BorderPass is a scam

BorderPass is a scam. They create misleading services to take advantage of innocent people by claiming they will help with student permit and visa applications.

My advice is not to use their service. Instead, go directly to the official Canadian immigration website and complete the application yourself. The process is straightforward if you carefully follow the instructions.

In my experience, BorderPass was unhelpful after payment. While I was filling out my application, they called me and guided me through some steps. However, after I paid for the student permit and biometric services, communication stopped.

When I tried to contact them for further assistance, I was told I had reached the wrong number. Later, I called using a different phone number and pretended to be a new client who was having trouble making a payment. They answered immediately and directed me to another website to send them money.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend using BorderPass.

I used border pass for my client to…

I used border pass for my client to process their visa application. despite paying a premium fee for a new study permit, afer an initial rejection.

I am not convinced there is any personal touch or review done by the lawyers, you are solely relying on system generated responses, and the promise of a lawyers review after you submit your application before it is forwarded to IRCC in my case this was not provided. I just got notified that the application had been submitted and there was a phone call to the client asking for the application to be submitted. The application came back rejected and some of the reasons stated were issues a lawyer should have pointed out. using their services seems pointless and they also want an additional charge for a judicial review. its a rip off in my opinion

RE: Very Concerned that Border Pass is a dishonest business.

RE: Study Permit Application.
We cannot get BorderPass to respond to emails.
Additionally, the BorderPass portal is a disaster! We have been on it for 10 and 1/2 hours. The portal is wrought with obstacles which mean completion of an application is impossible. By example, the portal states that a section is "complete" (the word complete appears in green) but another tethered section says your "incomplete." The portal is set up where red means incomplete and green means complete. Getting many sections to turn to green is a grueling process. We have not been successful in getting all sections to turn to green, although those same sections include a message from BorderPass (BP) that the sections are complete. Also having to submit the same documents multiple times (e.g., financial docs 3 times) but then to be told by the portal that only one submission is permitted. This has been a horrible process. BP does not have a technical assistance phone number or an email chat option (with a human to whom you can explain the portal issue). You are on your own. The only way to get assistance is to pay, yet another $150 CAD. (This is the talk-to-a-lawyer fee the law practice-Company charges). This makes us convinced that the lawyers (owners of) for Border Pass are not being honest with us; rather have created a moneymaking scheme to collect repeated payments of $150. The Company takes your money and places you in a position in which you are unable to submit the application to them (Border Pass) because of constant obstacles and that you would have to pay them $150 multiple times on top of what the University or College has already paid to BorderPass. The company looks very much like it is running a scam. The people who operate Border Pass are held to higher ethical standard because they are lawyers; therefore, we should expect a robust transparent process. The detriment is to the universities and colleges which pay for BP services as well as detriment to the student applicants.

Helped me get a study permit

BorderPass is very easy to use and the lawyer answered all my questions. I received a study permit and recommend anyone who wants to study in Canada to use this site.
