If I'm totally honest

If I'm totally honest - I noticed very little changes to my body despite consistent weekly training and consistent healthy food intake. >£150 a month is far too much for little results. Staff were variable in their friendliness, often lazy to train you, and preferred to advocate holistic treatments. Will not be going back. I gave two stars, because if you need something to kick start yourself to exercise, you can start here to gain some weekly discipline. Soon enough however, you're better off spending your money elsewhere.

"Bodystreet Is a Scam Built on Lies — Read the ASA Ruling Before You Waste Your Money"

If you ask the team behind these claims for the scientific evidence supporting their statements on the website, you’ll be met with non-peer-reviewed studies that are not even aligned with the very concepts they claim to promote. The assertion that "20 minutes is all it takes" or that "20 minutes is equivalent to 2 or 3 hours at the gym" is complete nonsense—unsubstantiated and fabricated nonsense, at that. Anyone with a background in sports science and nutrition can easily explain that all the claims made on this website are baseless.

In fact, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) had the following to say about these absurd claims:

"The claim that just one 20-minute session per week is equivalent to 3 one-hour sessions at a regular gym had not been substantiated and was therefore deemed misleading."
The ASA ruled that the ad breached several rules of the CAP Code (Edition 12), specifically:

Rule 3.1 (Misleading advertising)
Rule 3.7 (Substantiation)
Rule 3.11 (Exaggeration)

Despite this ruling, Bodystreet continues to use these misleading straplines across their social media and website. They have also been asked to remove numerous other unsubstantiated claims found throughout their marketing materials—claims that are not supported by any credible scientific research. I understand there is another ASA complaint being looked at currently around the same issues and non response to this report and the lack of amendments being made to the multitude of unsubstaitiated claims.

The Bodystreet franchise and others like it are misleading the public, convincing them to pay for a service built on totally unfounded claims. If you're unsure about any of the assertions made on their website, I strongly recommend reading the ASA report linked above or consulting a qualified sports science graduate, health and fitness professional, or nutritionist. They will easily debunk the unsubstantiated claims being peddled. Ask for the qualifications of the franchise owner and those working in the shop, this also might suprise you.

Stay away from these fraudsters and don't fall for their deceptive tactics.

strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I strongly encourage anyone considering this franchise to not only read the lower reviews of this place (begin by clicking the “lowest” filter) — but also the owner’s responses. You’ll notice a recurring pattern — he frequently dismisses legitimate complaints, talks back to customers, and often accuses them of lying or misunderstanding, rather than taking responsibility. It gives the impression of someone more focused on control than customer care.

Be aware that the sessions, the so-called “metabolic restart,” and the overall model didn’t deliver any meaningful benefits. On top of that, you will be charged for extras like socks and a towel — even though the studio provides them — and you’ll likely be told the EMS suit is “yours,” when in reality, it isn’t.

My own experience was incredibly disappointing. Despite offering multiple forms of reasonable and relevant documentation to explain why I could no longer continue the service, I was met with refusal after refusal, shifting expectations, and an utter lack of compassion or professionalism.

He made inappropriate remarks about needing my payments to “pay staff” for sessions I couldn’t attend, directed me back to himself when I asked to speak to head office, and became increasingly patronising during our communication. Even after confirming in writing that my membership was cancelled, he later reversed this and began sending threatening messages demanding full payment.

The tone throughout was dismissive, confrontational, and at times manipulative. It left me feeling completely unsupported and gaslit.

At one point, I was told to arrive 15 minutes early (8:45am) for a scheduled session at 9:00am and was left waiting outside until 9:15am. 45 minutes, first thing in the morning, in cold winter. The studio hadn’t even been unlocked — no one was there. Just one of many examples of how unprofessionally things were handled.

Again, I strongly recommend reviewing not just the complaints, but how they are handled. That alone says everything you need to know about the ethos of this business.

If you value being treated with respect, fairness, and basic human decency, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I have been going to Bodystreet since Nov 2021. Roger and Mateo as well as people i have met in the sessions have motivated and inspired me to achieve my goals of weight loss and toning with building muscle before my 60th birthday in jan 2023. I cannot praise EMS training enough especially with the personal service and tailored advice provided by Roger and mateo also to my nutrition as well as fitness.....
