Great trail lovely huts, pretty easy booking process, but obviously a bit of a mark up compared with booking it myself, I guess that's the cost of convenience. Your app should have graphs with stan... See more

SNOW IN JUNE - BEWARE!!! not for beginners
My friend and I booked the BEGINNER KESCH TREK from June 21-23. This trek is described as "Gentle alpine trails for first-time multi-day hikers". We communicated with the company and they assured us that this trek was appropriate for experienced hikers seeking a first hut-to-hut experience. We ran into trouble on our very first day - soft, deep snow at high altitude prevented us from reaching our first hut, forcing us to cancel the entire trip. We got stuck several times into knee-deep snow in the T3 section of the hike and had to be rescued and guided back down to the Fluela pass by two hikers who were coming (sliding!) down the mountain. They advised us not to keep going as conditions were even worse ahead. The company never told us about possible deep snow. All of this could have been avoided as there are other approaches to the hut . The company did not refund us our trip and did not seem concerned about our ordeal. THIS IS NOT A HIKE FOR BEGINNERS. Be sure to seek advice from locals before hiking to understand conditions and possible alternative routes.

amazing trekking - will book again
amazing trekking, everything was taken care of. The app worked fantastic, also offline, for our route, to see the elevation, and for packing lists or other instruction. Will be booking through bookatrekking again!

Alta via del Granito
We booked the Alta via del Granito as fit, experienced hikers. The description did not note the significant portions of areas where there were exposed sections and rock scrambling. This is a difficult hike which should only be attempted by people with alpine experience. Additionally, the hike is listed as in the Dolomites. On the first day of the trip the staff at the Refugio’s noted that the trek was not in the Dolomites region. This should be noted on the website explicitly. The Refugio’s were welcoming and comfortable. The Book a Trekking staff were responsive to queries.

Easy booking process
Easy booking process, trickier for harder groups - accommodation level varies wildly.

Picos de Europa 3-day hut to hut trek
Overall my husband and I had an amazing time on the 3-day Picos de Europa trek. Bookatrekking was easy to use, the app helped us pack the correct gear, and the navigation feature was pretty good. We had never hiked in this area so it was very helpful to have the hikes already planned and accommodations booked. The Refugio Urriellu was so charming and we met interesting people from all over, and the Fuente Dé hotel was gorgeous and the indulgence so welcome after a very hard day of hiking. It was only about 6 hours of hiking per day which was good pacing for us. My husband especially and I are fairly experienced hikers and even for us there is a section on the second day between the Refugio Urriellu and Fuente De that was very exposed and scary, we went in mid June and there was a significant amount of snow on trail still and requires micro spikes or crampons to go. The trek recommends taking the left hand trail instead of the steeper, but more commonly traveled right hand trail - the left hand trail is slightly more gradual but still very steep and exposed and requires careful footing and is slow going. It is worth mentioning that we were the only hikers who took the left hand trail while many were going up the right hand trail - it is not well marked so we had to check the navigation constantly and were often not sure we were on trail. I'm sure it is probably easier when there is no snow on trail later in season. Apart from the two hours spent on this small part of day 2, the trails were well marked and the views absolutely spectacular. We are so glad we did it and would highly recommend Bookatrekking and this particular hike for experienced hikers.

The Dolomites were amazing
The Dolomites were amazing. Staying in rifugios was new to me. I wasn’t expecting so much comfort and history. The itinerary was perfect. We managed to experience so much over three days. The most magical hiking was actually on the final day, where we went through a high pass and down into Passo Gardena.

We had a marvelous trip trekking in the…
We had a marvelous trip trekking in the Julian Alps. However our last day of trekking led us to the top of a ski lift to ride the gondola down. The gondola was closed and this created quite a struggle to try to figure out how we would get back to our hotel. We fortunately were able to locate cable car for 40 euro to take us down. We added an extra mile and a half to our trip. It is very important to list closing times of the gondolas in the app. The gondola closed at 3 and we weren’t aware of this.
Otherwise we had a lovely trip and the hut hosts were delightful.

Alta Via del Granito
We really enjoyed the experience in the Dolomites, amazing views, the weather was very kind to us and the Rifugios were fantastic, especially the staff who looked after us!
We also enjoyed meeting all the fellow trekkers with there own stories to tell.
We found the route difficult but doable, although this was due to our lack of fitness.
We are already looking forward to trekking again and want to come back to Italy to see more of this wonderful country.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Kilimanjaro…
From June 5th to June 12th, we completed the Northern Circuit trek on Mount Kilimanjaro, and what an incredible adventure it was! A huge part of this success was thanks to the amazing team: Ray, Jimmy, Mr. Jambo, Baikiri, Ajugu, Frank, Esta, Isa, Wilson, Shaggy, and Gladison.
Thanks to their enthusiasm, patience, professionalism, and outstanding expertise, we not only enjoyed every single day of the trek but also successfully reached Uhuru Peak. No question was too much, and no challenge was too great. They continuously motivated us, took exceptional care of us, and created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the journey.
Their motto quickly became our motto: “One Team, One Dream!” And of course, we were often encouraged with the legendary phrase: “Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!” 😄
This trek is an experience we will never forget. The team made it so much more than just climbing a mountain; it became an extraordinary journey filled with fun, teamwork, determination, and unforgettable memories.
We wholeheartedly recommend this team to anyone planning to climb Kilimanjaro. With them by your side, you are in the very best hands.

Easy choice in choosing Alpine Ramble
I had a great experience working with Alpine Ramble. Dil took care of all the arrangements and was always available if there were any questions/concerns. I was never stressed during my time in Nepal, even when plans changed due to the weather. The Everest Base Camp trek, with helicopter return, was absolutely fabulous. I had a highly experienced guide, in Laxman, and a good porter as well, in Santa. The trek exceeded expectations and we made it to Base Camp on time and in good shape. I'd highly recommend Alpine Ramble for any trekking adventures in the area.

Cool Experience!
Everything was so well organized! Some of the hotels even offered free breakfast which was a lovely surprise. The App is very helpful as well! Sometimes the hotels were not located directly in the center of the towns but local taxis can easily be organized and are affordable. The offline navigation map worked very nicely and made me feel very safe on the trail. Make sure to always check & compare your app route with the local signs as the app can be sometimes show you a different route. Stay safe!

Walking the Eifelsteig
The guidance, advice and support after the trip was booked was excellent.
All of the hotels were waiting for us and we were given information about how to check in if there was no hotel reception

Manaslu circuit trek - April 2026
A week ago my friends and I completed the Manaslu circuit trek in Nepal with Alpine Ramble trekking company. It was a truly unforgettable experience! The trek was beautiful and also challenging at times. Our guide Dil Man and his team provided a clear plan and constant support, particularly in moments when one of us was dealing with altitude. Not a moment did he waver in his clear communication.
If I do another high altitude trek in Nepal I would certainly request Dil Man and the rest of the Alpine Ramble team to lead the effort once again. The organization and communication from Alpine Ramble managing director Dil was also excellent.
The trek itself brought us through different climate zones, from forests along deep gorges up to the snow covered Larke La Pass and back down through rhododendron forests. It exceeded my expectations. It also wasn’t too busy and the accommodations and food were great.
I highly recommend the Manaslu circuit trek and doing so with Alpine Ramble!

okayish adventure with some loopholes
it was a nice adventure, but somehow the trail hasn’t been planned well . we have left some many parts of the Trail and drove with Taxis . We saw people doing whole Madeira Trail also in 6 days ( ca 100km) which we actually did but not in the same pattern . Anyhow last year we did Dolomites Alta via 2 ( which was planned really well in comparison) .
Another issue is with tracking/ estimating the trail lenght especially on day 4( difference of 5-6km ) when the hike is already longer with 22.5 km , on day 5 ( also 4 km more ) on day 1 ( 4 km more ) reather than keeping some easy trails on on day 3 ( they could have divided the hike or atleast planned it better )
At the end it was very nice rain forest type experience. i would like to add nice trail running shoes ( waterproof ) with gaiters to the hike as a must rather than normal hiking shoes , trail running shoes are optimal in Madeira .
After our trail we did on our own some other Hikes to cover the trail which were left out and we really loved them .
But the accommodations were pretty good .
