rank coffee

for a shop that charges through the roof for coffee you’d think they would have enough money to pay real people to be in their advertisements instead of ruining the planet and using AI

Food was awful and overpriced

Food was awful and overpriced. Soup was watery, toastie was like flimsy warm bread with cheap cheese slices. Açai bowl not as advertised, no strawberries very icy. Will not be back and would not recommend the Strabane branch.

Bob & Berts - What is very evident is absolute lack of training and management present.

Bob & Berts – Stirling
Here’s our experience of Sat 24th Jan @ Stirling. Walk in, none of the staff notice you and / or even greet you. Faced with a pay-up-front and self-order system. Trying to find a table, they are mostly laden with dirty dishes from previous customers. We find a table, we clear the dishes etc, I find a staff member stacking a fridge and ask him it’s possible to get the table cleaned, it was as if I asked him this giant task, again zero customer engagement, in fact the opposite. He comes and sprays the table with some chemicals and walks away, I had to go find tissues and wipe the table dry.
Whilst we are waiting for the food to arrive the lady at the table next to us, her food arrives, no fork, the waitress advises they are still in the dishwasher!
After about 30 minutes I ask the young lass behind the counter if anyone knows when our food will arrive, she comes back after about 5 minutes and shouts over probably a minute. About 10 minutes later the food arrives and almost thrown at us, zero customer manners / engagement.
I have taken some pictures of the tables lying dirty, there was also food crumbs lying all over the floor.
Conclusion: When I pay £34 for two burgers I expect at the least hygiene, self service for me stops after self-ordering, I’m not cleaning their tables for them. What this definitely reeks of is – the average staff member/s are very young / probably still at school. I worked in a take away whilst at school, no excuse. What is very evident is absolute lack of training and management present.
The overall Trust Pilot scoring / feedback is 2.4 – 67% @ 1 star ! If this was my business I would be taking note.
The vibe I got was its just about the $$, zero customer engagement / interaction / basic manners and overall, very poor hygiene.
Never again.

Extremely poor service

Re Bob and Bert’s, Blackpool.
My wife and I have had a number of visits to Bob and and Bert’s Blackpool and have found our experiences on the positive side if truth be known. However, on 21st October was nothing short of horrendous. Ordered soup and a toastie for two people, flat white and a hot chocolate, maybe I should have asked for a hot flat white as well as the chocolate as it was only just warm.I won’t bore you with the exact details as I have written to Bob and Bert’s regarding my complaint. Their email response was just a stock apology, and they closed with I hope you return in the future

Very expensive

Nice coffee but incredibly expensive. A takeaway black Americano in my own cup was £3.60 compared to £1.45 at Greggs. Definitely won't be returning

Can Always Recommend

Have had positive experiences at several locations in Ireland, namely Omagh, Portrush, Newtownards and Lisburn. The Eggs Benedict is gorgeous– beautiful Hollandaise sauce, lots of bacon and perfectly poached eggs every time. You get a good big fry too– although a bit bread-heavy/ "economy-fry". Coffee good too, although if you don't specify "regular" you'll typically get a bucket of milky coffee. A flat white is a flat white– there's no such thing as a large one, it then becomes a latte! Cleanliness is adequate, but the décor/branding isn't the best in my opinion. Very 2010's, time for a bit of minimalism I think. I'd do away with the cringy plaques and juvenile slogans. It's all a bit too "live laugh love" for me, if you see what I mean. Great place overall though, one of my go-to places for brunch. Menu just right and prices bang on what's expected. Service exactly what it needs to be and no more. Having glasses of water available by self-service is something everywhere should do!

IT HAS OFFICIALLY REACHED DUMP STANDARD

Visited Bob and Berts on the High Street Dunfermline. We go the odd times we are in the centre of the City. Disgusting would be a generous review. Tables piled with previous occupier's dirty plates, tables clear but not wiped and covered in goop and puddles, the floor looked like somebody had a food fight. To add to it, they have installed machines where you are supposed to do the job yourself and make your own order. Will we be asked to go in the kitchen and cook it ourselves next? Staff have faces like thunder and customers not happy. The one thing this place had going for it were friendly staff but not now, they look stressed and fed up. It has officially reached dump standard.

Terrible value; avoid

Went to bob and Bert’s in Dunfermline. Ordered their small breakfast for £10. Came with one egg, one bacon, beans and one cut pancake. When I asked for syrup for the dry pancake, they showed up with their card reader and asked for £1.20!
Much better value and service elsewhere. Avoid this place.

Discrimination

Having been a fairly regular customer I now find that their loyality programme now excludes anyone who does not have or can't use a 'smart' phone.
