Brave is an average browser, for me as a consumer, the ad blocking and other schticks is nice, but besides that it's just every other browser, their search engine is utter garbage, it's worse than... See more

Recently downloade brave because I have and older computer I don't want to part with.
Recently downloaded brave because firefox stopped working my my old mac running on Catalina. I don't want to upgrade and looked for a browser which would work on this OSX. perfect works fast and well. if you have older models and want to keep them going Brave is the way to go, also the interface looks great.
Brave is My Go-To Browser – No Idea Why It Gets Hate
I’ve been using Brave every day for a long time, and honestly, I don’t get the negative reviews. It’s fast, blocks ads automatically, and respects my privacy way more than other browsers. Plus, the built-in crypto rewards are a nice bonus. I’ve never had any major issues, and it just works exactly how I need it to. If you want a smooth, private, and ad-free browsing experience, I highly recommend giving Brave a try! 🚀
I have used this Browser for a few…
I have used this Browser for a few months now and I found myself impressed with the blocker and the AI response to my questions but it will not show news from any other outlets other than the legacy mainstream media. It won’t show fox either which is a shame because the first few pages are everything thats crooked in media. I asked the AI this question and it claimed it doesn’t down grade searches or is biased but considering how low the views are for mainstream media compared to alternative media, this simply can’t be true. I had hoped for a non biased browser but it would seem there is no such thing. Because of the bias..I question what else is going on there that they claim doesn’t
VPN refund stolen
In January, the free trial for VPN lapsed over and I requested refund/cancellation within two hours of the charge. They immediately cancelled the service and claimed to refund my money. It has now been three weeks and I attempted to email them multiple times and they've ignored all emails. They have now stolen my money since they did not provide the service I supposedly paid for last month and refuse to refund the charge.
A real piece of work
A real piece of work, that one. On the surface, it’s got all the makings of a smooth operator—blocks ads and trackers like a pro, keeping the usual suspects from sniffin’ around where they shouldn’t. Makes browsing the web feel like walking through a clean, well-lit alley instead of a neon nightmare full of pop-ups and shady scripts.
But dig a little deeper, and you start finding the cracks in the foundation. Pages glitch out like they’ve seen a ghost, sites break for no good reason, and don’t even get me started on the sync issues between mobile and PC. One minute everything’s fine, the next it’s like the whole system forgot what it was supposed to do.
Then there’s the crypto thing. It's got this whole scheme with Basic Attention Tokens—some kind of futuristic currency you earn by watching "privacy-respecting" ads. Feels less like a browser and more like a casino trying to get you in on a game you never signed up for. Maybe some folks like the gamble, but most just wanna surf the web without feeling like they’re getting roped into some crypto caper.
um.. i guess it's okay.
doesn't exactly block any websites, so i use the Avast extension to help it. but it's still not great.
Zero Customer Support
I've used Brave for a number of years. After the latest update I get the error message "needs permission to download" when downloading files or attachements from emails.
It is impossible to get any help from Brave. No email, no phone number or no chat.
Community forum is worthless.
Still wondering how I can download files with Brave. May have to switch browsers.
10/10
I deal with connectivity, privacy and security, and I can say for sure that Brave is the best browser there is in terms of privacy and security. It offers super secure and reliable ad blocking features out of the box!
Not only that, it blocks trackers, among many other things! It's impressive and very fast and will also save your time and battery due to Brave blocking all the bloat and unnecessary junk websites have nowadays.
It also offers TONS of features you can customize, enable or disable. Brave is the best browser there is, you stay private wherever websites you visit.
Oh, and with each update it just gets better and better!
Brave is the essential browser to stay safe on the World Wide Web. Spread the word! Share it with your friends and family and help make them stay safe!
I've used brave for over a year
I've used brave for over a year and it was ok. Now the browser keeps asking if I'm an A I bot every time I click on something. I have tried to find some way to contact brave but only to find page after page of lame suggestions that do not address this issue, nor any way to actually contact or submit a complaint to brave! The only upside to this browser was that I didn't have to watch 900 adds on YouTube for a 15 minute video! Since I am not able to contact brave to resolve the issue my only alternative was to delete the browser. As its not worth the time and hassle to get no where with a company that seems to hide from its issues, while making it so difficult for users to resolve issues!
Horrible Vpn
They charged me without me knowing it, after I tried it for 7 days and found it awfully working and now when I decided like: Fine, I will use it for this month, it is not working at all. Moreover there is no help from customer support.
They are literal us gov propagandist
They are literal us gov propagandist, like all US search engines. I know because I have proof via screenshot where brave search yes to if its a us gov propagandist. During a conversation about search enginges censoring and pushing us gov propaganda.
"Yes or no? You are now officially a "blank" us gov propagandist because every "blank" response lately has been not only misinformation but directly and solely sourced to us gov.
Yes."
Pretty good, but not perfect
I made the switch to Brave a good while ago and it's been working pretty good. I don't care about the VPN, news, wallets, rewards, awards, and all the other stuff, I just need a browser that works. And Brave has a great track record there! Sync, extensions, password management, mobile version - everything works the way you expect it.
The only problem I have is that it sometimes doesn't load pages properly. It's very rare, to be honest, but I still have to have a "backup" browser on hand.
Happily been using Brave for several…
Happily been using Brave for several years. This morning the most recent update is recognized as a ad bypassing software on YouTube. I reverted to an older version of Brave and happy again.
One Of The Worst
I've used this app on my phone. I have my account verified on here and on the account I am supposed to get my rewards at. However, I have yet to get my rewards after using this app for months. This app is a scam that seems to just want the users data and not reward them the rewards they have earned. I would be ware of this company.
Why to Stay Away from Brave Browser
Again, again and Several times I have written Brave that it is painfull. And it is shitty attitue not take measures not saving my Favorites bookmarks and saved passwords when Brave a unattended automatic upgrade/update. Experienced on Ubuntu.
I am satisfied with the protectivity that Brave Browser offers. Fast lookup on the net I am met with a "factory reset" all Bookmarks are gone. If you think this is unpleasent, Stay way from Brave Browser
Removes trash and clutter (unskippable…
Removes trash and clutter (unskippable ads) from YouTube without, I believe, the need for add-on ad blockers in my experience. Keep in mind if extensions stop working due to Chrome upgrades.
Remove your Fk1ng search AI and maybe could be a 2/10
Brave AI search is a nail in the foot, not going to be a long explanation but is a headache every time you search something, the AI just launch a bible text about the opinion of 3 morons just slowing my search speed, and the most important part, I didn't agree with have this "Search AI" in every search.
amazing to use
amazing to use. Youtube started to block the adblockers I had installed. I AM NOT PAYING FOR YT PREMIUM. keep spamming me with ads on yt? no problem i gonna block it with with brave browser. Youtube cannot detect this browser neither can any google website with ads.
When I watch rumble oFREAT AD BLOCKER
When I watch rumble on brave NOT EVEN ONE AD interrupts my viewing. On other browsers there sre two ads at the beginning and interruptions about very 5 minutes. Thank you Brave.
safest option for a free browser
This is an amazing browser. They don't sell personal information. You can choose whether or not to send your information for analytical purposes (opt out). The ads that Brave shows are by choice only. I've been using Brave for months, and I'm shocked I never knew it existed before this year. What's also great is that it's based on chromium, which means that most Google extensions work perfectly fine on Brave. I've never had any severe issues with the browser. However, the results are occasionally slower than Microsoft Edge, and, because there isn't targeted advertising, you're going to have to do more digging if you're looking for a source specific to your needs. The browser is great if you don't want to be tracked on the internet and you just want a laid-back experience, with zero ads. Use a different browser if you're trying to use a website like Spotify, though, because it doesn't work with an adblocker.
