We are quite new to Bradfords but embarking on our next Barn conversion we decided to compare other Builders merchants, having really been loyal to just one [ local & well known]. I created a survey of about 12 items & shopped around. Bradfords came out the best on almost all the items on the list. So annoyed with myself for not having done this before set up an account & have not been disappointed with them. If you are spending £250k on materials the savings are immense.

I have just ordered online 2x "GRADE A recovered railway sleepers" (GRS240) for structural construction work with a "rustic look" @ £80 delivered.
Delivered was on time in 4 later.
When properly inspected the first sleeper was slightly rotted near the bolt holes but still square & usable.
The second had about 50% rot in it (which you could tear out in large lumps with your fingers) & a fair bit of twist.
To save another 4 days wait by rejecting it & then getting another, I managed to cut out a "less bad" part to bolt on to the first to become part of a lintel.
(Lord knows how rotted/unusable a Grade B sleeper would be !???)
Quality control, what quality control? I should have taken notice of the 25% of the previous 4 Trustpilot reviews :(
No more "ordered unseen" items from Bradfords for me thank you..

In fairness to Exeter Bradfords, they have just contacted me & are refunding my payment.
They have now checked their stock of "Grade A" sleepers & have found a surprising quantity of rotten sleepers which will ALL be returned to their 3rd party supliers.
Bradfords also informed me that they aim to resolve/redeliver ALL problems, including replacements, within 1 day.
I am impressed. My review was 1 star, but is now 4 stars (5 stars if their delivery driver had examined the goods when loading.)

Easy to order. Collection was quick. And so helpful.

Website was really easy to use and price was excellent. Stock confirmed as in stock and ready and waiting when I collected. Staff were friendly and happy, even went to print out account forms for me to open a trade account shortly.

From website to delivery, including an item I didn't successfully secure on the website initially, which was added through email and telephone. Have used other suppliers, either let down, items forgotten, etc. This was a real lesson in how to run a business with customer service to the fore. Thank You.

I ordered the bulk soil, it arrived very quickly and the soil is top quality.

I purchased from bradfords building supplies during september 2020 goods to the value of £866.78 via web ordering and also telephone for additional goods following delivery of my main order which amounted £717 which arrived on schedule problems arose with promised delivery and i was contacted on friday 25/9/20 and asked if it was ok to deliver on monday 28 and i then phoned to order 2 bags of sand 1 bag of cement to be put on the van on the said monday but nothing turned up so i phoned on the wed 30 and then the van turned up with the fence post 2 bags of postcrete the wrong type of fence panel but the other fence panel was correct but no sand and ordinary cement and then i visited the exeter store on the 7th october to enquire and was told it would be delivered on the following , I am still waiting.

A good service. I would have given 5 stars if I had been called or received a text on morning of delivery to say whether it would be morning or afternoon. In the end I called the office to find out. A very pleasant and helpful telephone service.

The Office I dealt with in Exeter were very helpful and answered any questions I had about delivery. The delivery driver was very helpful and put the fence panels exactly where I wanted them.
