Charming place but bad service and dull food
I’ve unfortunately had a very bad experience at this place, and not just me but also multiple of my friends have told me their experience was similar: the service and communication (with English speakers) is really bad; at first I was rushed away from the desk before even having the change to order. I had to stand in line AGAIN, and when I ordered I waited for 15 minutes without getting my food when customers who ordered after me got theirs. I then had to go to the desk again and explain that I’ve ordered and paid but haven’t received my food. The girl behind the counter just said “okay”, no apology or anything and then finally prepared my order. The food itself was ok, but honestly pretty dull and the cake was really dry.
The place itself is really charming, with the siting area and wooden chairs and tables and the wide selection of food and cakes, so it’s honestly really unfortunate that the food itself taste so boring and that THE SERVICE IS SO TERRIBLE.
When a cafe like this positions itself in Barcelona, the busy, charming city filled with tourists, you would at the very least expect they’d make sure the people they hire can speak some basic English.
