite and managed to get the dumpy bag where we asked. Would definitely recommend and use again *****

I collected my first order thru your Click & Collect Covid-19 appointment system today.
I was deeply impressed with the efficiency of the system at Shrewsbury Branch.

Ordered some sand, then cement which i'd forgotten, then a piece of timber. Good website. Exeter branch staff helpful about putting the 3 orders together, booked a pick up (on 8th May, bank holiday), got there early, no problem, my 3 orders ready for "social distance" collection, smiles all round, all very efficient.

Without doubt the most expensive merchant in town. Only interested in regular customers not new ones. It’s like stepping back in time!
Same company as SELCO but loads more expensive. Avoid if you want to save money.
