Great design and operation
Have had it for 2 years and works really well I use slightly coarser salt for max killing power, good fun, but not for the flies
No Bang For Your Buck
It’s a great idea but unfortunately it’s useless. I can hit flies dead on and they just fly off.
Not worth the money at all.
trigger broke within first months
trigger broke within first months, cant get parts to fix it. no customer service or parts available. dont waste your money
I asked for this as a xmas present
I asked for this as a xmas present. glad i didnt have to spend my own money on it.The idea is cool. The salt is not enough to kill the fly. Sure it has some power behind the shot however I have been at close range of a meter away and hit a bullseye and it just flies off. Needs better bullets
Useless, flies fly away
Have shot multiple flies point blank and they just fly away. Not worth the money and would rather buy 10 of the fly tennis zappers. Disappointing to be honest!
Utterly useless
Utterly useless. Just hit a fly at point blank range three times and each time it just got up and flew away.
Garbage waste of money
Absolutely Incredible!.....Waste of money that is! I reckon you would have to be a crack shot with an ordinary fire arm to have any luck with this thing, I knew I was taking a gamble when I decided to purchase it, well I lost the gamble, it's crap on flies! Unless you're a good marksman forget it, use a fly swat and save your hard earned cash it's Trash!
Accurate, fun, house fly elimination.
Great Fun product! Max fun, max kill ratio and Min effort w/Bug-beam. Common issues. Not reading instructions. Especially cleaning & maint. Does your sugar&spices clump up? Well, so does salt residue. Complainers need to read the instructions. If ya got time to complain, ya got time to follow the instructions. I gave these @ x-mas. All said "Best present ever!" Hands down! No idea how to top that for the price. If you shoot enough to notice salt around, you need to shut your windows or get screens. Note: vacuuming inside window sills reduces targets of opportunity. OEM salt ammo is best. Proper size, lo-residue and higher kill ratio, max power. If this doesn't kill for you, get the shredder.
Thing is amazing and does a way better…
Thing is amazing and does a way better job than a fly-swatter. I have no idea how it's only got a 2.8 rating on here!
I don't understand the bad reviews
I don't understand the bad reviews, mine works awesome, blows meat flies away! I'm very happy with it and it's good fun.
Does not work like expected
Does not work like expected. I shoot 3 times a fly from very close, the fly gets hit and then flies away.
Disappointed.
Fun idea, flawed technology fails for flies
Loved their online ads and the concept, so I got a "Bug-A-Salt". We did have fun with it the first few days. However, over time it seems that the power really goes down, so you end up having to shoot salt at a small fly 5-10 times before you kill it. Kind of defeats the purpose. Also, we have high ceilings and the upward range is limited. Finally, salt residue everywhere needs to be cleaned up. In one case, salt went into my laptop's keyboard and jammed the keys. More of a gimmick or toy than a real tool.
British flies must be hard as nails
I don’t know if British flies are hard as nails but this thing hardly touches them. It takes 6-10 shots to stun a single small fly and then you have to whack it to kill it.
Really disappointed, for the cost and reviews it’s rubbish
Mine lasted 3 seasons
Mine lasted 3 seasons , then stopped shooting salt .
As it was out of warranty I thought let’s pull it apart.
The reason it stopped working was the rubber piston seal has perished and hardened and deformed due to being immersed in salt constantly.
The company don’t sell replacement parts.
So unfortunately its going in the trash.
I’m going back to swatting and sprays .
Surprised by other reviews
Surprised by other reviews, it's fun, but ours just seems to send a fine spray of salt out which doesn't bother the flies in the slightest. Edited to add - I messaged to ask for a refund, was sent a form to fill in and in less than an hour I received a refund notification. So, very impressed with the customer service!
Excellent product
Excellent product, amazing customer service, and now just got a lot better with the laser, hours of fun, they really do work, strange when you find yourself waiting for flies to come in ;-)
Not sure about all these bad reviews I have had excellent service and excellent support.
My wife for some strange reason thought…
My wife for some strange reason thought to waste good money on two of these.
Total crap. Dont buy into this marketing hype. Whilst the product quality is good, it just doesn't work. You are far better off with a $2 fly squatter from the dollar store.
I think its tuning into the manly man ideology. There will be a mad flurry of use for two days until you realize its crapola, then it will be resigned to the place where all the other crap appliances live. Too expensive to junk, too crap to use.
Mine now grace the shelf of crapola in the garage along with the juicer, bread maker and veg peeler stripper shaper thing.
zero customer support
Made an order on the EU shop by mistake and asked to cancel it right after by email, not even 10 minutes later.
Didn´t get any reply and they`ve sent it anyway.
Opening an dispute on Paypal and planning to refuse delivery.

You can’t contact the company via phone and they don’t answer emails. Can someone help me by letting me know how they contact the company.
I urgently need to cancel an item I accidentally ordered 3 of but to no avail.
Thought maybe the company is a scam?
