Dreadful

Dreadful, dreadful, dreadful company. Very quick to sell you something, utterly useless in action and support, 4 weeks in and still not got all 15 lines running.

Dont bother, find another company to look after your Voip phone

Dreadful and disgusting

Dreadful, disgusting, no after sales care or contact. Sold a supposedly cheaper broadband package and cloud voice phone on Aug 21. My billing has been incorrect ever since as being charged for old and new charges. I have a complaint open with BT billing. What’s more annoying is my business landline number has not ported to the cloud voice phone and have been allocated a completely different number with a different area code. Our registered phone number is a business one which no one can get hold of us one so I refuse to pay for a service that we can’t use. What’s more annoying is the sales team have rung me several times trying to sell me another product but not interested in my complaint. I wish I had never bothered with BT small business in Birmingham. I’ve sent them a complaint email but doubt I’ll hear back. Do not deal with these people whatever

Very poor service

Very poor service, avoid Bt local business, they are franchise like small organisations run by tiny teams who never get back to you and complicate the order with Bt. Failed to deliver leased like in 8 months with no updates. Backup line cannot be installed. Main leased line installed in wrong location. I would shop around and avoid if you can.

Just painful!

Trying to cancel a leased line is impossible. Ages to get through and when i do I get differing messages from every member of staff I’ve spoken with. And today it seems you were in a rush to get off the phone. Perhaps I’m interrupting your lunch? I was promised a call back from complaints manager over an hour ago. I’ll wait with baited breath

diabolical

mpossible to list the mistakes made by not just bt local business but by BT on every level, from the bullsh@t salesman to promises after promises.
Lost broadband for WEEKS phone systems with no signal. Then when we are finally connected after WEEKS OF NO INTERNET!!! i was then disconnected again due to BT trying to fix my PREVIOUS disconnected line.
This nightmare started in NOVEMBER LAST YEAR BT HAS ALMOST CLOSED MY BUSINESS DOWN as we operate online sales etc and obviously need phones to take orders it’s basically ruined our business.
Be very careful before using BT as when things go wrong they go very very wrong and nobody will attempt to help as you are passed about from one team to the other and nobody knows what they should do to fix the problem.
Ruined my business in in two and half months without any care or concern.
Cant speak to anyone who can organise a site visit or get anyone to admit fault.
Spending everyday and hours on phones trying to fix the issues.
AVOID BT LIKE THE PLAGUE. HOPEFULLY I WILL HAVE A LEGAL CASE TO TRY AND GET SOME MONEY BACK. AVOID
Johnsons spares

BT signed my company up for a two year…

BT signed my company up for a two year contract and threw in some add ons. After agreeing to inlude a minihub on the contract at extra cost, I returned the signed and completed order form. 2 Months after not receiving the mini hub and also not getting a response from the sales person I contacted the team manager. They refused to honour the previous order which had been made by BT and accepted by myself for no reason other than the sales person mis sold the product which is a breach on contract law. They should not have left me in the dark for 2 months before trying to charge me more money for the service I had previously requested and not received. I was advised that I would have to pay the higher rate they were suggesting, which I declined as I know my current position. A while later the same manager contacted me with a revised offer (which apparently wasn't possible before) which still cost more than the original agreement. I doubt an offer would have been made if there was not some acceptance of their wrong doing. A complaint had been filed and I was informed that there was nothing I could do for three months and the complaints team will be in touch. I had called the sales team for an update 2 months after logging the complaint but they repeated the same line of the complaints team can take up to three months to review a case and didn't look into it. I waited another 2 months making it 4 months in total, as I was trying to give the opportunity to respond before I contact them again. When I did contact them one of the sales reps advised I should take my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman. When I spoke with the sales manager they advised that the complaints team had closed my complaint. To my surprise their notes indicated that the complaints team closed my file the day before I had actually requested we start the complaint procedure and they had never made any contact with me regarding the complaint. So I went to the Financial Ombudsman to start the process with them. But BT incorrectly advised me to go there when I should have been told to go to the Communication Ombudsman. Took nearly 3 weeks to respond from the Financial Ombudsman so it has been delayed further. At this point I completed the original order for our broadband 6 months ago but I'm still paying the higher original rate and still do not have the add ons which had been previously agreed upon.

The only thing they’re good at is selling.

I had the misfortune of being sold an Avaya phone system via the franchised BT local business in Preston, Lancs. It was a shambles from beginning to end. The system was never installed properly and getting post installation support was impossible. They only want to sell products and are not interested in helping customers. The system was sold knowing that ISDN was being phased out. Why not sell a system that was future proofed? The final insult was receiving a bill for early termination charges when I sold the business recently. Early termination for phone lines being phased out. Seriously if anyone is looking to work with this dreadful outfit, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. A thoroughly dispiriting experience.

I am shaking

I am shaking. I have been trying to get out of a contract which I was misleadingly led into by a sales pitch from BT Local Business and I have fought since 2018 to cancel/ reduce/ understand this office PBX system - so old that the engineer had not seen it for years. Apart from the Open Reach Engineers the customer service I have had especially from BT Local Business West is about the very worst I have ever received from a company in my life. We have been paying £5,000 a year for an office line (two lines which I couldn't cancel one of which was blocked from making outgoing calls) a home line and the internet.
Disgraceful and deceitful was the way I got tied into a contract in 2018 and the customer service is like dealing with a bunch of rude, abrasive, aggressive gangsters or cowboys. Never again.

BT Cloud Voice Express - to hell

Business VOIP landline disappeared!
Business landline disconnected during upgrade and BT cut all calls. Every call to BT complain resulted in them telling lies each time. Different time scales, different reason of being off. Our business has closed its doors until BT switch the landline back on in 2 days, or 7 days or 28 days or whenever..

Terrible company

Terrible company. Never have I had so much issues before. I tried to cancel the lease line because it wasn't something that we need. It was before they installed anything. Then they go and install it anyway even after I have canceled my order. The installation as well is terrible. It's put in a place where I can't even use it. There is not connection to the router what so ever. Then I asked them to move it. It's been 2 weeks and it has not been moved or anything. The line is working but I can't use it as my cable can't even reach it. They also just installed it without my permission. They just went into the premisses and installed it. Now I am forced to keep the line due to it being installed. So instead of getting a line which will cost me like £100 now I have to pay £300 per month for this line I can't even use.

BT Local Business South Central

This business, SOUTH CENTRAL LOCAL BUSINESS LIMITED, is supremely arrogant from top down. Their philosophy appears to be "computer says no" and no intellect is engaged even where the computer is proved wrong. Their in house BT representative, this is a third party contractor to BT, endorses the foregoing. Utterly unhelpful, best avoided. If you can't pick an alternate BT regional rep, either go elsewhere, or complain to BT Chairman's office..
