A professional qualified and experienced nanny offering consultancy and advice to parents of newborn babies and children. The advice and support is non judgmental, easy, straight forward, supportive and practical. After a lifetime of working in a career with babies and children I have a wealth of experience to share. An additional 3 years experience working in a special care baby unit with sick and premature babies and 21 years supporting parents overnight as a night nanny. This experience has enabled me to condence my knowledge and share it with parents who may have become parents for the first time. The advice, support and practical help in most cases takes place in the parents home. If the parents are overseas the help can be shared in an online meeting or phone call. Advice is very much a personal approach to the individual child and the uniqueness of that family life. Ethnicity and cultural backgrounds are always taken consideration as many families live overseas and parents come from diverse backgrounds. Above all I respond well to communication and support each family with the same enthusiasm with my job today as I did the first day I became a trained nursery nurse.

Brenda has absolutely transformed our parenting journey. Within four days our 3.5 month old daughter was sleeping through the night. We even went for a weekend away that first weekend of sleep training and the routine held strong. We have a much better understanding of how to structure our days with our baby and we are all much better for it. From when my daughter was a newborn I kept saying to friends that all I wanted in parenthood was someone to come along to tell me exactly what to do, to remove the guesswork and trial and error, and Brenda did just that.

Terrible experience. I hired this person as a night nurse, not a sleep trainer, and expected her to be responsive to the needs of my 2‑month‑old baby. Instead, her approach was extremely rigid and hands‑off. She repeatedly refused to pick up my clearly uncomfortable baby to soothe him, saying that in 23 years she has never picked up a baby to help them settle, and insisted on keeping him in a BabyBjörn chair during the night, including around feeding times, and did not offer to burp him, despite me explaining his digestive issues. When I finally picked him up myself, he immediately burped and was clearly more comfortable, which reinforced my concern about her approach. She also swaddled him in a wrap she had brought from her own home without asking my consent, and I had no way of knowing how clean it was.
Our baby, a few days post‑vaccines and with tummy problems, stayed mostly awake and unsettled from 6pm until past 1am (she came at 7pm). Throughout the night she kept berating me that I had let him sleep too much during the day, but for a 2‑month‑old baby, being awake for 7+hours is not a reasonable or developmentally appropriate consequence of daytime sleep. Her “advice” was that he should feed five minutes on one breast and five minutes on the other, then be put on the floor if he fell asleep and even undressed so he would be cold and wake up, which I found completely inappropriate. From the start she also failed to take over basic tasks one would expect from a night nurse: I was still the one burping him, putting him in his sleeping bag and doing much of the hands‑on care.
When, after midnight, I found he was still not sleeping and she continued to refuse any responsive comforting, I stepped in. She became confrontational, raised her voice at me in my own home, and I asked her to leave after 1am, offering to pay her in full just so the situation would end. In the two days afterwards she also sent me repeated, threatening payment messages, which felt very intimidating and inappropriate towards a busy mother caring for a newborn. The payment was made in full.
I have worked with several other maternity/night nurses without any issues; all were gentle, responsive and respectful. This particular nurse’s “military” style, lack of responsiveness to an uncomfortable baby, and aggressive behaviour towards a vulnerable mother mean I cannot recommend her to families looking for genuine night‑nurse support.

We have used Brenda many times over the years for help with our boys sleep and behaviour. Brenda is brilliant and we wouldn’t consider going anywhere else for advice! Thank you Brenda 😊

We are lucky in that our nights have always been great, but our days needed help. Brenda helped us come up with a napping routine and schedule which helped the daytime fussiness, and a schedule made things easier to manage

We were getting very little sleep with our 17 mo before contacting Brenda. Brenda was fantastic! Thoroughly worked on what we were doing and what would work for our toddlers needs. With check ins daily and answers to anything we weren’t so sure about, we are now sleeping through 7-7! Never did we think it would be possible to break the awful sleep habits. Highly recommend Brenda.

Brenda was recommended to me by a friend who had used her with both her low sleep needs babies. I was feeling at my wits end as a single parent with 2 kids, 4 and 1.5, sharing a room. Brenda took the time to understand us and our needs during our home visit and came up with a plan to help all of us get sleep. I now have kids that sleep through the night which means everyone is getting the sleep they need and so can be the parent I want and need to be. I highly recommend her.

Brenda met our son when he was 12 weeks old and within 3 days he was sleeping through the night. She also helped us with a day time routine, which our son loves (he genuinely looks happy when he gets into his sleeping bag) and it brings structure to both his and my day. I cannot recommend Brenda enough!

Brenda was extremely helpful and managed to get our 9 month old baby to sleep through the night.
Her precise routine worked well in improving both our baby’s sleeping and feeding patterns.

Brenda was an excellent sleep trainer. She got us into a strict daytime routine which helped massively with naps and meal times. She also got our 7 month old to sleep through the night which is an absolute game changer. She was always available via WhatsApp throughout the training period and could answer any questions we had.

Brenda got us going immediately with a plan and routine that took us from chaotic cosleeping to our 5-month-old sleeping through the night in his own room, within 24 hours. Her approach is utterly direct and no nonsense, and requires pretty unwavering tough love. You have to be prepared for your baby to cry. I did tweak a couple of elements, but the governing principles worked very well and very quickly.

Brenda is a miracle worker. Our 6.5 month old son had 0 routine and each we tried to implement didn’t work, he was waking throughout the night and naps in the day were unpredictable. He also wouldn’t take a bottle and weaning was an issue. After our initial session with Brenda, ,(where she came to us outside of London) he was pretty much sleeping through the night, took a bottle and started to eat. It’s given us our sleep back and gave us confidence to sleep train which we were nervous about. He now sleeps loves the bottle and eats more. We can’t thank Brenda enough and highly recommend her. Her methods make so much sense and you see instant results.

This was the best money I think we have ever spent! Brenda literally changed our lives. We have a 20month old girl (who was 3 months premature) - at the time of reaching out to Brenda we were all broken, including our baby girl. It would be a complete roulette on putting her down to sleep and sometimes take over an hour. We were up 3 times a night and starting our day by 5am, sometimes earlier. All Whilst juggling full time jobs and nursery for her.
After 3 hours with us in person, where Brenda really listened to and understood our journey, she implemented a routine that almost immediately showed improvement. within 2 nights she wasn’t waking up during the night, and within a week, with tweaks to the routine thanks to the daily contact with Brenda, she was finally sleeping through. Plus she had a much better relationship with food. All of which meant a much happier baby.
Not just that, the routine has meant we could go on holiday, go away for the weekend, adapt things slightly and still have a peaceful night.
I’ve got lots of friends who have used sleep consultants and tried to pass on tips, but what we learnt is that it is completely unique to your child’s needs, and that’s what Brenda addressed for us.
Thank you so much, Brenda, you’ve turned our lives around.

We first worked with Brenda's sister Sarah as a night nanny and sleep trainer when our son was born, and she was absolutely wonderful. More recently, when our son turned two, we reached out to Brenda for some help and guidance - she came for an afternoon visit and followed up with WhatsApp support that was simply incredible.
Her advice was spot-on, practical, and delivered with such warmth and reassurance. Within days we saw a huge improvement in our son's sleep and general routine. Brenda has that rare combination of deep experience, calm authority, and genuine care that immediately puts you at ease.
I can't recommend Brenda (and her family team) highly enough, she is a lifesaver for new parents and for anyone who just needs some expert help getting things back on track.

Brenda has made a real difference for our family. Our 8-month-old has some medical issues, so we were reluctant to try strict sleep training and weren't sure a structured approach would work for us. Brenda understood our hesitations but gave us the confidence to implement a routine that would work for our son.
He now sleeps through the night and naps like clockwork during the day. The change has been huge for all of us - we went from exhausted and overwhelmed to rested and capable parents. Highly recommend Brenda's knowledgeable and reassuring guidance

We enlisted Brenda’s help following a recommendation from friends. She came to assist with my 8 month old baby - who was waking 8 times a night, and my 4 year old with some structure and behaviour issues. Within 3 nights, our baby was sleeping through from 7pm - 6:30am. Our 4 year old also made some big leaps forward. Brenda’s approach is direct, no nonsense and exactly what we needed to give us a clear pathway forward. We were utterly in the trenches and Brenda gave us the tools to pull us out.

Brenda came to help us with our 3 month old baby and her experience and expertise is second to none. Within minutes of being with our daughter she had sussed her out perfectly and managed to establish both a day routine which included non contact naps (so I finally had my hands free!) and also within a few days our baby was sleeping through the night. Our daughter is SO much happier because of it - both feeding better and getting enough sleep and knows her routine. She even smiles when you put her down awake in the evening as she is so happy to be in her cot. It really has been a game changer for us.

Brenda helped us with our 4.5 year old and 2.5 year old, the latter having gone from sleeping through the night to a two hour screaming match at bedtime and waking up every hour post starting nursery wanting me to sleep with him. Brenda is no BS but our boys have slept through the night for the last week or so and I can breathe again!

We first met Brenda in 2023 after struggling to get our 5.5 month old to sleep without contact /follow a routine. Within 36 hours our daughter was sleeping through the night in her own room and has been ever since - she’s now 2 years old!
Brenda’s no nonsense approach really works and she’s now training our 12 week old.
I’d highly recommend as it really is life changing!

Before working with Brenda, sleep was a nightmare. Our baby would only fall asleep if she was in our bed or physically on one of us, often requiring us to repeatedly go up and down the stairs to rock her to sleep. Brenda was a game-changer, helping her achieve independent sleep—a massive relief and a step toward independence for everyone. The method proved tough, and because my baby was a bit underweight, I got scared and stopped following the full guidelines. Predictably, at 6 months, the frequent two-hour wake-ups have returned. I now need Brenda's help to fix this and get us back on track
