Given the load, the telescoping handle is almost embarrassingly, light and fragile. It’ll be infuriatingif that bites me on irreversible trips overseas.

I am on my fourth B&W case. The first two were destroyed by the airlines and replaced. The first time it looked like an elephant stepped on it. The case did it's job and the bike was entirely unharmed! There are some issues with the case. First, the case desperately needs a handle on the side. It is a bulky bag and often on the luggage carousel the handle is oriented to the bottom and it is very challenging to to pull off. This could easily be solved with a side handle. The last two cases I have had I had replace because the latches just quit working properly. Don't know why, but they wouldn't open and shut. I on my last trip I had to use a luggage strap to keep the bad from popping open because the latches wouldn't stay shut. All of that said it has done it job of protecting the bike admirably.
The bike wouldn't fit properly in the suit case, even after multiple attempts--bike is too wide. So now I am stuck with a product that I cannot use, which is unfortunate. I could send it back but I would have to pay $209 to do so, which in nearly the cost of the purchase. Aside from that, I realized it was designed for traveling and not for day to day use. What I was imagining is using it when I go shopping inside store but then I was shown that the bike can be used as a shopping cart.
The case material and build seem to be very solid. I think this is a great option for folks that don't mind checking the oversized bins at baggage claim and don't plan to ride from airport to hotel since there's no way you're carrying this on bike once you've arrived at your destination. To me, this greatly limits its functionality... If im going to travel with full sized bike logistics, I might as well bring a full-sized bike. Brompton's customer pays return shipping policy has left me with this brand-new case that'll never be used :/ waste of money for my use case. Vincita offers a great travel bag (if you're okay with soft shell.... which for something heavy like a Brompton, should be no concern).
Well made case, great latches, nice handle and wheels. I have a standard Brompton six speed and it required the right side pedal and my aftermarket hand grips to be removed in order to close. Since it is marketed specifically for Brompton, I would think cushioning would be more form fitting and not require pieces of the bike to be disassembled. Easy to do but requires a wrench that is not in the standard in-frame tool kit in order to remove the pedal.
Did what it promised
Perfect for the bike
Great travel case for our Bromptons. We bought two of them for our Bromptons. Mine had an extended seat post, so had to remove the seat post and it tucked in nicely. My husbands was an older Brompton and it fit in there a little differently, but still tucked in and no need to remove the seat post. These are nicely padded and appear very durable. Like the extra velcro straps to hold things together and it comes with TSA locks. These will be flying back and forth on regular trips to LA - looking forward to seeing how these handle the baggage handling.
