Excellent first meeting, but extremely disappointing follow-up and communication
I am writing this review because I believe it is important to give a fair and accurate account of my experience.
I first met Gabriel Padilla on 14 April 2026 regarding a case involving a solar company from which I was trying to recover money owed to me. I had already done a considerable amount of work myself before approaching him, including gathering evidence and starting the legal process.
Our first meeting was genuinely very positive. Gabriel was friendly, understanding, reassuring and appeared very committed to helping me. I left the meeting with the impression that my case would be actively investigated and that there would be a clear effort to pursue the person responsible.
Unfortunately, what happened afterwards was completely different.
After the initial meeting, I was told that I would receive further information shortly. I then had to start following up myself. Over the following months, I repeatedly emailed asking for updates and was repeatedly told, in essence, to be patient because things take time.
There was initially some progress, including a vehicle registry search, and I was told that further corporate registry information would be obtained. However, after that, I saw very little proactive communication or evidence of meaningful progress.
What is particularly frustrating is that I continued doing the work myself throughout this period.
I contacted the relevant authorities, pursued the matter through the court and obtained documentation confirming that the money is owed to me and that enforcement can be pursued. I also received documentation from OMIC confirming that attempts had been made to contact the company without a response.
I forwarded these documents to the solicitor.
Despite providing this important new information and documentation resulting from my own efforts, I did not receive a meaningful response explaining how these documents would be used, what the next legal steps would be, or what action was being taken on my behalf.
I have therefore spent the last four months in a position where I feel I have had to constantly chase, push and ask for updates rather than being kept informed by the person I approached for professional assistance.
I even sent a formal email expressing my dissatisfaction and asking for:
* a full account of what action had been taken;
* a clear status update;
* the proposed next steps; and
* realistic timelines.
Unfortunately, I have still received no response.
This is extremely disappointing, particularly because the initial meeting gave me such a positive impression. I understand that legal matters can take time and that not every case produces an immediate result. My complaint is not that the money has not yet been recovered. My complaint is the lack of communication, lack of proactive follow-up and the fact that I have repeatedly had to drive the case forward myself.
After approximately four months, I expected much more clarity and communication.
I am leaving this review because this has been my genuine experience. I hope the firm takes the feedback seriously, because the difference between the excellent first meeting and the lack of follow-up afterwards has been very disappointing.
