AVOID - SCAMMERS

AVOID - SCAMMERS

I lost access to my email address that I signed up with as I did it thorugh work and my employer went bust.

I explained this to Buckt and that money is tight now and that I've moved to a different country (all true, and can be proven) and they just said no refunds under any circumstances.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

If you want to get 5 rubbish activities to do during certain hours per month that you probably have to wait months to do, and you're willing to jump through all of the loopholes to actually use your tickets, then sign up - otherwise avoid, jump on Groupon and find something you'll actually enjoy

Really not impressed

Really not impressed

App doesn't work at all so we couldn't see our tickets. It turns out they'd emailed me about this but as they made such a point of telling us it was all on the app, I hadn't looked (my error) and I only searched for emails from them after they hadn't replied to my help ticket in three working days-their website says one working day to respond.

Our first months activities were a trampoline park, RRP £10.50 PP, a yoga class RRP £11 PP (only two of the four options are actually available to us as we work 9-5) A comedy night we can't make as there's only one date, the Abbey House Museum, and a self guided walking tour. None of these are particularly exciting in our opinion.

It's a real shame as the idea of Buckt is brilliant, and we were excited about some different date nights, but this is just really disappointing

Nice Idea, Basic Execution

Bought as a Christmas gift. Nice idea, experiences of varying quality but usually one or two items per month OK for us.
You only get 3 weeks to see and book the items as they don't refresh until the first week.
App is fairly poor and can't be used to actually book the activities so there is an amount of faff to organise each one.
Bought as a gift subscription for 2 months, however it has renewed amd neither the recipient not myself can access the account to cancel. User error on my part really as should have cancelled the subscription while active. Had to wait a little while to get assistance, but when we did it was a phone call, and issues will be resolved.

Issue resolved very quickly!

Edit: I just want to say that the Dan (owner of Buckt) called shortly after business hours started today (left my initial review quite early in the morning, and within a few hours he rang).

He apologised profusely and said this issue was human error, but sorted everything out so I was about to get my tickets shortly after. It does show that Buckt are very keen and fast to resolve any hiccups. I would just ask perhaps to have a customer service email or phone number available - I appreciate
there is a ticket system, I am not sure if it was my review or the ticket that got through first. Whislt the ticket does go to Buckt’s inbox, there is always a chance that the response will go to the customer’s spam without them adding the email to their address book so an option to email would be useful!

My activities for this month are similar to those in other reviews. Not activities I would normally choose for myself but I appreciate it is a gamble. However, it was a very good deal for the introductory offer! Excited to see if I find a new hobby form this!

Original: I paid at the beginning of last month (6th March) but not early enough to get the March tickets.

As I noticed that you will be charged for the subscription on the 1st in the month, I put a request to pause my subscription AFTER I receive the month of tickets I have paid for (which would be this month, April) because I did not want to pay for a second month without receiving the first set.

Yesterday, I saw that my account says
"paused", as it has previously just had
"waiting room" with nothing else, meaning I do not have tickets.

Still waiting for a response from the ticket I submitted, and of course there is no customer service number for Buckt. Also there is no response from their social media. The lack of customer service is obviously just a horrendous ordeal.

Would be very angry if they actually want me to be paying for a second month without giving me the first to see if this subscription is worth it first.

Great customer service

I did have a few teething issues getting my first tickets on the app, but customer service has been honestly brilliant. Buckt replied quickly, called me when they said they would and sorted a workaround so I could book my experiences. Excited for yoga and trampolining!!

Definitely not worth the hassle

Definitely not worth the hassle. Paid for 2 months subscription with 4 activities each month and so far only been able to use 2.
Planned events cancelled last minute and things changed without being notified first. The range of activities are pretty poor too. You could probably do the same stuff yourself as the value of tickets aren’t that high. Very confused and difficult to cancel subscription.

I LOVE Buckt.

I LOVE Buckt.

I've lived in Birmingham for around 8 years, and it's unearthed so many things I wasn't aware of, and created so many opportunities to do cool things with friends that I may not have been proactive enough to research and book previously. Love it, highly recommended!

Honest review after a good few months of their subscription

My first month of signing up- 3 total activities.
Had 1 activity cancelled within a week and refunded. Had the second activity cancelled on the day and being refunded. The other activity went through with no qualms.

Good for date planning, however can be flaky.
They need to rebuild trust amongst customers as I don't expect for the activities to be constantly cancelled.

Customer support offered some free additional tickets to compensate for the experience, which bumped this review up to a 3 star as they are sympathetic. Still continuing with the subscription as the premise and activity selection is great. They just need to improve on execution.

Side point, some of the activities do try and up sell you whilst there, and some do obligate yourselves to have a minimum bar spend. So not entirely a seamless experience when arriving.

Edit, down to a 2 star as at 15th April 24. They provide tickets and unfortunately their selected partners do not make it easy to book. Email sent to book an activity, yet no response a week later. Follow up email sent and still no reply. Finally got a response and booked, to which it was a delay due to Buckt side trying to finalise the details of their partnership (2 weeks after releasing tickets).

Edit 26th May
Down to a 1 star and I have cancelled my subscription. They issue tickets on the app and say select a 2 week window and you will be given your tickets a week before and they will email you, if not received you must chase up.. 3 of my activities I booked for the same 2 week window and received no email from them, so I had to chase up.
Now I chased up and went on the book paddleboarding, the date range available in that 2 week window is not even available now. Secondly the other issue is that their app said its available 7 days (Inc sat and sun), however the site has limited me to only select Wed or Thur. So very impractical when trying to navigate your lifestyle.

Ultimately I've been with buckt for a good few months testing it all out. I would recommend to not take it on as the logistical side with their tickets are atrocious, however the range of activities are broad and it does feel like Christmas on the day of ticket release. Still 1 star as a good idea, just poor execution

Worcester

Subscribed to the Worcester subscription and really enjoyed it. Within just a few months I've been rock climbing, bowling, axe throwing, a games cafe, a Japanese tea ceremony and loads more!

Would definitely recommend

Great for trying new activites

We signed up to the Birmingham subscription and have been really impressed with the range of activities on offer - stuff we never would have considered before Buckt. We recently tried Archery and fell in love with it, and have taken it up regularly! (outside of Buckt). Definitely recommend giving this a go.

Avoid

I have been with them for the trial month of 9.99. When booking the tickets they tell you you will receive a code for the week you want to use them. I did not receive anything and I tried to contact them twice by email and once via instagram. I received no answer from them at all. The tickets can be used in a 3 month period but I feel they will never arrive.
Costumer service is dreadful and if I had paid the full amount I would be definetly going against them for a scam.

Don't give people gift vouchers

This has been such a terrible experience with the app. I was given a gift card to try out for a month and not only was I not able to book or use a single activity in 3 months, once they have your payment details (which they require even for a voucher) they continue to try and charge you for it in perpetuity. Assistance and support is useless and my emails went unanswered.

Subscribed in Birmingham

Subscribed in Birmingham, recently went to The Park to do their VR experience. We got to try the plank game which is terrifying if you don’t like heights, then played a shooter experience set in space. I would definitely recommend subscribing to Buckt if you’re into activities like these.

stay away from this company

Never got sent the introduction email so was never able to make use of the activities or cancel the subscription.
Got charged £40 for the second month before ever being able to do anything and they refused to reinstate all the activities or refund the money.
The activities that I was offered to do were not of any value and in far locations.
In the end I wasted about £55 for nothing.
Very disappointed they would not offer a refund for their own mistakes.
Complete rip off

DO NOT give this shambles of a “business” your bank details! I didn’t even want to give the one star for this review. They state that this subscription can be cancelled at any time by simply emailing them yet I have now emailed 5 times over the course of a month and they are still trying to take a fee at every opportunity they can after wrongly taking £40 on the 7th Feb after my first email. Avoid like the plague unless you want to keep paying a fee for a service you don’t want and have absolutely zero correspondence from them whatsoever!!

Nice concept, not the best technology

Lovely concept, however had to cancel due to finances.

When I went onto my account to cancel it informed me that I had no rolling subscription, so thought I must have only signed up for a month and didn't need to cancel- brilliant!

To then be charged the following month and Informed that no refunds can be given. If they're going to have an option to cancel online they need to ensure that people's accounts accurately allow them to cancel and shows accurate information.

Buckt load of fun!!!

Bought a subscription for my husband as a Christmas present. What a joy. We have been out several times this month enjoying activities we probably wouldn’t have thought of doing ourselves.
Great value.

Good idea but poorly executed

Great idea to have discounted activities all in one place, and encourages you to do things you wouldn’t otherwise have thought of, but the execution of the user experience is really poor. You have to create 2 accounts, one for the subscription and one for your bookings, and you re-enter all your details every time you book an activity. I had the subscription with 5 activities, so this means you enter your personal details 5 times a month. Given it’s all contained within the app, I would’ve thought at least some would be saved or linked together. For one of the activities, the code didn’t work, which I raised with Buckt and they managed to sort it the week after. Cancelled after a month as it’s just too clunky, and feels like more admin than just booking direct.
