Great furniture but supply chain and…

Great furniture but supply chain and customer service is a catastrophe. Everything was delayed. Different items that were expected at the same time came after each other. Information came late, customer service was not available. Delivery is very expensive compared to other providers. An item was slightly damaged. Haven‘t heard anything from customer service either….

Never order with Bolia - listen to the bad reviews, they are true!

We had a horrible experience ordering with this company. I went to the store in Hamburg to order two Sofas because I thought with such a high price it’s better to talk to an expert in person. First up, they handed the wrong address to the delivery company - a problem they only found out about on the actual date of the delivery. Nobody checked the address, the system did not pick up that the street name does not even exist in the indicated postal code. This alone is unacceptable. Then, we talked to countless incompetent people from costumer service on the phone - nobody was able to help us with our problem. We had to phone the delivery company ourself to get a new delivery date TWO WEEKS later. Next problem: they never showed up PLUS we were notified that both Sofas had been damaged in the meanwhile. Nobody from costumer service cared about this, we only got a 50€ gift voucher and an automatic notification - which is laughable, considering we payed over 8000€ for two sofas with damage we had not even seen yet. To this day, 8 weeks after ordering, the sofas did not arrive and we have not received a definite date of delivery yet. The company only told us „we will try to deliver tomorrow or the day after or maybe next week“. Well, if you can afford Bolia furniture, you probably have a full time job, making delivery arrangements like this extremely hard to meet.

Bottom line: mistakes happen, but if costumer service does not help you in a situation like this you feel helpless. Bolia is neither a trustworthy shop nor acts like a premium brand when mistakes on their end happen and I hope that people reading this review will refrain from trusting Bolia with their money.

Stressing experience in Belgium

After delivery of our order I will edit my previous review, that was vey emotional:

We were delivered at the third scheduled attempt, several weeks later, after loosing 3 days of work. I skip the details, but we conclude that Bolia Belgium has a real problem. We were inbetween two customer services, the logistic company and Bolia itself. We had the impression that the persons in line did not have enough decision power and that we were left to ourselves in an exhausting circuit, more focused at channeling our frustration through improbable excuses, than reaching for a realistic solution.
It was really unpleasant to put yourself in a position were you have to menace to cancel an order, to insist again and again...

On the positive side:
- when we claimed incurred costs they were judged reasonable and we were reimbursed.
- quality of the order was consistent to the item we saw in the shop

Conclusion: We do not think we will buy again from Bolia except for items already available.

Slooooooow delivery (and response)

Happy that they found new legs for my broken sofa.
Too bad it took four months to have shipped from Denmark to Norway and then had me to drive 1hrs to pick them up when the closest Bolia store is 5 min away.

It took me a lot of time to get my…

It took me a lot of time to get my “Drum” coffee table. First time I ordered it, paid for it and after almost 2 months Bolia wrote, that this furniture is oversold. I couldn’t understand why Bolia sell it on the website if they don’t have it…
Second time was successful. I prefer the quality of a furniture.

Bought a floorlamp
It would be delivered at home Why don’t your shops have stock ? I could easily take it home
A few days later there was a huge box delivered In the huge box there was a rather small box and that contained only the top of the lamp Called to Bolia The delivery would be in two !!!!! No message about that in the huge box Next day new box delivered also huge So it’s ridiculous and so Not substainable A car has to drive twice to deliver a lamp The lamp was wrapped in a huge amount of cardboard !!! It took me about an hour to make the cardboard little so that I could recycle it
Bolus look at your policy about that So bad for the climate

The 2 stars is for the customer…

The 2 stars is for the customer service.

We ordered a sofa and a bed on the 27 of Feb. When ordering we were able to choose delivery date and we chose 4th of May.
On the 28 of Feb (1 day after our order) we wrote support to change the delivery date and move it for 29 th of April (3 business days earlier).

They responded March 5th (5 days later) and advised it is not possible because products will not be in stock earlier.

The answer we received is strange because that date was available for selection when we placed the order. I tried to order same products and I could select that delivery date.

Conclusion:
1. Either customer support decided it’s too much hassle for them to change my order date a few days earlier.

2. The website and the order delivery pick tool should be updated.

Either way we are disappointed because we expected a bit more flexibility given the the Order is placed for almost 2 months in advance and the request was to deliver 3 business days earlier.

Unfortunately sometimes 3 days can also be enough for the dates of production to change at our manufacturer which could also be why we couldn't change it. Table incomplete and stained

I was super excited about the table ordered but when delivered the screws were missing and there were stains on the table top. Fortunately the delivery service opened the package with me and took it back right away! But…. No message from Bolia about this or about the money being refunded!

I am very disappointed with the UPS…

I am very disappointed with the UPS delivery and Bolia customer care. First, I received a damaged packaging and the product I ordered was broken (the foot of the floor lamp was dangling). I immediately informed Bolia customer care by email as advised by a salesperson in the shop that I called. But so far, 20 days later, I still have no news from them. I just received an email the day I submitted my request that for any complaint or return, the response time may be a little longer. 20 days is not a little! That’s a shame, and now I am worried about a sofa I have ordered... and should be delivered soon.

Product OK but not expedition

Happy with the product but the UPS parcel arrived damaged. I was informed of that before they delivered it and informed Bolia right away. I accepted it nevertheless as the inner packaging seemed to be OK. However it was not : I had to straighten the foot of the floor lamp as it was deviated. I thus avoided to return the product but so far (5 days after notifying Bolia by email), I have no news from them. Excellent design but manufacture not of so good quality. Conclusion: OK, but could have been better.

I'm very disappointed with customer…

I'm very disappointed with customer service of Bolia. I've order the lamp, which I decided to return. Customer service sent me return note and an address of the pick-up point, where the item should be sent. As I was sending a lamp via courier service I needed to include telephone contact to the shipment details. I contacted customer service again asking for a telephone number, which can be used as a reference for courier and I was told to use this phone number +45 88 96 02 26, but apparently the courier had trouble reaching someone on this number. On top of that, he was not able to find Bolia pick up point based on the provided address when he was delivering the package on February 9th. I immediately contacted Bolia customer service, asking for a valid contact and details of the address, but so far no respond. I tried to call customer service but no one answered. The package is now stored in parcel center and cannot be delivered to pick up point due to missing address information and no one from Bolia replies to my emails. My last possible return date was February 12th. I'm not really sure what to do next. I believe I have provided correct delivery details confirmed by Bolia. I'm really afraid that I won't get my money back for the lamp... I have never experienced such a situation with returning of the item. I really love Bolia furniture but their customer service has disappointed me and I'm not sure if I will buy again in this store.
