I booked a 4-night horse riding holiday in Morocco through BookHorseRidingHolidays, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience.

I specifically chose this trip because it was advertised as a group riding holiday. However, upon arrival, I discovered I was completely alone. This made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable, ultimately forcing me to cut the trip short and book a new flight home at my own expense.

The company was entirely unhelpful when I raised this issue. They did not acknowledge the problem of being placed alone on what was meant to be a group trip, nor did they offer any meaningful support. Communication was poor throughout — I had to chase them for basic information, and nothing was provided proactively.

It left me questioning what value they actually provide as a platform. It felt like they simply take payment to promote experiences without properly vetting them or supporting customers when things go wrong.

The accommodation was also below expectations, and the overall setup felt more like staying with a host family than a structured holiday. While the local hosts were not at fault, the situation was uncomfortable and far from what had been advertised.

Overall, this experience felt misleading and poorly managed. I would not use this company again and would strongly recommend booking directly with reputable providers and doing thorough research beforehand.

I booked a horse-riding holiday with TNT Horseandheart in South Africa through Tripaneer.

Unfortunately, the horses were in poor condition & unsafe — we couldn’t ride at all, so the main activity I paid for was not delivered.

Additionally, the operator stated that his business is not registered for tax, despite taking paying guests, and Tripaneer has not addressed these concerns despite multiple attempts to contact them.

I strongly caution anyone considering this operator. I have also reported the situation to the National Consumer Commission, NSPCA, and SARS due to consumer protection, animal welfare, and regulatory compliance concerns.

I request that Tripaneer and other platforms remove this operator from listings until proper compliance is confirmed.

Woes an experience for me and my daughter. I booked a girl horse-riding camp for my daughter, but when we came nothing happened, no one knew about us and no camp on that day. The lady from the riding school was shocked as well as they hadn't received any information from the the bookhorseridingholidays. And to contact them is not easy. We lost time (4 hrs drive), upsetting my child and money!!!!

I booked a horse riding holiday via the website and had a terrible experience (severe safety concerns about the accommodation - no locks - and quality of horses - very risky behaviour during the ride). I brought this to the website provider's attention (Tripaneer), but they did not care.

No refund of the deposit, though I left early. They said they would investigate, though I doubt they will. Worst of all, they would not allow me to leave a review to warn other riders, just to keep their ratings high and the bookings coming.

This is reckless, greedy and keeps endanger people's health and safety - do not book with them!
