If using Bookvault please make sure that everything is correct before you publish with this company. They never take responsibility for if something is wrong. I published a book that had appeared on The Great British Book Shop but not on amazon. When asked why it is not on there they responded with we will look into it. I waited over a week for a response to which I then sent another email to which they replied with they were given a faulty ISBN. There was no communication or apology for any inconvenience. They blamed the company that generated but never said anything till prompted. The moment they knew they should inform clients. Shame on you. But going back to making sure everything is perfect. There is no quality control. What you put to print is what you will receive. After 6 months of getting everything correct I will be taking my book else where

As a print-on-demand business Bookvault did a great job on my 272 page hardcover PPC book. There was an initial problem with blurred print which they rectified at no cost, so they take a pride in their work. That is the good news.
The bad news is in distribution. Having printed the book, we all want to sell it - Bookvault included. But though they promise 24 hours before it appears on Great British Book Shop, it has now been over a month and it still has not appeared. Initial responses to my queries revealed that there was some issues with distribution via Amazon (though the book has appeared on Amazon) but no explanation about why this should impact distribution via TGBBS, which will get me more money per book. Now, they have stopped responding to me.
It is important to keep customers informed about what is going on when there are problems and to give reasonable estimates about when the problem will be resolved. Customers will be patient if they are kept in the loop.
I have not been kept in the loop, I don't know what is going on, I fully expect the TGBBS offering of my book on Amazon to disappear any day, so I have set the book up on Amazon myself. Less money for me - but at least I will get something!

I sent a book to be printed, no formatting was done, the book is unreadable, they did not respect the format that I sent at all

So disappointed! We’ve bought 3 books for our clients and a special book for us but they have printed them all the same. We never ordered them like this but they just won’t listen to our point of view and still blame us! They are right and that’s it. They sent all 4 books in one parcel when it was two separate orders yet still charged us for 2 lots of delivery. Absolutely shocking service! We won’t be using it again. I do not recommend this company at all. Patronising and quite arrogant in their emails.

Their book selection is diverse and inspiring and the platform is super user friendly.

The books are motivational, and the service is excellent.

The yoffers an extensive collection and the download process is simple.

UTTERLY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE
After spending hundreds of pounds for photographic books proof, I have to acknowledge that they are NOT QUALIFIED for photographic book printing:and that they are a trapdoor for unjustified fees for title set up.
1.The paper quality @ 150 gsm coated (THE BEST FOR VIBRANT PHOTOBOOK COLORS) is totally useless because the colors at washed out.
2. The binding is a disaster: after two days from receiving the books the sheets started to detach from the spine.
3. BE AWARE OF TITIE SET UP!!! This is a trapdoor: you can get easily confused when “setting up” the title because you think you’ll pay when you publish your book. NO! You MUST PAY just if you want to start working on a project. You CANNOT WORK on the platform (upload cover and interior) UNLESS YOU PAY UPFRONT. If you change mind and you don’t want to move forward with the project, YOU WILL OT GET THE MONEY BACK.
if they don’t credit my money back. It’s a goodbye for good. Quality is DISASTROUS.
Amazon KDP would wipe them out of business in 1 minute if they allow to print the format most photographers need 11 x 8.5 landscape

Hi I am a paying customer of bookvault and very disappointed over their treatment of me. I sent a support email request emails since monday to rectify an issue marked urgent another email on tuesday, raised another ticket and a few chasers since tuesday and yesterday still no response even though they promise a reply time of a day. This is the second time this has happened only that this time it's an expensive delay. I will be requesting my money back and escalation of the issue

The support team with bookvault.app were very helpful assisting me throughout the entire process uploading my book. They are also the best priced company I have found my objective was to give the best lowest possible to the public. Bookvault.app made it possible. Other companies wanted to charge also 8.00 Dollars more for the same print. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to publish a book. They also have a wider range of custom size book prints. If I could give them ten stars I would. Great work .

I have had books simply printed for me in the past by PrintOnDemand. they always did a great job.

I am now aware of BookVaulkt. This morning I rang them so I could speak to a real person and get some answers to specific questions. Martina was very helpful and was able to answer all my questions.

I look forward to moving forward with my plan to try BookVault.

There is a reason that KDP is the leader. I cant imagine a worse experience. They take days to get back to requests and questions. The proofs arrive with errors of their fault and then say “oh trust us the next print will work” so they dont even understand the purpose of a proof. One approved it takes well over a month to appear in stores. The app is confusing and online gelp is terrible.

Bottom line. I tried bookvault because i dont like that amazon is becoming a monopoly but i cant believe how terrible this company is at this dont waste your time and money.

BookVAULT has refused to issue me with an invoice for good that I have already paid for. As a business the need to produce VAT receipt's is paramount and I am doubtful there action is even legal.

Here is a response I have received from them, but it looks like they don't really care looking at other reviews.

I have stressed the urgency of it with the team to look into and the possibility of supplying it on request - but it is due to a restructure of our system in line with the US launch. We were sending invoices out to all of our customers and was causing a lot of confusion as they were thinking they were being charged again as had already paid upfront.

For this reason, there is no summary invoice, only for customers that are on a credit account where they will pay after receiving the invoice.
