Terrible; they just want you to give them money & continue to pay monthly for results that are false. Would not recommend to anyone. Save your money

Scam I never got my results and they never gave me a refund. I keep trying to get in contact with anyone and I can’t. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY SCAMMERS

I have dealt with acne for about 20 years and have never truly known the reason for my breakouts. I have been in-and-out of dermatologists and have been using random acne products with no results. After doing my bloodwork with Breakoutlabs and understanding the root cause of my acne, I was able to move forward in the right direction to help improve my skin. Rather than purchasing random supplements and skin care products, I knew exactly what I needed.

I couldn’t have gotten the results I was wanting without the help of Brittany, their skincare specialist. She is truly the reason I have seen significant improvement not only in my skin, but in my overall wellbeing. Any time I have questions about my skin, she is right there helping me along the way with her quick and supportive responses. I have never had this type of support with my skin issues and having her words of wisdom has changed my life. I feel so blessed to have met her and I am looking forward to continue working with her if I have any more questions about my skin or any breakouts down the road.

Brittany helped personalize my diet, skin care routine and supplements to help reduce my acne flare ups and my results have been phenomenal. It’s taken a few months to see the results but I knew my acne would not be fixed over night and I had to trust the process. Overall, I am wearing less makeup and I feel like my skin is glowing. I have even recently received some compliments on my skin and that’s unheard of!

Purchased and never got a shipping notification. I reached out and they said it is out of stock with no estimated back in stock date. I asked for a full refund over a month ago and no refund has shown up. Definitely a scam

I ordered this test for my son, everything was really slow. Never heard from them after a month. You contact a 3rd party who can only email the company and wait for their response. They sent a verification for age, gender and name, but it does not accept a minors birthday. The test was run for the wrong name, age and gender. They could not release the test. They said they are back ordered and have no more in stock. I spent $263 with a consult and they refuse to refund my money. I know most people are desperate to find out why they have acne and want help, but this company is not able to help. It has been months (starting in April) at this point. Breakout labs just keeps trying to offer me $50 to resolve it. No test results, no consultation and no refund. July 6, 2026

If you go to breakout lab website, I found statements like 90- day money back- guarantee. Also, under frequently asked questions it says. It states:

What if the test doesn’t give me answers is there a guarantee?
Yes. If your BreakoutLabs test does not provide meaningful insights about your skin, we’ll refund your money. Our mission is clarity not wasted time or frustration.

Breakout lab will not refund your money. They will only offer you $50. I paid $263, which included a consult. All their test are back ordered and I no longer want a replacement test. I do not want breakout lab to have my son's DNA. Ava will stay polite, but she will ignore the facts and repeat the same thing. Be aware.

Update: After emails back and forth for months, I reached out the my credit card company to dispute the transactions and they took care of it for me.

I ordered my kit 2 MONTHS ago and it hasn't even shipped out. It's so hard to get a hole of someone. I have been trying continuously for 2 months and all I got was one response saying they are backordered

This has been an amazing experience for me and as I have said-I thank God every day for leading me toward this test kit. It was easy to do, trackable and the results came within 2 weeks. It gives detailed info that you can put into a search to find supplements or products to use. I have also done a consult in which my supplements were looked over and a rec was given if I was experiencing breakouts after one month. I will say within 3-4weeks the changes helped and I am currently going into 3months and my skin looks amazing! I have healed mentally emotionally and spiritually and feeling good!
I go for labs again (this time with my doc) to check levels and see how things are looking to see if there’s any things that need shored up even more and will give that info to the breakout labs consultant to be looked over. It is true that breakout labs have products to use however I haven’t went that route yet. Def imo worth the try! Just for reference: Started out-hormonal acne tried all but accutane. Current-breakouts happen but are super tiny, around hormonal changes, and way better

My main concern is around the credibility of the “skin specialist” providing guidance. From what I could tell, they are not a licensed medical professional, yet they are offering advice that appears to go beyond basic skincare. This felt misleading, especially when discussing issues like hormonal imbalance, which typically require qualified medical evaluation.

Additionally, the consultation felt heavily focused on upselling products rather than providing clear, actionable solutions. I was hoping for more personalized guidance or clarity on next steps, but instead was encouraged to purchase more items without definitive answers.

I also attempted to request a refund due to my dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, this turned into a long back-and-forth over email with no resolution. After multiple exchanges, my request was ultimately denied, which added to the frustration.

Overall, I would not recommend this service if you are looking for medically sound advice or transparent customer support.

If I could give zero stars I would. I received my test and followed instructions correctly and sent in my sample. Once my results were ready it sent me a link to login and asked for my kit ID. Unfortunately I entered it in and it kept telling me that it was invalid. I’ve sent countless messages both via email and text to customer support to get this resolved and absolutely no response back at all. If you call their line you will not be able to reach anyone either. So I basically paid over $200 to give my blood sample to this company and not even get my results I paid for. You will have a terrible experience with customer support and care with this purchase. Please save your money, testing for acne and buying supplements are pricey enough. This brand will absolutely scam you out of your money.

Absolutely horrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone. I received an email my results were ready and I haven't been able to access them. Tech support was absolutely no help and I paid $300 for a service I can't even use. Save your money and use another service. Biggest Scam

I purchased the Acne Root Cause Test, registered my kit, and received text confirmation it was received by the lab. That's where the smooth experience ended.

When I logged into the portal, I was unable to take any action or complete Step 2 of my Journey Overview. I emailed support, was told my kit was "properly linked" and that no action was needed on my end. I then received a text that my results were ready, and I still couldn't access anything. The portal remained locked.

Support sent a "secure link" that simply redirected me back to the sign-in page with no results visible. I replied again. Still unresolved.

The phone support line is not properly set up. Response times are slow. The answers I've received haven't addressed the actual problem. I've paid for a service I still cannot access.

I want my results. I don't want an automated reply telling me everything is fine when it clearly isn't. If this gets resolved, I'll update my review, but for now, I'd caution others to be prepared for a frustrating experience if anything goes wrong with their portal access.
